After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
HAHA awesome, as soon as I saw the title that's immediately what I thought of even though I had no idea that's actually what it would be! FMP:Fumoffu FTW!
"I find it fantastic in what you can do when you really push yourself. Limitations are the best way to truly help an individual improve, or at least it really can in some. It shows how well we work under pressure and how well we can think on the fly. I think that's something I've always admired about the 120 War and the members who participate in it.
What I also appreciate is how you paint everything and the simplistic creation of the snow. I personally think the buildings are by far the most stand out feature of this wallpaper and considering you had two hours to work with, they look stunning. I've had a great deal of difficulty with structures before in the past and I know it can be time consuming, so I can really appreciate what you've done here. The color choice for the building gives it a cozy feel to it and adjusting the lighting of the scan was a great idea as well. The original scan is rather bright and colorful. Personally, I wouldn't of even thought of using that scan for a background like this, but it works so well! I also appreciate your choice of lighting for the inside of the building, giving a warm and gentle glow to it. What I also really like is the snow, even though it's just dots and blurring, the different sizes and the right amount of blurring gives it that nice touch to it. All I can say is the way everything is done, it really makes me long for Christmas and I say job well done for that!
I have to say I've been rather impressed with what you can create in that timespan. I think it's a true test to an artist, or to anyone, to see what they can come up with. Not just you, but everyone that has been involved in the 120 War impresses me. This is a favorite for me. So glad that you used this scan too, it's the sex!" View

"What an adorable wallpaper.
I must say, I'm glad you vectored that scan because it is absolutely adorable. You certainly have improved significantly with your vector work from what I've noticed and I have to say it really shows with this latest entry. Of course, I'm rather impressed with anyone that can vector, because I can't.
As for the background, I really like what you've done with it. Yes, it is simple and there isn't much to it, but sometimes we can revel in the simplicity. It was, in my opinion, the best choice for the scan you chose to vector. I also like how this background is different than your previous works, which shows that you are working hard to push forward and try new things and that is a wonderful thing for an artist. The only thing that really stands out is the contrast of the sheets to the curtains and window. It's not by much, nor do I personally see it is a flaw, but it is something that is slightly noticeable.
What I do really like about this wall, however, is how nicely it all blends together. I have to agree with angel-voice in that it almost induces a sleep-ish feel onto it's viewer. That, in itself, should give you a good idea of how far you've come as a waller. It's peaceful and serene and so very relaxing. Heck, I think I might just go take a nap after commenting. Great job, Sashinka!" View

"I always felt horrible for never being able to comment on some of your, at the time, recent pieces. Hell, I haven't been able to comment on anything lately. I saw that this was highlighted and seeing that it was a piece from you, I had to check it out. My gosh, Tsu, just wow.
First off, I have to say replacing Suzaku (a truly WTH moment if there was one, though I can understand why it is a bit weird) with C.C. was a great choice. First, I want to comment on the choice to change from the anime style artwork to a more manga-Clamp-ish. That was a wonderful decision that turned out beautifully. I especially love the way you painted it. With most of the wallpapers I've viewed, only parts of them are painted. This is the first one I've ever had the pleasure of viewing that truly gives the effect of looking at a painting. The characters are just very well represented and really give off a strong "I'll always serve you" type aspect. That itself is the strongest part of the wallpaper, for it really shows the strong connection between Lelouche and C.C.
Your backgrounds have always been one of the strongest features of your work. Without a doubt, they are the most vibrant and detailed out of any I have ever viewed before. So creative and so unique, but most important of all they are so very fitting. Where can I start? How well crafted the room is, with the beautiful red curtains standing out. Maybe I'll talk a bit about that wonderful atmosphere you created. Or maybe I'll just talk about how perfectly every little detail comes together in complete harmony. I also love how you were able to give off that gorgeous lighting perspective. Most of all, I love the fine detail paid to everything. Maybe that's what I love the most about your backgrounds. Not just the atmosphere, but how finely detailed everything is. I can't even talk about this properly for fear of insulting you.
Just wow. I really can't describe in proper words how amazing this wall is to me. Maybe I could mutter out a few things, but in the end I can't began to. Everything just simply mends together so beautifully and it truly shows how talented you are. If this is rusty, then I can't began to imagine if you were more active as a waller. I really can't. I think my brain would explode if I tried." View

