After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Just in case you don't know, Ongaku has made a similar wallpaper (http://www.kakyoku.org/walls/vk.php) using the same scan. I would suggest doing some major re-planning so that you aren't accused of plagiarism!"

Peaceful Kira~~

2 years 7 months ago

"Hm, pretty decent for a first wall. As others have already pointed out, though, Kira's wintery outfit doesn't appear suitable against a tropical background. Try another background, or another scan of Kira. You can find a lot of gorgeous winter stock photos on Boyis...

For blending, I would firstly suggest toning down the saturation on Kira. If you have gaussian blur->overlay layers or something similar, tone down their opacity. Next, you should try to do some brushing and texturing over BOTH Kira and the background, set to different layer filters, to achieve a more similar atmosphere.

Good luck!"

"Oh wow, I see you've made some pretty hefty changes... and I love them! <3 emoticon The dustiness really places the focus on the first scene, and I love the way you colored the manga scenes. Still in awe of the enormous effort that must have gone into this!

Adding to my faves. ~kyaaa"

Shinshi Doumei Cross-Ushio

2 years 7 months ago

"I think the very sparkly, dreamy atmosphere is very pretty, and nicely done. <3 emoticon However, it might be nice if you accentuated the scan of Ushio a little more. Maybe you can try duplicating the Ushio layer, gaussian blurring it and then setting it to multiply/overlay, whichever works best. A slightly darker coloring amidst the sparkly dreaminess might better suit Ushio's obsessive personality, especially because of the quote you chose to put on your wall.

Personally, I would reposition the text as well. It might look better concentrated on the (vertically speaking) middle of the wall, using glow/dropshadow/font/filters to accentuate the main title text "Shinshi Doumei Cross" (though a less generic title, or "Ushio" might also be better) and some font that looks good concentrated (my personal favorite is Garamond) for Ushio's quote.

Really looking forward to the result."

"The scan has some jaggy lines, and so does the sunflower, but other than that, wow! I really love the way you manipulated and placed the text in this piece, and the clouds, rain, grass all make for a really beautiful background. You did a really great job, and I think you really did "The Notebook" justice. :)"

Fly -- Towards an Unending Future

"Oh wow. I really love the seamlessness between the clouds and the birds and the complete "togetherness" of the wall in general. I think you did a really awesome job on the background, especially amazing since this was your first! The birds and clouds don't look too photo-realistic so they don't clash with the foreground Tori. I like the Japanese, too - the text gives this sort of nice, polishing effect. ^^""

"*_* *Awe and wonder*
The photomanip is absolutely amazing - the whole wall feels so real and at the same time very together. I think the antique-sort of feel gives off this really melanchology and nostalgic feeling, which I love to death.
*Still in awe.* +fav"

"Wow. I really love the varying tints and hues in the background, which create a very enchanted, magical atmosphere. The white flowers are blended perfectly, and I love how the moon is opal-like, very iridescent. It has a very calm, serene but yet lonely feeling. Nice choice of butterfly, too. :)

A very lovely wallpaper. I look forward to seeing more of your work! Good job!"

A Garden Eternally: I Will Always Hope

"A really beautiful piece - in my personal opinion, probably one of your best (if not your best)! I love it. There is movement and consistency in the whole piece, and the subtle radial-blur-like effect is exactly what it is - subtle. It creates a fantasy-like atmosphere but does not detract from the piece's consistency or style. I simply love this piece of work! The poem is also a beautiful addition. I'm glad to think that I actually helped in this! *blushes*

I'm very sorry for not having seen this piece through and not commenting on an earlier date! But now I'm back, and all I can say is ... an excellent job as usual!! :D"

"Wow - it's got such depth & movement, and the way the background blends with the hair is fantastic - it looks almost as though she is enveloped in her own hair. The serenity of the scan in comparison to a somewhat chaotic feel in the background is a nice contrast. I love the concept and the powerful atmosphere of the wall! *Adds to faves*"

The Far Away Day

"I like this wall. It has such nice, clean feel going on. I really like the groovy shapes in the background, though a more subtle texture on the sun-thing would probably have been nicer, or a smoother one to go with the purple bits in the back.
I think the composition of this wall is great, and it's the kind of wallpaper that I really wouldn't mind sticking on my desktop for awhile. It's comfortable to use. ^_^"

Calm Night

3 years 8 months ago

"I love the composition and atmosphere of this wallpaper. It is quite breath-taking, and the whole standoffishness of the white wings, the white glows and feathers adds an interesting, dreamy effect to the piece. The scenery is well-incorporated, and so is the beautiful nebula - they support the atmosphere of the piece without drawing too much attention away from the glowing Robin.
I think the two feathers at the bottom are a little too blurry, though. Despite this, you create this wonderfully surreal feeling in this wallpaper with the large contrast between the realistic scenery and fantastical wings and sky.
It's a very beautiful piece. ^^"

InuYasha - Contemplation

3 years 9 months ago

"Wow. The vector is awesome! ^^ It's not crappy at all. The tracing on the sword looks great. I love the dusty, grungy texture you put in this wall, as well as the understated, cloudy background. A little more definition between the trees (are those trees?) and sky might be nice, though. The color is not too bright at all - it's a comfortable, earthy orange which reminds me of sunset. You create this somewhat sorrowful and contemplative atmosphere in this piece, which is fantastic.
I like the faint dusting effect at the bottom, but it'd probably look better without the vertical scanlines there. Some overdusting on other parts might have been nice as well, to create more balance.
Anyhow, I love this piece of work! Keep up the great work."

The Calm Before The Storm

3 years 9 months ago

"The black clouds add an interesting dark, imminent storm, sort of touch to the wallpaper. It's an interesting concept. I think a few white clouds might balance the piece a little, though, especially since Hitsugaya, Zaraki and Byakuya are both so bright and white. A bit of subtle texturing/brushing over the characters as well as the wall might help adjust the colors so they fit together better. Maybe some color-balancing will help as well.

On the overall, this is an interesting sort of concept, very fitting to some of the recent events in the series! I like it. :) Good job!"
