This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"Not bad, it's striking because of the contrast. How come you didn't finish off the grid properly on the sides? :P" View

"Great pose, love the composition. Looks almost photorealistic, apart from the way the blood spatter doesn't deform to account for the curvature of the scroll! Still well worth a favourite :P" View

"I guess you didn't need my input before submitting :P It's great as it is colours-wise, with good use of contrast and composition. I don't think I can see much to pick at." View

"The detail in the thick clouds is pretty stunning. As a wall it's minimal but very striking. I would have liked to have seen a little more detail and definition in the interface between rocky outcrops and sky across the width of the wall, not just in the middle focal area :P" View

"Eureka has a proper hairstyle :D You've created a good reproduction of the scenery around Bellforest, just to me the grass appears a little too green for my liking. Otherwise it's another fine E7 wall :P" View

"Pretty good. I don't think I've seen that artwork used in an NGE wall before. It ties together nicely with the use of colour and the mist is painted in realistically. What detracts is the embossed feel to the moon and the low quality appearance of the green-grey sky D:" View

"Nice concept. The colours work well with the original illustration, but it looks like you didn't finish off the treeline and the spatter of white looks less than realistic as stars. Still a nice wall though." View
"Nice attempt indeed. I really think it's spoiled by the two eyes, which although nicely worked into the wall, detract from the mood and focus of a wolf against the night sky with the moon and ethereal effects." View

"Nice texturing and use of muted colours. The vector style works well but the trees are a bit on the dense side. You should be able to see more of the building through gaps between the branches ;P" View

"Yeah this has come out really well. I have to say the dark foreboding feeling comes across really strongly. Did you forget to put fog over the field to the right of the tree?" View

"Well composed wall. The colour contrast is balanced well and it looks good on my desk :D The only thing is some of the scratchy outlines on the left look have squared tips, it disturbs the flow of her hair in an abstract way. I have to say the typography block is integrated nicely into the style and for once I don't mind seeing text in the middle of a wall." View
"I love the strong lighting on this, and the narrow depth of field. Nice one." View

"Well it looks a bit like a crayon and wax illustration, something different to the CG and vector we usually see in anime artwork. I like the open expanse of sky and its blue that complements the sea down below... it's a nicely made wall in the end." View

"I love seeing these orange-pink skies, they look so beautiful :0 The way you used the filters on the reflection in the water and the cloudwork round this off into a well-made wall. There are a few minor points, like the odd sharpness of the light beams and the patchiness of the grass, but otherwise I can see you've got this really well done :P" View
