After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! I've always wanted to see a wallpaper with this scan, but I had no idea how to approach it and I'm so glad you got a hold of it! You've made me a very happy person by adding the texture to his cloak, and it works very nicely against the texture of the sand dunes that you painted in the background. And I don't think you could really see the textures if you turned them down, so I'll disagree with those advising you to do so o_o The stars were well placed so that you can't tell if any brushes were repeated or not (always a plus!), and the visibility of the sand flowing out from his hand in to the air was executed perfectly. I think if you had deepened the gradation of the shadows in the vector it would have increased the richness and depth of the entire piece, but you stayed true to the vector and didn't skimp on any details so it's still very nice. And you even thought of us widescreeners! This is definitely a favorite of mine " View

Moving right along, I'm very impressed with the amount of detail that you captured repainting that image! I love the somewhat blurry feel the entire piece has, as it keeps the focus on Tifa were it needs to the most. The only real negative thing I have to comment on would be the colors that you used for Tifa... She's fairer skinned and has darker hair, so the way she came out in this image makes her look like a different ethnicity (the lips actually aren't bad if you think about it that way... they look pinker because of the color of her skin and hair). Anyways, if you want to add to the feel of dust blowing around him you could try lightly erasing places of the overlaying tetxure (I'm assuming you used one? ) and varying the degree of "thickness of the dust" to give it a more authentic effect. Another way to help this is by using a sort of mist or horizontal cloud brush to deepen the look in places.

I'm so glad to see how this turned out! Lightening up the hair a bit and giving it a soft blue sky for a background made this very eye-catching in a good way. Now it has a simplistic, but very ethereal and angelic atmosphere. Adding shading/lighting to the gold necklace would have added to the effect you were going for and would have kept the jewelry from being flat, but aside from that I think it looks very nice. It's so bright and airy, I need something light to lift me away from the dark and creepy wallpapers I keep making

"I think the hair has the right amount of lines, actually, as they give it depth. Though I realize her eyes are supposed to have a vacant feel it would help the wallpaper if they had a bit of a glow within them to keep them from looking so flat. The gold accents look very flat compared to the detail in her hair. On the left side of her face the skin is a straight line where it touches the hair- if you want it to look more natural you might consider going and fixing the hairline. There's also a lot of contrast between the dark shading of her hair and the stark white background- if that concerns you then you can fix this either by lightening her hair a tad or adding a glow effect since she's holding the feather (for example- you can make it look like light is coming off of the feather rather than a mist surrounding as it is now).

The realism of the tree and the more abstract rolling hill feel very out of place while the open end of the wall looks too smooth and blurry. Think about it this way, a broken brick would look more jagged as opposed to looking as though it's melting off, and the misshapen grout lines right before the crumbling wall even starts doesn't make any sense. It really is a lovely vector and you nailed the lighting, it just needs a better transition into being a full scale wallpaper (though the sky extends perfectly!). " View

If punks are stealing it's unfortunate that everyone has to be punished, but that's life. It's not exactly fair for the teachers to go through that, and showing such disrespect for them doesn't exactly make me feel sorry for any of the students, but rather that they brought it on themselves. Wanting to feel at home at school is nice, but it isn't home and demanding such is more immature than heroic.
But leaving my two cents aside, I'll get back to the wallpaper. The perspective for this wallpaper is phenomenal, and it definitely deserves the SSS ranking that it holds.
