After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"Oh my god, I saw the thumbnail and thought: YES, this is a fantastic concept. And it is. Very original and I love how the characters have their head slightly tilted. That alone makes the difference between just a nice concept, and a perfected idea. Fantastic work!" View

"This wall's got potention.
About the background: I'd definitely go for the destroyed city theme. The pose and style of the character really gives that 'only survivor' feel.
As a finish, I'd really give this wall a dark, grungy style, with lots of smoke and dust in both foreground and background. Dust will help covering the boring spots of the character, so the viewer's eyes will be dragged to the right points: his arm and his face. " View

Hot damn, what a jaw-dropping wall this is. I can't think of anything to say here, it's just a perfect piece. Nice work on the gradients, I know how bitchy those artifacts are. Seeing everything smooth really makes the difference, so I greatly appreciate your effort.
"Ah yes, this wall combines the 2 things I hate most in vectors: thick black outlines and a little blur (or is that just my sleepy eyes?).
But that's just a personal thing and I got to admit the fat black outlines help to give the wall that simple look you were eh.. looking for.
If you really applied some blur (might also be my monitor, my eyes or jpeg artifacts), I don't really get why. If anything, the background should be blurred, not the characters. So that's kinda odd, but other than that, I guess it's a nice, simple and sexy wall.
"It's been a while since I saw a good, original wall like this on AP. Luckily you seem to have agreed with me, so I finally got something to +fav again :3
No really, you're absolutely right about the lack of quality texture walls and you did a great job 'promoting' this style. Your wall is a fantastic piece of art, very stylish and authentic.
"I agree with Aki. Even though having twice the same character in one wall isn't necessarilly a basic mistake, in this case it definitely is a wrong choice.
I could give more tips and stuff, but since this wall is fundamentally weak, I suggest you reconsider your composition and come back with something different." View

"Vector wise, this wall is freaking awesome. Respect for that. There are, however, some points I don't like about this wall.
First of all, the perspective on the right mecha seems a bit weird. It's really hard to determine how that mecha lines up with the floor, due to the tilted camera angle, illogical shadows and the dynamic pose of the mecha.
Secondly, WHERE ARE THE EFFECTS?! That's the most pathetic spark I've ever seen. Come on, those things hitting each other is supposed to be an epic battle and a giant inpact! Massive sparks! Smoke! Dramatic music!
Smoke/dust would've solved the first problem too, by the way.
Considering the amount of time you must've spent on the vector, I can understand why you wanted to upload it as fast as possible, but in my honest opinion, a bit more time on the postproduction and this wall would've been way more awesome.
Don't get me wrong, the wall is still pretty good and will be popular, but for me to fave it, that's gonna take just a bit more ;). Good luck on future projects.

"I like the concept, but I think Mylenne fails to blend in nicely. The fat black outlines are making her look too simple and cartoony, while the background photo is more detailed.
Anyway, it's nice to see a new 009-1 wallpaper, so nice try and good luck with future projects." View
Anyway, your wall is OK, the background is really cool. As pagkaing said though, the characters are a bit blurry and so are the photos, tools and blood. Would've been better if they were sharp.
All in all you did a nice job, Trauma Center has really nice artwork and I think you did great making a wall in that style.

"Very nice first (or third, whatever) wall! It's a simple concept, but your composition is pretty good. I often see these kind of mirror-effect walls screwed up because of bad focus or wrong point of view. You made -imo- the right choices on these subjects. The real arm (opposed to the mirrored one) is nicely blurred, as it should and the whole wall has a cinematic point of view, shoulder height, instead of a first person view many wallers make of it. The result of this all is that the character looks tough and very present.
Naturally, there are a few things that I can bitch about, especially the black outlines, since I'm known to hate those ^__^. Fat black outlines make the character look comic-book like, which is kinda cheap-looking in my opinion. In your defence, it does match the overall simple look of the wall.
Anyways, I guess my main critique would be that it's a bit unclear where the mirror ends. Might've been good to have some sort of wallpaper on the wall next to the mirror, so it's a clear contrast. Now it kinda looks like the whole wall could be a mirror.
Also, I think it's all a bit too simple-looking, but it seems that you've done that on purpose, so that's ok.
All in all a pretty fine wall, you definitely got a good eye for composition, etc. and for me, that's more important than anything else. Looking forward to your next projects!" View