"First thing I'd recommend is either vectoring the scan, or trying to find a new one. The quality of the image you used is in fairly poor shape.
The football field is a great idea, but it just looks like he's just been placed on here. It doesn't look like he's necessarily standing on it. Perspectives are a very difficult thing to do, something which I can't begin to offer advice for.
I'd also do something about the white parts in the background. That way, it doesn't look like a football field in the middle of a space-time distortion.
It's got a great amount of potential, it just needs a lot of fine tuning and it'll get there!" View

"Definitely a unique art style, but AP is VERY picky with what they accept in terms of original art. FlameColonelRoy pretty much summed it up as well, things like this can be submitted in the forums, but this'll get rejected if you submit it to the gallery.
As previously mentioned, definitely check the FAQ out if you are considering submitted to the gallery.
As for this wallpaper, if you'd like to show the community, you could always submit it in the Artists Alley." View

"You know, I was just joking around about the whole RoD wall. You really didn't have to do that, especially with how hectic things have been for you lately. Also, it was only a year, but you know you were welcomed to take as long as you wanted.
Well, where the hell do I began? I've always loved what you do by re-cging the scan. It looks absolutely gorgeous as twice as good as it originally did. I've always been very partial to this image of Yomiko. Perhaps it's because it's the only one where she looks very serious and not like a goober.
The background, now this is where you can truly see how talented you are. Changing the paper in her hands as well as making a vortex of animation paper, each one being a different image of her, was a brilliant concept. Not to mention that I've noticed a few in there that are directly from the OVA itself. The shadowing is quiet well done too, on both the papers as well as her. You used the appropriate blurring as well for the closer objects to the viewer, which I felt was a very nice touch also. What really baffles me is that stone floor. That is simply stunning. To know that you created that solely from scratch shows that it must of been a painstaking work of labor, but it has most definitely paid off. I have to say that is by far some of the best stone I have ever had the pleasure of viewing and yes, that sounds as weird as I thought it would.
Simply put, I'm baffled. You have never ceased to amaze me with your talent as not only a waller, but as an artist. Each wallpaper you put out surpasses your previous and you continue to push yourself further. Everything fits together in absolutely harmony and is the labor of hard work and dedication. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that it's a favorite for me." View

"You know, it's funny you should make a wallpaper for the Fatal Frame series, being that I've just recently started to re-buy them. Next is Silent Hill, so many I should comment on that wallpaper too =P.
First off, I want to let you know of what a seamless job you did blending the body of the girl with Mio's head. Honestly, when I first looked at it, I thought it was an actual screen shot or artwork from the Fatal Frame 2 game, but after checking out your description afterwards, I found out what you did. That alone deserves praise. I've always loved the atmosphere in Crimson Butterfly and I think you did a superb job re-creating the scenery from the village. How you did each little piece from something different all to come together for the final shot is well crafted and has a very lush look to it. The lighting is what really gets me and truly gives it that 'Fatal Frame' look. The well lit lantern and butterfly help illuminate an otherwise dark and rather creepy background, giving only enough to see in a small radius in front of the individual.
If I had a complaint, it would be that Mio looks a bit doll like, but than again she did in the game and with how she was as it progressed, it fits perfectly. Hands down this is a very well done background and I'm really glad to see someone do a beautiful wallpaper of one of my all time favorite survival horror titles. A definite favorite." View

