As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Not exactly clean. Against the purple background, you can see that the character has a whitish outline. As for the scarf, you can see residue of the original scan background on it. And is that area of white on it an unextracted part? Character:

There's some extraction problems on your character. You can see the white outlines whenever the background is dark.
Character is floating on air. Why not make him stand on the symbols and place him within the column of light. And the aura glow in the surrounding areas need to cover a larger area. Something like the below.

If you look closely, you can see that there are anti-aliasing effects on some of the brush shapes near the red silhouette. Some of the shapes are rather blurry too. My recommendation is to trace over the poor quality shapes to improve on the visual crispness.

The outline is rather blurry. Recommendation? Do a trace. However, I am on the opinion that it is more preferable to have an actual character rather than a red silhouette but each to his own judgment/preference in the end.

One big problem that drags down the wallpaper would be those lines (textures?) on Ed's left arm and his hair as well as subtly appearing in the background. I'm assuming that this is an intentional thing but the wallpaper would be way much better without the textures. Because it would look cleaner.

Is this really a vector? It looks more like a painting from a master artist (to say a professional artist would be an understatement for such a great work) right down to the fine strands of hair. Truly a sharp eye for details, you have. If this is really a vector, my respects to you for making a vector work look so distinctively a class above all the mainstream vector walls in the cyberworld as well as making a vector look so not like a vector.