"Very nice first wall ;) Thanks a lot for listening to my advises in SZ, you've really improved your walling skills in the process and I was very happy to help out.
Anyway, it's a sweet wall with a nice scene, beautiful flowers and an impressive sky.
Looking forward to your next wall!
"Wow, this is a pretty kick-ass wall. I really love the painting-like style, you did a really good job upgrading it from the small scan to high resolution.
The only thing I can bitch about is the fact that the thing she's holding in her hand doesn't look like a meat-cleaver that much, perhaps mainly because it's too flat at the top (notice how there's an extra line in the scan, showing that you have somewhat of a top-down view on the knife, which is completely lacking in your wall).
Nonetheless, a fine piece of art. +fav" View

"The moment I saw that scan in the gallery, long time ago, I just knew someone was going to make a GTA-like wall out of it. It's actually a pretty cheap thing to do, but to hell with that, it works.
Anyway, I always comment Black Lagoon walls because I love the series and love to see good walls made for it. Unfortunately, I can't say your wall is that good. The blur is just killing the details and the thick black lines are making that even worse.
Choosing to fix scans instead of vectoring was the wrong choice, because the original GTA covers are vectored. And with parodies, you either need to do copy the whole style right, or choose a completely different concept. This is just half-half.
Still, I always end with my motto: "every Black Lagoon wall is a good wall", so... nice try ^__^" View

"I absolutely love this kind of walls where you have an original perspective and an interesting vector. There's so many things that can go wrong, but if you get it right, the result is mind-blowing. And I'm very happy to say this wall is excellent!
The vector is just perfect and you've actually proven me that black lines on a vector CAN look good. It really matches the whole style, so well done there! It's just great to see how a vector can still have that manga-feeling.
My only point of critique is the fact that the reflection of the hair is a bit too blurry. Other than that though, a brilliant wallpaper.
"Lineless vectors can be very cool, but it does require a proper technique.
Your wall simply looks unfinished. What you have here would be the base layer for a very nice, line-less wallpaper, but you didn't go any further. With more layers of shadow and highlight, this could've been a proper wall. And that's too bad." View

"Fun wall, nice bright and funky colors that are perfect for this time of the year. Great brushes too.
My only negative critique is about the fact that the character doesn't cast any shadow on the floor, making it look like she's floating around.
But yea, all in all a very fresh and funky, high quality wall. Keep up the good work!" View

"Not a fan of black lines, but this is a sublime vector. Love the colors, they're very well picked. Technically the background isn't really in the right perspective, but it does fit in really well, so it doesn't matter at all (just mentioning it to be bitchy :P)
This is an unbelievably beautiful wall. Technically perfect, graphically stunning. My only critique is the fact that the girl doesn't seem to look the fox in the eyes, which is kinda odd unless she has some ear-fetish.
"This wall is so much better without the text, or a more subtle text (handwritten style or something, glowing bright) on the bottom right.
Also, I kinda dislike the sorta motion-blur-like stripes in the hair. Still, overall it's a brilliant piece, but PUH-LEASE upload a textless version ;)" View

"Lol, I saw your shameless advertising in the Paper People group. I did spot this wall before, but I couldn't be bothered to comment because I think this wall lacks expression and exitement.
This is definitely not a bad wall, quality-wise. Let that be a fact.
The problem is that the scene is just odd. For some reason it doesn't feel natural the way Rakka is facing down, since you don't actually see any motion. I wondered if the wall looks better upside down, but then Rakka's face looks weird, lol.
Anyway, another problem is that the character doesn't really blend in with the background, but doesn't stand out that much either. This results in flatness, which is not good.
All in all, this IS a decent wall, I really love the background, but the scene is just too unexiting." View
