This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Frost-and-Fire's Comments

To The Darkness

5 months 2 weeks ago

"Yay, this is the first time I've been on the first page of comments!(lol) Anyways, I really like the background that both of you took and modified from cybil- it fits perfectly. I'm also glad that decided to make it darker. Everything just seems to fit :)
A thought: you could turn this into a reflective wallpaper by inserting a quote... although I'm not sure if that would be plausible-it already stands well as is..."

My Christmas's Wish

"I also really liked this wallpaper as well. I used it as the background for a Christmas card I sent a friend (he has an account on this site :)
I think both of you do an excellent job capturing the whole feel of Christmas. I also really liked the background with the snow, moon, etc."

"I love background you made on the left hand side of the picture. The mountains, the mist, the lighting (esp. the arc of light), the colors, the birds, the script (wonderful script design- love the colors), as well the color choices- everything is perfect. :)
My only criticism (and it is a minor one) lies with the flowers in the center. I can't quite put my finger on it (possibly the color choice?), but something seems to be a little off. Compared to the flowers on the left (which are softer/lighter and blend with the background a little better), they seem to be a little out of place... These are my thoughts at least...I don't know helpful they'll be....
Beautiful wall- Great job! ^^"

I Burn for You

9 months 4 weeks ago

"I think Selennna gave you some excellent advice...I like the concept but something seems to be missing from the picture. I'll throw out a couple of the thoughts that come to my mind. I think the main problem is coloring and contrast...the fire behind Inuyasha and Kagome is very bright, while by comparison- Kagome and Inuyasha (color wise) appear kinda dull in front of it...Assuming that you want them to be the focus of the wall (and the fire to accentuate them/their relationship) you will have to edit them so that they stand out more (make them more interesting/appealing to the viewer). I think a warm/glow effect (or something of that nature) would be nice around Kagome and Inuyasha. A good example of this is: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/School-Rumble/item58875/
See how he creates a warm glow in/around both characters?
Another thing is that there seems to be a little pixelation, zooming in and using a smudge tool could help.
Last thought: It seems like the border needs a little extra, maybe you could merge the flames into the surrounding black border instead of having it cut straight off.

Concluding remarks:
I know that was a lot but, I thought the more I threw out there...the more likely you'll find something helpful. So hopefully there is something in there that might be of assistance ^^
I don't know what photo-editing software you use- but I use a combination of Picasa2 and GIMP (both are free)...so I don't know how much I can actually help you with the technical side of color adjustment etc. but feel free to ask anyway :)
Really like the concept, and good luck ^^"

"I'm just pointing this out but....it seems that this is someone elses work...I've seen this same wall-paper on: http://www.glitter-graphics.com/graphics/92045
And while there is the extra editing you have done, it has to be all your original work (with the exception of the scans- in which case you credit your source and integrate it into your wall)... If I'm wrong you have my apologies; but it looks like you pulled this off the net and edited it....
In summary: it's nice, but you'll have to redo it- needs to be original work."

"Very nice job with the clouds, I also like the design behind his name...something feels like it's missing in the left of the picture...this is just a thought but what if you took off the fur on Sesshomaru's shoulder and replaced it with the blue background that fills the rest of the picture...I think it would create a cool effect and help to balance it out more... however I realize that my suggestion may not be the most practical where the scan is concerned... those are my thoughts at least :)"

"Nice choice of colors, I like how you created a watercolor effect in the background. The grass, tree, butterfly (which btw is a nice one) , ect. are well spaced. I also like how you kept the picture from being too "busy". You also did a wonderful job incorporating the title and caption (nice caption); it fits the mood perfectly- the background's lite color also supports the message of the title as well. "

"Very nice Picture. It (as has been said before) is a very simple/ clean picture- There is very little "noise" in the background that detracts from the focus of the picture. I really like the choice of the color blue for the background bars and shadowing as well. It reminds me of a nice summer day near the ocean and the beach. You also do a good job of capturing her innocence in this picture- between her posture, dress, expression, etc.
A very nice wallpaper indeed :)"

"I really like this picture of Ichigo. Most pictures rarely seem to really capture (for lack of a better word choice) the "real" Ichigo. You really seem to have created an excellent mood/ atmosphere in this picture. You can feel its warmth in direct contrast to the winter that fills it. A truly wonderful picture of Rukia and Ichigo together; very original. Nice job
As a very small side note:
My only complaint is with Rukia's "proportions"
But as stated before:Excellent job! :)"

Rukia

"I really enjoyed this wallpaper. I like how you tried to maintain its simplicity while (by using the blue around Rukia) accentuating her as the focus of the picture. You also balanced the picture out by putting the script with the Halo and the butterflys on the left. The script on the left is nicely done and the texture of the light blue you used throughout the picture gives it the feeling of fluid movement. Nice job :)"
