After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I played Persona 4 and I have Persona 3 ~FES edition, but I haven't played it yet. I liked both but I wish they had the option to include the Japanese voices...they had a all-star seiyuu cast.
I should restate a few things. It isn't a major overall, but it is nearest to the original release that the States has had access to without importing. So if you like Persona pick it up.

Anyway, I like the colors and style of the wallpaper. The font is a bit too standard, but it works. My main issue is that you might've used a bit more grungy brushes or textures for Revy, to make her blend with the background better. Especially her boots are too 'disconnected', because at that part, the background fades, but Revy doesn't, while she's basically part of the background, since that whole spiral of mental energy is floating around her.
Ah well, I always say every Black Lagoon wall is a good wall, but this one is a good wall anyway :P

"To be honest, I'm a bit clueless about this wall. The coloring work on the character is done pretty well, but the outlines are extremely bad (I see pixels!). I'm not sure if that's caused by the fact that Inkscape isn't the right program for vectors (only software like Adobe Illustrator is, although Photoshop does a fine job too at higher resolutions) or that you chose the wrong settings. Also, be more creative in vectoring or re-cg'ing a scan. There's a lot of out-of-border coloring in the original scan which you could or should have fixed, but haven't.
Same with the background: there's some good elements in it, but also some very bad. To start with the good: I like the water effect where it's shallow and where the water meets the sand. Could've been worked out a bit more subtle, but still a nice try. The sky is also OK, but the clouds in the upper part are suddenly very detailed and very opaque.
The sand, well, that's just crap. Don't ever use a noise pattern like that! Instead, just go for a smooth surface (plain color or light gradient) with vectored shadow- and wetness-effects.
And then there's the thing that you're obviously clueless about: lighting and composition. If the sun is on the top-right, how can the shadow of the girl's body and clothes be faced down-right? Plus, the reflection of the sun in the water is completely illogical.
About composition: it's more comfortable for the eye to see the character on the right side of the screen. This would also fix the faulty shadow-issue on the character, since you'd be putting the sun on the top-left in that case (in other words: the character in the scan was intended to be put on the right side as well).
I'm not trying to burn you off here, just trying to give a lot of help at once ;). You've got potention, you just need a lot of practise ;).

Anyhow, your wall is, well, a piece of art indeed. I've been looking for the right words to descibe it for 20 minutes now, but can't think of anything that sums up the message and the artwork without using silly Top Gear-terms like 'fantastic' and 'brilliant'. I mean, it's not a brilliant wall, it's 'just' an expression of a statement that is already shared and supported by many people, including me. The way you did it though, reminds me of those typical anti-communistic graffiti paintings and Che Guevara logo (which you now find on every t-shirt, baseball cap, wallet, lighter, etc <_<). And I love that style, plus it truly supports the message behind it. It's also something I can look at for a long time and find inspiration in.

Just like you I hope more wallers will be inspired by this wall. Not just by it's style, but more importantly by it's message. Thought behind art is definitely something I value above all else. Art is freedom, so you need to take that chance to express yourself.

First of all you just centered the whole extracted area from the scan. This means that Zack is dead center, but that his sword catches the eye first, instead of Aeris (is that Aeris? I'm no FF fan). Should've nudged the extracted scan to the left a bit, making her more centered and thus more visible. Or you could've even flipped the whole scan, because as you know most people see pictures just like they read text: from left to right, so the sword (+Zack) is now always the first thing people will notice.
Anyway, another thing is that the 'camera-angle' of the characters is more extreme than the angle of the background, which means they don't blend that well.
Still, those are only minor issues, unnoticable for the untrained eye. And AP isn't some fancy high-class art museum, so I'll have to conclude that this is a very nice, warm and well made wallpaper. " View

Yes, but you're getting away with it this time :D. The extreme angle, water deformation and the character's pose makes it all look right enough. That also goes for the fact that the water looks oily instead of watery; the overall look of the wall is just too good for anyone to notice it.
Enough negativeness, this is just a magnificent wall. Coloring is absoltuely fantastic, the water effects around the pedals look stunning and again, the overall look is just perfect.
