"I'll have to agree with the black "box" around the scan, but I'll attribute that to your monitor. I often come across the same problem when working on my TFT and later doing finishing touches on my laptop. Maybe next time, before publishing, try looking at it with different levels of brightness and gamma - or even better a second monitor.
Other than that, I really love the greenish tint; I've seen other walls made of this scan and most of them use a bluish color theme; the green is a fresh idea and does give it a nice mysterious feel.
As the previous commenter said: with a bit of work, this might make a pretty amazing wall, so don't give up on it yet;)"

"Nice, I really like the composition and placement.
The colors really give this piece a nice atmosphere (I love the flower!).
The only thing that bothers me is that spot on the back wall; it seems kind of out of place.
I think the wall would work just as well - maybe even a bit better - without it. Since the spot somewhat gives importance to the wall, which, however, is blank. It's somewhat distracting.
Otherwise, great wall! It'll definitely find its way into my collection."

I think you did well in the transition from the scan to the wall; taking out the colors might have changed the atmosphere but I personally like monocolored walls for their simplicity.
The only thing which looks a tiny bit odd is the brightness of the character; I think you might have made her a little darker to better fit in with the background.

The image on the whole seems kind of too centered to me, without anything outstanding to grab my attention. So maybe you could somehow work those two together?

"I personally don't think it looks too empty.. I'm not too fond of wallpapers with hundreds of layers of effects that make your desktop look like the screen might just pop out of its frame since it can't hold them all anymore..
Seeing the wall in full view definitely gives it more detail. I really like what you did with the plants; also the halfway hidden text is well done.
What can I say? It may not be perfect, but I still like it. Good job!"
