This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Cagali catches my eye first, followed up by the backround which is wonderfully done.
Things to improve on: Try to sharpen up Kira, Athrun, and Lacus. Major thing, something just doesn't sit right with Kira. As stated above by someone else he is slight too dark, and his facial features just don't quite add up, amost looks like he's a werewolf =p.

Like the wallpaper, the scan of Lacus looks more like what she looked like in Gundam SEED." View

More of a character wallpaper [very nice pose btw], with the gundam as a basic foreground.
"I think the overall scheme of the wallpaper is great. The giant fireball in the sky, isn't really a fireball. If you watch(watched) GSD, you'd realize that is Junius 7 [correct me if I'm wrong]. The peaceful landscape represents how the Earth was prior to Junius 7 fragmenting and crashing into Earth. The song "Fields of Hope" a very peaceful song, was being sung while massive fragments slammed into Earth leveling cities and sending massive tidal waves all over the Earth.
The lighting is just the massive satellite interacting with Earth's atm causing friction, hence fire, which I don't think would reflect that far down onto the Earth surface at the altitude it's at, btw nice job with the depth scale of the wallpaper.
The scenery is great, represents each one of the three characters involved in the crashing of Junius 7, and them standing in a field [Fields of Hope song =p]
The wallpaper's artist is doing a great job at creating a unique 3 series wallpaper, at a very high quality.
Love the atmosphere of the wallpaper, really suits the series. Excellent scan of Ryoko and tenchi [classic experssion for tenchi].

"One word to describe this wallpaper, Sexy. Probally the sexiest image/pose I've seen of Meer. The backround gave me the effect of a cross between Rome and Lord of the Rings.
The pink/blue tones used for the sky is a nice change from the typical black star field night sky.
"After the changes made, the wallpaper really has come together. Kira's expression, which is usually anything but anger, is what I like in this wallpaper.
The gray tones work well for the overall concept, wouldn't want too many bright features, but you handled the dispersion well.
"This screams original. First high quality wallpaper I've seen of Strike Rogue, which was a pretty significant MS in the GS and GSD line.
The weapondry really stands out for this wallpaper, espscially the 6-barrel chain gun [heavy arms?!]. The offset pink colors work well for the theme, and nice artistic lil flare with the pink flower.
"You know, I love this wallpaper. There's always a certain flare pairing up great friends, or friends who turn to fight eachother only to become friends again in the end. It depicts a struggle, and an everlasting friendship.
The fall leaves were a nice touch, adding more nostalgia to the wallpaper. Oh the road these two will walk either together or alone..[Gundam SEED DESTINY].
The entire "angle" the wallpaper is at gives a more "Heavanly" appreance. Kira's scan is perfectly done, and his texture matches perfectly with the backround.
The windmill is something not yet seen being used, and adds a nice personal flare to the wallpaper, which fits into the entire open field [fields of hope =p] setup.
Good artistic taste in NOT added stars all over the night sky, it would have cluttered the image and introduce a dividing line between lower/upper half of the wallpaper.
Can't wait for the next 2 of Athrun and Lacus, [What about Shinn?! Burn the fields!]
What makes the wallpaper is the backround, really nice work on it. Simple character pose, simple black layout, then very well thought abstract color expolsion. If fire was blue and purple (well it can be blue =p) that's what it would look like, you get the point =p.
