"Oh wow, this is one nice silhouette wallpaper! Very well done and matches perfectly with the sky background. Only one criticism I can see when looking at the wallpaper is that around the middle there is a small white line which seems to go through the wallpaper. I don't know whether that is just me or it is actually there but I hope it helps :)

"Wow, I love this design - it really stands out and catches your eye. Only one criticism I can see is that of the brushes just behind the character. They are quite pixelated and fuzzy, I take it they were small brushes and you enlarged them? Try to find bigger brushes because small brushes enlarged does not stand out very well and gives the overall wallpaper a dodgy feel.

It's awesome so far, just a little touches here and there and I reckon you could submit it :D "

"You've got a nice idea going here Clime but it looks like the wallpaper is TOO simple. You could try maybe to do a reflection of the characters in the shade of each colour that you have represented for them (Kind of like a water reflection in that shade of colour coming from the text in the middle).

I like the idea you have come up with so far, just add a little more to make it less simple (I know your going for a simple wall but it is, as I said before, a little too simple, there is simply not enough to really call it a wallpaper)

All and all good work, keep at it and this should turn out to be a fine wall :D"

"Ugh, I am at a stand still here people. I keep changing, adding and deleting things but something is just not right with this wallpaper. Maybe it is the corners, maybe it is my pure lack of creativity and the fact that most of this wallpaper is just downloaded brushes inserted onto it with added filters -_-*

My willingness to continue if fading because I am losing hope in myself that I will not be able to create anything really worth wild because I am simply void of creativity and imagination - when I create wallpapers there just seems to be a block between myself and my creativity and I end up just starting at the screen not really knowing what to do simply because I cannot think of anything. Even if I have the general concept in my mind I still cease to think HOW I could achieve it.

*sigh* Sorry for the wall of text. I think I might leave Photoshop for a bit because I am at a standstill and I am just going round in circles not knowing what to do or add (I mean, all it is is a coloured background with the scan inserted and added brushes + filters. Do I really deserve to call this my own wallpaper when 3/4 of it is brushes and filters?)"

"The text does not work well behind the character, I tried it and it just seems obscured and out of place. I think it does not look TOO bad in the bottom left hand corner but then again that is my opinion and ultimately it is the community who decides but there is not really any other place to put it :S

"Well I cannot vector yet so I guess I cannot change that but I am glad you find my skills have improved (4th day of using Adobe Photoshop CS3 by the way!) - as for the resolution: My monitor is 1280 x 1024 but from now on I will upload in the latter (1280 x 960) for the community and if possible start off with largest accepted resolution first.

As for the background and the colours, could you suggest a way I could go about doing that? Would I just use different brush techniques to eventually build up a background that has similar colours as the main character does?

I was trying to keep it black and whitish with her being the only colourful thing but I will try and add more colours if you think it will look better. When you say text, do you just mean like words, the anime logo or something else?"

I know realise my mistakes, and I shall learn from them (Too much going on, different character shots [One close up, one far away], colours not blending, too complicated background etc.). "I was not trying to convey much, other than she is stuck in between her human side and her Witchblade form side (Thus her as a human on the left and demon-type form on the right with a silhouette of her in her full Witchblade form reaching out) [Also - thus the title "Torn"]. This wallpaper was mainly a test too - to see if I could actually create a wallpaper that I could see myself using.

I do not know how I can convey it any better - mind giving me a suggestion?

"Love the original anime art, very well done. Although it is not my type of wallpaper [Too colourful for my liking] it still is very impressive - you can really see the amount of effort and work you put into it.

Strange concept [People flying through the air, and the male filming the females breasts lol] but it works well and has a very good comedic feel to it - keep up the superb work!"

"Wow, very impressive! There is such a lack of Rosario + Vampire wallpaper but this one certainly deserves a place in the section.

Although it is quite simple, it is very effective and the use of the [Background] shapes and soft colours really give it a good effect. The only thing I do not like about this background is the flowers, they just seem sort of out of place but that is my personal opinion hehe.

All in all, good wallpaper - good work!"

"It seems all you did was put four screenshots together (One of which is quite blurred...I do not know whether that was intentional or it is just a bad picture) and put text in the middle. Try putting a little bit more effort like adding more effects (Not so experienced in that area so I cannot really tell you what to add) or blending the images together a bit like Kaizor said."
