After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Thank you, I will keep it in mind ^^

Well if the figure is official I think that's fine as most of the time figures are made from official artwork anyway.

*moutonzare 1 hour 11 minutes ago
@Bantam: A little question, is a vector made out from a picture of a figure acceptable on AP?

Naruto meets Sasuke

1 month 4 weeks ago

"If ever there was something that was the epitome of beauty in simplicity, this is it.

The vector is very well done. For me, as someone who does not know how to, I am always in awe. The blue shading gets me - it is just so gorgeous. I would not normally think that this color scheme would work with this, but it just all meshes together so nicely.

I think you really captured the essence of the scene here. Just wow. I won't even try to describe what I think you captured - that would ruin it.

If anything, the birds in the background are kind of random though, if you ever wanted to take something out of the background. They don't distract me too much, but when I first see them, I wonder, "Why are they there?"

The wispy clouds are great as well. I thought maybe they were part of the opening theme, but then I read your description. Wow."

"I love it, but I was disappointed that I could not get the 1280x960 version. I've tried many times, but it will just not load.

The clouds are exquisitely done (and I love the positioning of Naruto in all of it). The fence is good, too, although, at least to me, the shadowing on the fence itself looks off compared to how much a shadow it gives. Then again, what do I know? Just an observation.

The shadows of the characters themselves are great though. It just is a fantastic job all over. (Just really wish the 1280x960 would load)"

What is Our Destiny?

"Wow - you vectored. I'm in awe. I only could tell a little with Cagalli. They both look as if they are from the original artwork .^_^.

Ahem - Cagalli-Athrun = love.

Now for the rest of the review. The background is simply amazing. The color range is beautiful, makes me look twice. Somehow, it conveys to me a stretch from Earth to Outer Space with how you set up things in the back, and that is so suitable and gorgeously done, I almost don't have words...and I'm running out of adjectives .^_^.

Great work. Be proud!"

Believe it

4 months 2 weeks ago

"It really is an amazing wall. The black and white really makes Naruto stand out in the middle, and it was a really great touch to fade out part of his legs as if he is part of the black and white part as well.

And I love the choice of the quote "Believe it!" So many people get annoyed by it, but I think it's great (makes me smile everytime he says it!). And plus, I think it really represents Naruto well.

I don't totally understand the brushes/artwork next to the words you have around Naruto. I see the arrows for strong, but...don't understand why they are there...or any of the other brushes next to the other words, like pressure and passion. Are they supposed to be something I just can't see?

I just noticed the blue and pink sparkles for Sasuke and Sakura - I thought that was great. Kind of like their spirits are with Naruto in a very friendship-y feel .^_^.

Great job!"

sasuke´s autumn

4 months 3 weeks ago

"Wow. Just really beautiful. It has a great artistry feel to it, and this is a side of Sasuke we barely ever get to see, so it really is a great choice.

I wonder though...why orange? Do we have a NaruSasu fan on our hands? .>_<. Just a really interesting choice because you usually see Sasuke in darker colors, namely blue, you know? Although, you could have chosen orange because of the autumn theme you were clearly going for.

The scribbles...at first, I wasn't so hot about them, but the more I look at the wall, they fit. I like how they are more condensed near Sasuke and then are more far apart. Just feels right...and meaningful, although I'm not articulate enough right now to voice exactly how.

Great job!"

Ichiraku Ramen -- It's That Good

"Loving it! It's so hilarious...and yet cute .^_^.

I don't know much about vectoring, but the image, the characters, look fantastic. I love how Naruto is the only one who's with it. He has to alert everyone that someone is taking a picture .>_<. Priceless. And the background looks great! If I hadn't read your blurb about this wallpaper, I would never have known that you did it yourself. Amazing!

I like the bowls...and their faces *chuckles* It is just too good. Good work!"

Precious Rose

"I LOVE this. Gah. I don't have words (although, I shall try). It just is gorgeous on sight - that's my first impression.

I really like the choice of the black-and-white for most of the background. Makes Cagalli and Athrun, along with the lone-border rose, stand out, which just gives a great effect all over. And the song is rather appropriate. Really liked how you used the lyrics in the background, but...why all caps? Kind of takes away from it, giving it a harsh feel, especially since you have script in the middle. Unless the caps in the background are like a rose's thorns, and the script font is the actual rose .^_^. I know, I'm stretching it .^_^.

Great job! Cagalli-Athrun = love .^_^."

"I kind of want to cry looking at this wall. After watching Gundam Seed, I really didn't think I would ever see these two so peaceful. Thanks for choosing these images as your focus since it is so rare .^_^.

I get the leaves, but what is underneath everything? Is it a mosaic of some kind? It doesn't feel 100% right here with the picture and the leaves, although it's clear you put a lot of work into the background. And congrats on filling that inch of space in between the two pictures! The effort you put in really shows; you have showcased a magnificent piece of art.

Good job!"