Wtf Bern, where is her tattoo!!
I think what I love the best is her facial expression. She's got that look of someone who is like "You know, I'm out in a snow storm and I'm freezing, but who cares!" type look. Probably why she's only wearing a scarf along with her normal outfit outside. More power to her! I think I'll do something like that as well!
First off, wow, where do I began? How do I even began to how much progress you've made as a waller. Let's start off with the painting. I'm glad to see that you've started to take that route. I'm hoping that we'll see someone that surpass Candy-chan in painting and I can certainly say that you are certainly on your way climbing up that ladder. I have to say what draws me in the most are the mountains. I've found myself get lost just simply looking at them twice now. They are beautifully done and really give me the feeling that I'm actually out there with her, which I don't need mind you! I'm cold enough as is! Being as inexperienced as I am, I can't tell too much with the scan, but I can tell you did a good job with it as well. Touche!
I have to strongly disagree with AlanSmithLover on both the choice of scan as well as the blurriness. First, I can't see anything that is any way blurry at all @~-J@. Second, I find it to be rather fitting. Note her facial expression and the scarf. She doesn't care. Second, where I live it's very common to see people outside wearing shorts and a shirt. It's adapting to the climate.
Bravo Bern! I'm sorry I haven't kept up with your walls, but I'm so proud of you. I can't express that enough, or how jealous I am of your talent. A favorite for me!" View

"Deto15, you win alone for just simply using a SpineShank song.
Where to began? Jeeze, I can't even find a decent place so I'll start from the top. First off this is a fantastic vector. What really stands out to me is the beautiful ribbon and her eyes. That is a seriously lovely shade of red. This is probably your best vector too, IMO. I have to agree as well, it's a fantastic scan and I love how great of a job you did.
Second is the background. I'm not too sure what inspired the web, but I love it. Personally, I think it's perfect as is. I love the design of it as well as the floral design in the background. That is the one thing that truly stands out to me the most and probably my favorite feature of this wall is it's uniqueness. The color choices you went with as well are very pleasant to the eyes and very relaxing as well. Even with the crimson red tone, it still fits in very nicely. I've mentioned a few times before, but I absolutely hate text in walls. Yet, this wall pulls it off very nicely. I have to say it looks rather nice. You captured the key parts of the song and did a great job of placing them.
Honestly, this is probably one of the best walls you have ever done. The way everything fits together, the color choices made as well as the design and the scan. Everything just comes together so nicely that it brings a tear to my eye. I haven't commented on a wall in over half a year, but this wall is so good that I can't help but to break that. A favorite for me. Do more walls to metal songs!" View

"The text is the only thing that doesn't seem to fit the wall that well. Personally, this is the type of wall that would do wonders being textless. I'm sure if you looked around a bit more, there might be one more fitting, but with the style you're going with I'd try giving textless a try. Otherwise it's pretty decent!" View

"To be honest, for what it is I really like this.
First off, I've never watched Code Geass, but I am a big bunny outfit fan =3. I would of spend a bit more time on the vector, but with what you did it's pretty good. One of the biggest things I like about it are the colors. I find them to be rather fitting and work quite nicely with the scan as well. I'm also a huge fan of the texture too. Can't place on my finger what it reminds me of, but it strikes a familiar chord.
One thing I would definitely try to work on in the future are more resolutions. I love this wall, but since I use widescreen I'm a bit out of luck. One other thing that gets me as well is the text. The 'Don't be the bunny' isn't too bad, but the rest doesn't fit at all with the wallpaper so I'd definitely root for a textless version sometime in the future. Overall, you did a fantastic job. Not much to it, but it doesn't need much to be great. A favorite for me." View

