After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"I totally agree with all the crits given so far like her feet and her hair etc. The one thing that really jumped out at me was the colour of the highlights on Miku and the butterfly, I think they need to be a bit warmer in colour (if that makes sense) as the sun is setting. At the moment I think they are too cold, I can see though you've already done it a bit with some of her hair but I think it needs a bit more. By doing that it should help blend her into the background some more.
Really lovely wall so far and it'll look even better when you've done all the small amendments everyone has suggested. I can't wait to see the finished article.
Amazing work, I love the vid too. I'm not sure what else to say apart from this really makes me want to learn painter more. Fantastic piece *bows to you*
Wow, this is weird! I'm making a wall of Mio on this background taken from a screen cap from the ending credits!! I totally understand your pain with the background, it's a total pain in the backside. I'm having issues with it too. I've resorted to painting it roughly with a brush dabbing in all the colours and then when I'm done I'm going to apply a blur too it. I'm hoping it'll give a similar effect. Here's what I mean... It still needs a lot of work so excuse the cruddy-ness!
I think you did a great job with it though seeing as it's so nightmare-ish. Ritsu looks cute, although I think the lines are a bit too jaggedy. Aside from that though you did a good job! I hope my ramblings help in some way :3

Everything little thing on there is so beautifully constructed. You did such a fantastic job even the concept is awesome. The three things that I love most about this wallpaper are the colour (pink is the best), that it's a Tengen wall (Tengen is one of my fave anime's) and the amount of time and care you obviously put into making this wallpaper!

"I have to agree with what ~GamerchiX said. It's a good idea for a wall paper, but you have to consider would someone who hasn't read your comments realize who the blood belongs too?? Before I read your comments it didn't even occur to me that it was Aeris/Zack's blood.
I like what ~GamerchiX child has suggest you change on this wallpaper. You definitely need to add Aeris and Zack into this wallpaper to make what you are trying to get across more clear. The execution will have to be a lot more planned out than what it is at the moment. I like the idea of the flowers and the church although I personally feel it's very cliche for a Final Fantasy VII wallpaper. If I were you I would maybe choose Cloud and Zack and have them in the wallpaper together maybe in a more dark setting like a Mako Reactor or in Nibelheim. The Possibilities are endless.

"Hmmmm I think it still needs some work, but it's a good start
To me the perspective on the girl compared to the perspective on the flowers is off which makes the wallpaper feel strange. It almost looks like she's leaning forwards or is about to take off or something, the wheel thing behind her adds to this feeling as it's also at the same perspective she is. You need to sort this out before you can do anything. I would start by bringing the horizon line up (at least I'm assuming it's a horizon line and not a wall behind her). You may need to find some new brushes that suit the perspective a bit better for the flowers or even try making them appear smaller than what they are or smaller at the bottom bigger at the top. If you use photoshop you should be able to play around with the Transform tool to make the bottom smaller and top bigger. It's going to be a tough thing to achieve but if you pull it off it'll look fab.
The second thing I would do is get rid of that ying/yang in the top left corner. To me it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the wallpaper.
Also as ~YMI said the orange leaves behind the circle wheel thing don't look good. I would either try a different colour as the orange clashes or try lowering the opacity on that orange section.
Good luck with the changes. I'm sure this wall will end up looking beautiful ^_^" View

This wall is absolutely mind blowlingly amazing. Your talents are astounding and your walls never cease to amaze me x
"Beautiful vector and everything else. The background is a tad plain but I personally like it like that because all the focus is on the wonderful job you did with the vector of Nia.
"To be honest with you I think this wallpaper needs a lot of work before it will be accepted into the gallery. The idea is good but the execution needs work.
The extraction of Link should be the first place you start. You can clearly see white sections where there shouldn't be any if this was extracted properly. The normal website I would link to with a tutorial on doesn't seem to be working so I searched on google for you. This method, if you use photoshop, should be fairly accurate.
Animepaper is very strict when it comes to extraction, I remember my first wallpaper was rejected quite a few times because of the extraction. In the end I asked Trismugistus (he used to be staff on here) for help and he sent me back the following advice:
Trismugistus
Work only on high res scans. Zoom in to about 600-800 times magnification and then use the polygon lasso tool to eat away the bits you don't want. Stroke and pencil can be used to build up any lines that are flakey or fade out too thinly.
Once you've finished extraction, clean the scan and only then should you consider shrinking the scan at all. However, really you should make your walls at as large a res as possible, but obviously not so big your system can't cope.
So that should also help you out.
As for the background well it definitely needs more work. It looks to me that you've taken some concept art from the game blown it up and then put a filter over the top to hide the pixelation. Which for Animepaper's high standards won't be good enough. I'm not sure what to suggest on this. It needs more work. Link and the background fit together... Maybe your only hope is to find a really hi-res version of the background image and putting Link on top. To be honest though I'm still not sure this would be enough, so you might be best off going for something more simple. My advice for this would be to look through some tutorials and experiment. If you need inspiration then maybe take some time to look through The Legend of Zelda wallpapers that DID get accepted. I'm not saying copy them but it may spark an idea that you can use...
Maybe some one else will reply with a fantastic idea and normally I would try to think of one but work has killed my brain!!
Good luck with the changes though and I hope you come up with something fantastic!" View