To where the stars fall

"Wow. Just >wow<. What an amazing wall. I'm taken aback. It's just gorgeous.

The colors of the background behind Lacus, the galaxy imagery, matches and compliments her own color scheme so well. The image of Lacus is cropped so well - I'm in awe .>_<. Really looks flawlessly done. I like how you chose to have the sparkles near her arms in an arc (makes me feel like she'd really hug whoever she's reaching out to .^_^.). Also, how you have the stars moving behind her just seems to fit to the whole idea you have going.

It's just so beautiful. Be proud of this!"

Fixation

5 months 3 weeks ago

"I really have to say that I love the choice of the clouds - just gives it a really awe-inspiring, yet carefree, feel. (Plus, it fits since the whole Shikamaru and cloud theme). What I'm curious about is the texture choice; the grainy, old, sepia tone thing going on just doesn't seem to fit. Unless, you were going for something that was memory-esque. I also don't understand the importance or significance of the word "Fixation." Perhaps I'm just not making the connection; they don't seem fixated on anything here. Kind of throws me off and draws away from the beautiful work you've done here. The text is just...there.

It's a good wall though; don't get me wrong .^_^."

Last Resort

"The ice...kind of doesn't look like ice. Looks more like...well, I want to say glass, but not even that. Maybe a bit cardboard-like. I just think it really took away from the feeling of the wall - especially for those who have seen the scene. You can definitely tell you put a lot of work into it, but something about the mirrors just don't seem right. *shrugs*

I really liked the added touch of the Nine-Tails eye behind Naruto. The swirl around him looks amazing! That was really expertly done, and it really just brings up the intensity level.

Naruto's hair is kind of flat, but that's the vector, right? To each their own, I guess. I don't like that flatness, but that is really just a personal opinion.

Nice work."

Monster

11 months 1 week ago

"Intense. Really like it.

I love what you've done around him. The choice of orange is a clear one, but I like how you extended that to the white rays as well. It helps with the blur of his lower half. Is there supposed to be an eye behind Naruto's right shoulder? (our left) Is it supposed to be that of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox? If so, it's certainly a great touch.

But...I don't get the stars in the background (or the flags, although I could be missing something). You have so much brightness, so I suppose it makes for a good contrast, but I wasn't quite sure how that fit.

'Monster' is a rather strong word (whether or not I agree here). Making it in caps was a great choice - really brings home what you want here, I think.

All that white around him reminds me of the smoke from when he and Sasuke were fighting Haku. Just a thought - which just emphasizes how much the white works here.

Good job."

"I think this was a great image of Naruto to pick to vector - it's clear you put a lot of work into it .^_^.

I actually didn't even notice the background behind him until I read what you typed about this wall, but it really fits the wall. It doesn't draw attention away from Naruto, which is excellent since he's really the focus. At the same time, the choice of shades of green works - unfortunately, I can't say why, but the more I look at it, the more I feel like it fits. *shrugs*

It really is a great vector. Good job!"

"Friends"

11 months 1 week ago

"Shall we talk about the greatness of this wall? We shall.

Love the choice of black and white - really makes everything stand out, and oddly, really makes it intense. The warm quote of 'Friends Last Forever' is totally obliterated by the looks on their faces, the cold color theme of the wall, and of course how you chose to present the text - having the words all broken up is perfect, and just a wonderful choice. It really speaks about what is going on.

At first, it sort of irked me that Sasuke's sharingan symbol took up more of the wall than Naruto's sealing symbol, but then I noticed how they kind of mixed, or fit, together. I REALLY liked that. Thought it really conveyed a lot, but on a subtler level. Great job."

Don't blame, Don't complain

"It's just so nice to look at .>_<. The soft feeling really overwhelms me - in a good way. I didn't think I would like Eagle in any wall, but you shocked that out of me really quick.

I was so focused on the glorious work you did on the Eagle screencap, I first neglected the background off to the left. Why brick? Why the blood? I don't understand how it fits. Unless, like in the manga, Eagle is sick, which would explain the blood, but the brick I don't see the connection. Although, it does blend in with the dark tones in Eagle's skin - in that way, it does fit.

Good job."

"This is just so amazingly gorgeous. I think I just stared in awe for awhile before I was able to type up an opinion.

I love what you did with the girls - all in their proper color. The shading is expertly done.

But what is going on with the shapes on either side? And why the darkness near Hikaru? I just didn't get that. It's still an amazing wall, but those things threw me. I was gazing at the wonderfulness of what you did with the characters, and then I looked at the rest and did not understand. Why? How does it connect? Or did you just want some kind of pattern around them?

It's still amazingly done, but I suppose on a personal level, I did not understand what you did on either side .>_<."