"First off, stop making such sexy wallpapers :_: You are far too good. Gimme some of that talent =3.
Alright, since I wasn't able to comment on your previous wallpaper due to a lack of being able to express how great it was in words, this one is a bit..no, it's not easier. I just didn't want to procrastinate. First off I applaud you for taking a scan that was being rather frequently used and spicing it up a bit. I also like the change in C.C's wardrobe since it spices up the normal white everything. I really like your vector work as well and I think you did an excellent job as well on it. Pssh, lots of mistakes. It looks darn good to me.
Background, oh gosh the background. Holy toledo, it is gorgeous. A sunset background is probably one of the easiest ways to win me over and considering how well done everything is as well. I like the bench, which has a very unique look to it by the way. I love the buildings, I love the lighting and the shadowing. I also love the leaves on the trees. You are truly an artist, through and through. It has such a high level of detail to it, I can't help but to be captivated. This is why I started commenting on wallpapers half a decade ago and why I throw my hand in the attempt to wall. I absolutely love this wallpaper, plain and simple. A favorite for me." View

"Glad to see it got accepted! Really, that's terrific!
I've still got the same complaints as I mentioned in Session Zero. Haruhi seems rather flat chested and the nudity confuses me too. Though, it's still a rather well done vector of her.
As for the background itself, it's more of a rock/punk rock type background as oppose to punk. I do agree about how the skulls don't fit in that well with the background and the parental advisory seems kinda random as well. Otherwise, I really like the background.
Personally, I think the wall could of used a bit more work before submission. However, that's my opinion. I still think you did a fantastic job and the wall really came a long way from where it was originally. Great work!" View

Well, here it is. My extremely long overdue comment *pays late fees* Biggest thing I can't stress enough is how good you've gotten at walling. You have really improved your vectoring as well. Compared to the original scan, you did a fantastic job. It looks like almost a completely new wall with how much work you've done to it. Really.

"I can't express enough how glad I am to see that you were able to finish the wall. I just knew it would turn out into something special and it looks like I was right.
I've kept up with this wall, despite not posting in the thread after my initial post. I watched you progress and I must say you are unbelievably talented. Considering what was originally something that had a great deal of potential, to transforming it so to such a work of art. The stained glass is what really stands out the most in my mind. It is, hands down the most gorgeous piece on this wall. Coming in at a close second is the throne as well as the brick. You really did a fantastic job fixing both of them up and making them look great. The lighting is also a huge improvement and I'm glad you stuck with the scan as well. I mentioned before, but I'll say it again. I love the perspective of it. Everything is just absolutely outstanding.
I can't say it enough, I love this wall. As I said in the beginning, I knew this was going to be big. I just didn't know it was going to be this amazing. I really cannot wait to see what you'll do next. After something like this, I'm really excited to see what you can do." View
"First off, you get major props for using a Killswitch Engage song. I've always liked that version that you liked to. It's more melodic singing than the original. Yet even more props for using the scan that you did. Those both alone deserve the fav, but I'll go into a bit more detail =D.
First off, you did an outstanding job with the wall in it's entirety. I think what really gets to me the most is what you've done with the scan. The color alterations are really nicely done, but what I love the most is the lifeless look in her eyes. The change of her kimono too is welcomed as well, since it is much more appealing to the background.
As for the background, I like it. Quite a bit at that. The blood fits into the background rather nicely. The surface is rather well done and the choice of color, once again, is most welcomed. Overall, it's quit easy on the eyes. As for the text, I'm on the fence for that. I don't dislike it, but I don't like it either. Still, it does work rather nice with the wall.
Overall, what can I say? You did an outstanding job. Great work!" View

