After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I love the creativity that went into this. A complete re-vamp of the original scan which I adore seeing other people do. Simply brilliant. It seriously captures the Joker's personality but at the same time beautifully retains the original character. Making it as though the character dressed up for Halloween. The subtle textures you have in there are nice unless my eye is mistaken. Awesome work and thank you for bringing a character of chaos to life on Halloween. Also I love your work on the eyes. They actually look twisted and while looking longer seem very sinister. Bravo! Keep up the awesome work! +Fave
Your idea is very appealing, however I have a couple things I'd like to suggest.
- Blend the character with your background more, if you don't wish to do that. Make the background more grungier.
- You've got a nice circular feel on the composition. Add more life to it.
The overall feels good but it still feels a little boring. Get some kind of story in there. Anything. It could be a single word. Right now all I see is randomness that makes no sense. Pick a theme.
Couple ideas - destruction, flames (fire), something about the character.
The lighting is beautifully done. Quite jealous actually, since I'd like to make something along the color palette you've chosen >XD. Well executed but I'm funny about the wallpaper. Composition works really well but you've got an entire quarter of the wallpaper completely...out. Looks weird but in retrospect it is a "desktop" wallpaper (need room for icons). This is a really sweet wallpaper. Although you've heard that quite a bit already. What impresses me is the amount of time spent into everything. The vectors are wonderful, the poster touch awesome and hilarious, lighting is nice (a little weird in some spots but none the less great) and nice work on the pipe. Marvelous piece. The ship render is gorgeous and looks really sharp for a 3D render. Lighting and effects make this piece look like a class A wall. Thanks for adding a beautiful piece to the Xenosaga collection of wallpapers. Plus favorite. Been a long time since I saw something worth faving >XD.
The color layer looks good but a little to much. Recommend the opacity between 55-75%. This helps keep a good color on the characters since I find monochrome very...weak. When done right with the right concept it works, but in my opinion, not this wall. Monochrome tends to lose focal point unless you apply good contrast. By lowering the color layer, you bring their color into the picture and attract the viewers attention more.
Forgot to mention in my last post that you should subtract the text. Possibly incorporate it better instead of an afterthought in the right-hand corner. Text is tricky and requires a lot more creativity when combined with an illustration. Anyhow its coming along wonderfully. Best wishes.

A good technique to get more blend between characters with the background is to do a color layer on top set at either "Hue" or "Color." Then just play with the opacity. Other than that you've got another simple wallpaper.
Wallpaper is lovely. Love the colors and the concept is beautiful. Just one thing that sticks out way to much. Your lighting is wrong. Its sunset. The sun is behind her, not in front of her. If you are picturing indoor lighting this complicates the shadow casting even more.
My suggestion is to move the shadows in front of everything, this way the realism is improved drastically. The lighting on her could be improved by putting a "Satin" setting on her to emphasize the lighting even more. Play with the settings.
Fantastic wallpaper. Wish you well in completing it as best you can.
Its a nice clean wallpaper. Just one problem. You say its night but its nowhere near this concept. Everything is to bright for night. All the colors basically say the lighting is daytime. Check out the highlighted wallpaper on the right. Color scheme ought to be a little more along those lines but not entirely. Lighting and color theory is always the trickiest thing to learn with art.
On a side note I really love the simplicity of your wallpaper. Nice vector piece. Reminds me of some of the scenes you see at the credits. Nice work and thank you for sharing this with us.

Simply love the dramatic mood you've created here. Very eye catching. The rich and rustic orange colors suit very well and the selection of explosions is beautiful. I find this piece very pleasing despite its simplicity. I love that. Reminds me when I was very sleepy one summer day last summer and I decided to go to a park and take a nap right under a nice tree (seriously). Fell asleep right there in the warm air in the prickly grass for about an hour and half. Was very pleasant. Thanks for sharing and evoking a pleasant memory of mine.
I can't help but love your work. Your style has a surprising amount of appeal to me. I didn't quite get the "Port" feel, however I feel like its somewhere in Asia. Vietnam for instance. I too love the artwork for this awesome series. Admittedly I didn't like some parts but there were plenty of good parts as well. Fantastic idea about really bringing the scan to its "ROOTS" in the anime ;). The overall color and lighting is rather intoxicating. Just wish you made some normal resolutions. This is a nice concept as well as the mood of the wallpaper. I just have a few pointers for you regarding color.
The color temperature between the effects/background and the scan are way off. She feels warmer in a bad way against the rest of the wallpaper. In other terms she stands out to much. Try using a color overlay on her using the "Color" or "Hue" blend modes. I recommend a color similar to the rest of the wallpaper. This helps blend the temperature between scans and backgrounds.
Other then that you made a nice wallpaper. I like these kinds of concepts because its simple and stylistic. Keep up the good work ;).