Rayearth: A Prayer for Cephiro

11 months 1 week ago

"After reading what you wrote about your wall, I have gained a higher respect for what you have done here. At first I was going to say that I wished it was lighter, but based on what you said you wanted to convey, it really does fit well. (plus I love Clef .>_<.) At first I thought this was an image from the OVA, but evidently not. You really colored it in fantastically! I would never have known! The shine from his staff was a great idea and fits with how you have a glow around him, but the rest falling into darkness. From what I can tell, you didn't color in the rubble crumbling down around him - VERY good decision. I think it conveys how vibrant he is, while the destruction signifies only chaos and nothingness. I just really liked that.

And, of course, the text was a great touch. Now I have to re-read Magic Knight Rayearth .>_<. A prayer, but not a prayer, right?"

In Another World

"I just really love this. It does indeed look like we are peering in on them from another world. On the other hand, I don't like how the blur/swirl is over Fuu's face. I understand what you were trying to do, but it's a bit bothersome that Umi and Hikaru's faces are untouched while Fuu's is slightly covered. I know that's just how the image is, but it's just I thought. I still really love the wall - it has a great feeling to it. I don't know why, but the choice of color you had for the circular blur/swirl works very well. Good job."

"*squeals like an ultimate fangirl* You have made me SoOO happy. I do not think you can process it.

I love this to an extent that I can barely put it into words. I shall try though.

I'm not sure if you altered the image so that Yuri and Wolfram looked a bit different because, to me, they look a bit cut-out like, or a bit more artsy than what I normally see in drawings of them. I really liked that choice (again, if you did indeed alter it.) I don't understand vectors at all, so I am indeed in awe. It really came out great.

Liked the beige-ness - unusual choice, but it surprisingly looks good with the image. The rainbow with the dots and sparkles was a nice touch. I thought it was well placed, like it's almost coming out of their hearts (more on Yuri's side than on Wolfram's here.)

Just, gah!, the best!

(and love the shading, too .>_<.)"

'Victorian'

"This is just gorgeously done. I'm just in awe. I didn't think the brown/beige background would really work, but you really pulled it together so well. I couldn't even tell you used the cut-outs/scans! I thought that the three knights were really already wearing the clothes. Therefore, that aspect was amazingly done as well.

The only thing that didn't work exactly for me was how you made their faces and bodies blurred a bit. I get where you are coming from in the art aspect, but I wanted to see them clearly - think it would have given the wall a crisper feeling.

Don't get me wrong though - it's still a fantastic wall."

Dark angel

11 months 1 week ago

"I love it! The color scheme is perfect - the progression from absolute black to lighter where Dark is placed is well executed. I like what you did to the image (and forgive me if you didn't do what I think you did .>_<.) I like the blurred feeling a bit and the charcoal-like, drawing feel that I see the most in his hair. Love the light you chose to have coming out of his hand and the strands of light, too, but especially the one that looks like it's coming out of his finger. It's kind of a contrast to him - him being 'Dark' but light coming from him. I like that especially. I also liked the placement of the text - 'dark' is in the dark part of the wall, and the word 'angel' is properly placed on the lighter side near him - perhaps he's more of an angel than dark? Very well done."

"Love it! You wouldn't think that all that black would fit with Diasuke, but it really does! I really like how the black of his shirt pretty much melts into the background - really nice touch. The design in the middle strip is just amazing; it's apparent you put a lot of work into it. However, I don't see how the design connects with Daisuke or the wall. Color-wise, definitely, and it is rather nice to look at, but I don't see a link to the anime or the character.

It really is a great wall, though, my non-connecting mind notwithstanding. Very cleanly executed. Good job."

walk to the light

11 months 2 weeks ago

"I didn't think I would like the beige/tan color you chose, but it really does work so well! The text/quote is highly suitable, and I like how you decided to place it behind Diasuke, almost touching him, but not quite. Like he's listening to what the words say and is indeed walking to the light. The paint splatter behind the text though - I don't see how it fits. However, since you have the elegant calligraphy behind the text as well, perhaps you were trying to emphasize the difference between light and dark, the wrong and right path: the visually appealing calligraphy representing light and the pain splatter paralleling the dark. I might be reading way too much into it though .^_^.

Well done."

"Love it! I think the colors you chose for the pattern/details you have in the back, behind Diasuke, was a really great choice. The work you put into it clearly shows and is phenomenal - not that I understand too much about making walls, but if you used brushes for the background, just WOW. The white tidbits that look like flowers - they really are a great touch, especially when they look like they are just disappearing into the wall. (I don't know how quite to explain it.) The circle theme really fits well - I'm just in awe at the work you have done here. Great job!"

Feathers! EDITED

11 months 2 weeks ago

"I really like the wall, but I feel like too much is obscuring Diasuke's face. I definitely like the thought process you had behind it - the whole feathers cut-out overlay. However, I feel, like I've stated, it hides too much of Diasuke's face. Perhaps it's more or less what you chose to cover up - for instance, the line across his eye from the feathers, and the covering of his nose. It seemed a bit fragmented.

But, it really is a good wall. Very cleanly executed .^_^."