"What's this? A new desktop for me? You shouldn't have .
Even though you've told me the series isn't that good, from what I've seen of the images and now this wallpaper has convinced me to watch it. It's always nice being able to see your work in progress and seeing it get to how great it does. Pardon me for repeating myself from what I said easiler too.
Normally, I'm not fond of text and generally text in the background. I can say that this is the first wall I've ever liked that has used text like that. I was rather mixed before, but after putting this wall on my desktop, I really like how it works out. The colors and the lighting work quite well too, along with the background pattern. As always, you did a fantastic job vectoring the scan and it looks amazing. The stars, wings and the clouds around the two character were also a nice additional touch as well. All in all, everything comes together nicely to form a super cute wallpaper.
It's funny. Generally, I've never liked walls that do similar things to what you've done here, but just everything itself looks so great, I can't deny it. I love it =3. You did a fantastic job, Kalico!
"I do think you have a great concept..but even though you don't mean to go after a certain style someone uses, the wallpaper speaks that you do.
Honestly, I'd recommend not doing the wall at all. No, it's not bad to express yourself, but it isn't necessarily best when your work is attacking the decisions of others. Granted, that isn't the intent, but it still comes across as such at the end of the day.
On a different note, abstract will probably phase out. Sorta like how vectors were the crazy for a few years, but now abstract is making a comeback. Give it a bit of time and it'll probably go to scenic or something else =P. " View
skirts are really ugly, don't you think?

"
I, myself, absolutely adore skirts. Though, that's another story for another time. Perhaps a forum topic for that would do!
One thing I really wish you would of done, since you made such a lengthy discussion about skirts, was include an actual description to the wallpaper. I have no idea what exactly you've done or worked with, so I'm going to go under a complete assumption with this comment. I really like the scan of Asuka and Rei you decided to go with and I'm also really digging the background too. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the background colors. It doesn't look bad, but the color scheme doesn't fit the best, in my opinion. The flower design is a bit random, but I like it.
Overall, not too bad. Minus a few changes, it's still a very well done wallpaper. On a note though, I'd recommend including a description with your wall next time. The argument isn't exactly un-necessary (though, I'd personally post something like that in the forums, not with a wallpaper), but I have no idea what you've done with this wall since that's all you did." "You highly doubt the power of a great wallpaper with an ecchi scan in it!
On a serious note though, why wouldn't anyone like it? Considering what you've done for the background, I find it hard to believe that anyone would hate it, to be honest. The background that you've made is simply outstanding and by far outshines the ecchiness of the scan. I have to say I've seen quite a few buildings and structures created before, but the ones that you made are simply top notch. I think what gets to me the most is simply the level of detail you put into everything. I'm also really digging the overcast sky as well, it's quite fitting for the entire wallpaper. Add in the fact that you did a very lovely job vectoring the scan and you've got a gorgeous wallpaper.
Seriously, I can't stress enough how much I love what you created. You really outdid yourself and honestly, I find that a lot of people will love this wall for that. Or at least they should and not for the fact that it's Ikkitousen. Nonetheless, excellent work! This is a favorite for me. " View

"This is such a cute wallpaper! Seriously, so adorable < 3.
I don't think I could ever stress this enough. I absolutely adore this wallpaper. Everything about it. From the cute scan to the very nicely designed background to even the text, it's all cute. The scan you chose is absolutely adorable and as I stated before I really like the design you came up with for the background as well.
If there were only two things I'd like to see the wall without, it would be the sparkles as well as the stock image overlaping. Of course, as it is now, it's not bad, not in the least. I just wouldn't mind seeing an alternate version. I'm a sucker for simplistic walls, so this wall is already a fav for me as is.

I'd also do something about the white parts in the background. That way, it doesn't look like a football field in the middle of a space-time distortion.
It's got a great amount of potential, it just needs a lot of fine tuning and it'll get there!"

As for this wallpaper, if you'd like to show the community, you could always submit it in the Artists Alley."

Paper Kills Rock

"You know, I was just joking around about the whole RoD wall. You really didn't have to do that, especially with how hectic things have been for you lately. Also, it was only a year, but you know you were welcomed to take as long as you wanted.Well, where the hell do I began?
I'm sure I don't need to tell you that it's a favorite for me."

"You know, it's funny you should make a wallpaper for the Fatal Frame series, being that I've just recently started to re-buy them. Next is Silent Hill, so many I should comment on that wallpaper too =P.First off, I want to let you know of what a seamless job you did blending the body of the girl with Mio's head.
A definite favorite."