"It's a good start but not ready to be submitted yet. There's a couple of issues that I can see that definitely need work.
The first is how the character fits in with the background. At the moment it feels a lot like you've just plonked the PNG on top of the background so she doesn't feel like she blends. It's a little like she's just floating there. So my first bit of advice would be to be to put a shadow under the bottom of her legs and dress. Make sure it's in the direction of the rest of the shadows, so the light source looks like it's coming from the top left on the character so follow that. I would say maybe go for a shadow with soft edges and maybe put it on multiply (as a layer blend) so you can see all the detail on the floor through it still.
The second thing that bugs me is the grass. It looks ok but it just doesn't have any depth, the blades of grass just don't seem to get smaller the further back or closer to the mountains in the background. It just makes the wallpaper look a bit odd. You might be able to fix this by two methods. The first is to make the blades of grass a lot smaller the closer they get to the edge of the mountains in the background. The second is to move the mountains a bit higher up in towards the moons. That might help, but you still may need to add the smaller blades of grass in. Maybe adding some grass into the foreground too might help add that little bit more depth.
Those are the only two things I can see at the moment so make those changes and the wall should look a lot better with a lot more depth and less like the character if floating!

"I like the idea but it needs some work.
~cosme mentioned it before but the extraction definitely needs work as does the quality of the image in general. It looks a bit artifacted if your not sure what I mean by that check out the scans section of the AP FAQ, it mentions about it in there.
I also agree with ~cosme about the background a gradient would look nice. Maybe think about adding a shadow in under the characters too. It kinda looks like they are floating at the moment and a shadow should help. If you go for a gradient maybe go for a lighter colour at the top and a darker shade of that colour at the top.
Also I don't think the text is needed. I find myself saying this a lot but it feels like you've added it in for the sake of having text on the wall. If I were you I would remove it completely and leave the focus on the characters and the dragons in the background. Of course leave your sig on there ^_^
Good luck, I think this wall will look pretty once you've tweeked and perfected it. The idea is really nice though!

I think try moving him maybe so he's off centre and more the left of the wall, make it look like he's walking on rather than walking off. I know you probably want the emphasis to be on the crown but I think it'll be there when it's closer to the left hand side. Maybe you could try lifting him up a bit more too so he's not so close to the bottom. Moving him about will help with the negative space and give the wall a less awkward feel to it.

"This wallpaper needs a lot of work before it will get accepted into the gallery.
I think the thing that struck me first was the colour of Dark's skin and the fact you can see the background through it. It look like you've just put the image on a multiply layer blend which I'm sorry to say really doesn't look good. As does the bright blue of his clothes on that layer blend. You really need to just stick him in there normally, if he doesn't look colourful enough on a normal layer mode then you would have to play around with the levels to get it to look better. I'm not sure what software you use but this is what I mean in Photoshop:
I think the extraction needs cleaning up too. That white outter glow you've got around Dark highlight that even more. There's a lot of jaggedy lines esspecially around Dark's wings. If the extraction is good then you won't need to have an outter glow around him :)
The background is ok. I like the idea of the smoke coming off of Dark's hand it makes it look like he's doing a spell or something. I feel the colours are a tad washed out but that may be due to how vivid the colours on Dark are at the moment. I like the ideas of the feathers too but maybe they could be done slightly better? Maybe black to make it look like they are coming off of Dark's wings, it would be good to try them at lots of random angles too. Make it look like he could be part of the background. A bit of intergration between character and background doesn't hurt at all :D If you're not sure what I mean here's an example from one of my walls:
I added the brush strokes and slatters to make it look like blood or like Aizen was excuding some form of energy. You could even try adding shadows and stuff in there.
Last but not least the text. I'm not sure you need it. It doesn't really look good where it is and most people know who Dark is. If you do want to keep it in there then maybe try and make it more subtle instead of taking the focus away from Dark. Oh and the thing on his cheek doesn't look right, especially as it covers his hair O_o;;
I hope I've not been to harsh and I hope you can improve from my advice. Good luck!!" View

A bit of intergration between character and background doesn't hurt at all :D If you're not sure what I mean here's an example from one of my walls:
http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/Cessa/item44773/
I added the brush strokes and slatters to make it look like blood or like Aizen was excuding some form of energy. You could even try adding shadows and stuff in there.
Last but not least the text. I'm not sure you need it. It doesn't really look good where it is and most people know who Dark is. If you do want to keep it in there then maybe try and make it more subtle instead of taking the focus away from Dark. Oh and the thing on his cheek doesn't look right, especially as it covers his hair O_o;;
I hope I've not been to harsh and I hope you can improve from my advice. Good luck!!"

"Wow this is beautiful. I love how everything flows and the blue background looks great too. I would have to agree with Kalico about the colours ie: them being tan and the background being black instead of how it is now. Apart from that though everything is perfect. Superb work xx"View
