After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! The only problem is that with resizing it, you WILL notice the fact that the scan isn't cleaned very well.
So here's just a tip for now: try adding some motion blur to the character and snowboard, plus the snow-dots around it to add some more action and speed to the wall." View

Note that I'm writing this as a friend, otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered to comment on a wall like this. Besides, it'll teach you not asking me anything :P
No really, I'm warning you, you won't find me very nice giving my honest opinion:

Let me give it to you straight with the use of some important points:
-Perspective: at first I thought it was all off because the floor looks a bit weird, but it's actually good.
-Composition: Character is located well, the scene is pretty nice and the balls make perfect details.
-Colors/Brightness/Contrast: TERRIBLE. The scene isn't bright enough, comparible to a photo made at dusk, without having any lights to compensate. Because of that, the colors are life-less and dull. The shadow colors are strange too, because the shadows on the floor and in the sleeve are actually brighter than the clothes and hair.
-Lighting/Shadows: Kinda wrong, since the shadows on the floor tell me there are windows 'north' of the wallpaper (they fade to the bottom), but shadows on the character tell me there's light coming from the left, which could be possible, but would mean extra fading on the shadows from the windows.
-Balls: Weird. It's hard to see what those balls should look like, because the 'texturing' is a bit weird (same as floor, without the balls being actually translucent). I like the reflection on the ball next to the char's head, the other one seems a bit odd. In any case, this is how I would've done it (yes I'm being cocky now :x):
In conclusion, this is a bad wall that's heavily overrated because people vote for the makers and not the quality of the wall.
Don't ever make me do this again. It's not like I find it amusing to burn you guys, especially not when it's a gift for someone else, but I just want to see good wallpapers coming from the both of you. And I know Bernouli got the skills for that, no doubt.

Anyways, about the wall, I already gave my opinion on your 'beta version' and I still think it's a very nice wallpaper. It's a bit more red-ish though than the one I saw last time, which was more purple-ish. I personally liked that one slightly better, but that's just a personal preference I guess.
Also, there are some weird gradient 'waves' in the steam/fog/whatever, which might be the result of aggressive filtering.
But don't worry, I always have something to bitch about, most people wouldn't even care and hopefully that includes Warrior ^___^.

That's some kick-ass re-CG'ing you did there. The colors, paint technique and soft edges look absolutely fantastic on the car. In fact, it's the best looking car I've ever seen in a painted image.
Takumi's hair and t-shirt look a bit odd, but no real complaints there.
The one thing that is keeping this wall from being sub-zero cool is something I can't fully blame on you, but the perspective isn't right at all. I know you 'just' re-cg'ed the scan, so the perspective there is already off. I think though that you could've made that wooden plate/fence against the wall align with the stone texture and make the white wall on the left more straight (vertically).
Still, this is one amazing wallpaper that definitely deserves to be faved.

"As always, high quality vectoring and a cute scene.
The vector itself is pretty basic, but respect for your work on the background. The bushes must've been a bitch to do, even though you simplified it. The thing I like most about this wall, are the effects you put in it. The blurs work absolutely perfect and especially the sunlight is done brilliantly.
The only negative points I got are the colors and composition: the green hairs of the green haired girl are a bit too dark and the bushes a bit too blue and the whole point of view is unlogical. I can't and won't blame you for that though, because those things are in the scan already. And nobody cares anyway :P.
One thing I can blame you for is the fact that the bushes are simplified a bit too much, would've been nice to see extra layers of color there, but again, I totally understand that'd be a hell to do, so...

First of all, yes the shadows are very wrong, but so is the whole perspective. Thing is though, the wall has some sort of expressionistic style, which basically makes you forget about those things, because it's all part of the style.
I love it how everything in the wall 'flows' towards the same side. You definitely got a great feel for that.
I do have some points of critique:
The texturing on the lighthouse is too flat (even though the lines are very rough and jumpy, overall they run straight, which is impossible on a cylinder shaped object).
Also, I don't like some outlines on the character and railing. Especially the ones on the shirt are in too much contrast with the background. It's weird because your work on the legs and bag is fantastic regarding that. Also the hair is a bit too shiny and smooth.
All in all though, this truly is a work of art. Fantastic paining-like feel and the style you picked really works great. Very original too.

Grass looks better now, but the wall is still far from finished. The next step -imo- would be jaggy-hunting. There are a lot of jagged lines in there. All lines should be razer sharp and straight for the best result. Even rough objects should be made jag-free first. I'm not really talking about the photo's, especially the right one has a very aggressive, rough filter on it, so that's normal, but the ribbons, the characters in the left image, etc.
"I normally don't like these kind of walls, since they are quite popular amongst newbies that think a 'flat' image with some pencil drawings will make a good wall. It usually doesn't, but yours, yours is definitely different. The whole composition is just brilliant, it really looks like someone has scribbled some stuff first to get the right inspiration and then just drawn that amazing image of Azumanga. The choice of scan is perfect, the scene's perspective makes the whole wall so dynamic and great to look at. Sublime coloring and the well placed pencil just finish the wall completely.
Minor point of critique is the fact that the pencil is a bit too flat, but on the other hand it now blends well with the rest of the scene instead of some weird, hard shadowed pencil floating over the paper.
In conclusion: you just took the full 100% out of this concept and made it a brilliant wall. Deserves to be faved :3
About the wall: it's a bit too bright for my likings and the perspective isn't completely accurate, but as I always say: every Black Lagoon wall is a good wall, so I won't bitch about it :D

No seriously, the lightning and shadows are pretty off, although the avarage viewer won't even notice. First of all there's the problem with the character, which in the scan seem to have some light coming from the top-left (causing all the basic shadows on the character), plus some hard light coming from the explosion behind her (causing the black clothes to be pitch black). In this snowy mountain scene, none of those lights are retraceable. Instead, judging on the dark areas on the mountains, the sun stands somewhere on the top right. And for some reason the shadow of the character on the snow is directed to the top left. That would mean there's a light 'behind the camera'. If this were the case though, the legs would've been lit properly and not turn pitch black like they are now.
As said though, the avarage viewer won't even notice, but I have to work a lot with composition, lights and shadows for my study, so I'm always a sucker for those things ;)
So my tip for your next wall, if again combining a different bg with an extracted character; visualize the light sources. And you could always ask me :D