"Wtf Bern, where is her tattoo!!
A favorite for me!"

"Deto15, you win alone for just simply using a SpineShank song.Where to began?
Do more walls to metal songs!"

"The text is the only thing that doesn't seem to fit the wall that well. Personally, this is the type of wall that would do wonders being textless. I'm sure if you looked around a bit more, there might be one more fitting, but with the style you're going with I'd try giving textless a try. Otherwise it's pretty decent!"View
Don't be the bunny
1 year 5 months ago
"To be honest, for what it is I really like this.First off, I've never watched Code Geass, but I am a big bunny outfit fan =3.
A favorite for me."

"First off, stop making such sexy wallpapers :_: You are far too good. Gimme some of that talent =3.Alright, since I wasn't able to comment on your previous wallpaper due to a lack of being able to express how great it was in words, this one is a bit..no, it's not easier.
A favorite for me."

"Glad to see it got accepted! Really, that's terrific!I've still got the same complaints as I mentioned in Session Zero.
Great work!"

":_: Far too kind. Making such a great wall for us? Really, that's way too nice of you.Well, here it is. My extremely long overdue comment *pays late fees* Biggest thing I can't stress enough is how good you've gotten at walling. You have really improved your vectoring as well. Compared to the original scan, you did a fantastic job. It looks like almost a completely new wall with how much work you've done to it. Really.
As always, an excellent job and I still look very forward to your work, even if I don't have the time to comment on it like I use to. A favorite for me!"

"I can't express enough how glad I am to see that you were able to finish the wall. I just knew it would turn out into something special and it looks like I was right.I've kept up with this wall, despite not posting in the thread after my initial post.
After something like this, I'm really excited to see what you can do."

"First off, you get major props for using a Killswitch Engage song. I've always liked that version that you liked to. It's more melodic singing than the original. Yet even more props for using the scan that you did. Those both alone deserve the fav, but I'll go into a bit more detail =D.First off, you did an outstanding job with the wall in it's entirety.
Great work!"

"Gah, I've never been a fan of overly hormonal women who have violent mood swings.Alas, I have to agree with the others. If you wanted to focus on a scan of Naru abusing Keitaro, then I'd go for that, but as is, this wouldn't be accept into the gallery, since it's just a bunch of screenshots. "

"What's this? A new desktop for me? You shouldn't haveEven though you've told me the series isn't that good, from what I've seen of the images and now this wallpaper has convinced me to watch it.
Psst, you don't whine =P"

Kon Stop The Abstract

"I do think you have a great concept..but even though you don't mean to go after a certain style someone uses, the wallpaper speaks that you do.Honestly, I'd recommend not doing the wall at all.

skirts are really ugly, don't you think?
1 year 8 months ago
"I, myself, absolutely adore skirts.
The argument isn't exactly un-necessary (though, I'd personally post something like that in the forums, not with a wallpaper), but I have no idea what you've done with this wall since that's all you did."

"You highly doubt the power of a great wallpaper with an ecchi scan in it!On a serious note though, why wouldn't anyone like it?

"Absurd, people should love it because it IS GateKeepers 21! Not because it doesn't have big boobs! Meh, I guess certain things in life won't change and I suppose that sex appeal is one.I know that I faved this way back when it was on MT..or at least I KNOW I've seen it there before. Hands down on the great job of making the Gate. I was always fond of the whole gate ability, so it's nice to see a wallpaper featuring such. The fence is absolutely amazing, if I do say so myself and a great choice in stock photo also. It's nice to also see some Ayane love as well.
Alas, if it was widescreen, I'd have myself a new desktop. Regardless, it's a favorite."

"This is such a cute wallpaper! Seriously, so adorable < 3.I don't think I could ever stress this enough.
On the whole, you did a fantastic job and it really is a shame that you might not be on as much. I do, however, hope this doesn't mean we won't see any walls from you anymore =(. "
