The amount of patience, hard work and an eye for quality is what defines this wallpaper. Character is painstakingly vectored off a real life toy image with references to screenshots. Despite the difficulty level, ~pvc24 still manages to nicely depict the image in anime fashion and yet able to find the mental strength to come up with a background composition that is both aptly fun and pleasant in atmosphere.

Try using a better stock image... or maybe try repainting this one so it's more watercoloured. It'd work really well with the sky colours and the style might mesh better with the clean outlines of Sora's silhouette. The lens flare if you really want to keep it, should be recoloured to a monochrome white. Best way to do this is to create a lens flare on a black layer then set the blend mode to screen, play with Hue/Saturation if necessary. I don't recommend ever using default Photoshop filters for lens flares when there are plugins like KPT or Flaming Pear available. It should be moved further down so it's ever so slightly above the horizon, behind the grass rather than just above it.
Finally, there's this horizontal black bar that seems to stand out, especially at the lower left corner. Use some grass brushes and build up the density to hide it better.
One other thing; for maximal impact, try editing out those patches of sky that are grey-white - go for 100% cloud cover, especially those white patches just under the text. Use the clone tool or something... then make your text pure white against the sky backdrop. It'll look much better that way, trust me ;P" View

The minimalism, the lens flares with the embossed look to the red typography makes the whole thing look amateurish. I would vector trace and really up the contrast on Levi so it looks like she's emerging from the darkness, guns smoking. The alternative would be to play with some sort of motion blur and motion arc lines on her guns and arms, so it looks like she's just swung them across her body." View

"I love the subtle realism in this wall as well, especially the reflection on the floor. I'm guessing the mottled effect on the tree is supposed to be because of the glass in the doors. What would've been perfect is if there was that intense brightness in the sky with a bit of sunlight spilling in through the windows that you often see when the sun is low in the sky. A bit cliché I know, but it would have enhanced that mood you've so nicely set up here. This wall wins because anyone who sees it might even think Haruhi is just another run of the mill harem romance!" View
