After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"Well, you know what I said about the screenshot being one of the most wallpaperized ones on the net, but I'm really glad you improved it by vectoring and re-coloring. This way, this actually IS a good wall, whereas most of these wallpapers suck.
There are still some points that I think could be improved, like the eyebrow that has too much 'outline' on the top and the eyelashes being a bit too flat and 'painted on', but overall, it's a good result: it's more original and it's creepy, which is exactly what this wall should be.

As Kuryuki said, a more complex vector would seperate your wall from the crap that's already floating on the internet.
I'm not quite sure if you've already vectored the scan and then put a filter over it to make it look rubbish again, but in any case, making it a clean vector would be a better result. Also, be sure to go for that scary, 'in-your-face' look. Super close-ups like these usually don't work as a wallpaper, unless it's detailed and creepy." View

Just a personal thing here, as said your vector is really good, but all within the limits of Photoshop. My main point of critique on Photoshop vectoring is that all lines are exactly 1 or 2 pix wide, everywhere. Although there aren't that many lines in your wall, it is noticable, which means the overall feel is a bit too... computer-made (can't find the right word, hope you understand). With hand-drawn lines, as they are in the scan, you have a way more dynamic look of your vector, making it more lively. With real vector programs like Illustrator you can trace those lines much better and although it's a lot more work, the result is -imo- better. So I hope you someday switch to Illustrator, because you got a good feel for vectoring, but I get the feeling PS is holding you back ;)
Don't take it too serious though, I mean, if you like Photoshop then stick to it, because Illustrator is quite tricky to get used to. Still, it might be worthy of giving it a try ;).

"Ouch, pattern overlay is only there to be used in a subtile way. I reckon literally everything in got a strong pattern overlay, which makes it very unrealistic. Drop those intensity values a bit and it'll be much better.
Also, I'd prefer to have the photo's more realistic and glossy instead of the unnatural scetchy or patterned effects. And I agree with Fye one or two extra photo's would liven up the image a bit.

First of all, the perspective is totally off. The character and chessboard are drawn in a top-down view, while the wall, the hand and the chess pieces are drawn in a side view. The result is that the total wallpaper looks weird and flat.
Secondly, the shadows. I really can't figure out where you guys think the light-source in the scene is. The gradient of the wall and chessboard tell me it's somewhere in the hand, the shadows on the chess pieces tell me it's on the far left, but the shadow on the hand and the character tell me it's on the far right. In the scan the light is clearly coming from the right.
I'm sorry to be so critical, but I really want you both to make nice wallpapers and I really think you guys can make high-quality wallpapers too. So hopefully you take this comment the right way and blow me away with your next wall ;)

First of all, I like the concept, the composition is pretty nice and your work on the characters is OK. The text fits well too.
Now, what I think you can improve is the way those splatters look a bit too much like simple brush-clicks. They are, of course, but you might want to try multiple layers of brushes, with slightly different colors, creating more depth.
Talking about colors, I'd prefer a more yellow-ish background instead of the white. There's a bit too much white anyway, so you might want to try some light yellow-green brushes to fill up the background.
Final note: those arrows to the left of the characters are a bit odd. They could work, but not in those colors. Maybe if you make em white and yellow (the same color as the bg I just mentioned), they'd stick out more and make a nice detail.
You're definitely on the right way with this, just a few more steps and this can be a very nice wall ;)

I do have a couple of things that I don't like in this wall, but I think you've spent a lot of time in this already, so I'll stick with my main point of critique:
The shadow of the character gets created by a light coming from the right window. Yet it starts directly below the window, as if the whole left wall is emitting light. That's not correct. In a natural situation, you'd have a big shadow of the wall beneath the window first, falling over the table legs and the characters foot.

"Not really my style, this, but very inspiring. I'm getting into 3D modeling as well and this is a great example of how you can combine 3D modeling and anime. Your wallpaper is composed very well, the character blends in perfectly. One minor thing is perhaps the lack of accurate reflections in the 3D objects, but that's no biggie.
