After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"The thumbnail of the paper doesn't really do the image justice, once I downloaded it really came to life. Sakura's dress is absolutely beautiful and well done, the vectoring job is very well done. Only criticism is that there's no ws version, seems that's there never any love for us with ws users .()#" View

"Its a cute image to start out with, but as aforementioned it seems to be cropped (always a shame when images get chopped, especially if they can be a ws paper too) and leaving out some of the original image. The background itself is ok, but doesn't really match well with the paper theme. It'd turn out much better to find a better matching background, or even a real photo and vector it in to match with the style to get a better final product.
Sorry that my Spanish isn't so hot anymore, its still second to Japanese as it was my first other language I learned, but haven't used it much in the past few years ^^;;" View

"When I first saw the original scans I was (originally) really bummed that they were seperated since they fit together so perfectly. Great job on putting them together and adding all the finishing touches. So cute seeing them all dressed up as Miko's (and displaying their unique temperments)." View

"The background you've done is great. It really complements the original image very well, I think it gives (albeit an abstract) visualization of Louise's feelings at that point in the episode when she is actually wearing that dress. Not sure which color to suggest, but the overall color of the background doesn't feel right; to close to her hair color. Wouldn't need to be a bright and vibrant color per se, put something that is a better complement to the original image to balance it out rather than let the image blend into the background." View

Hmm, looks almost exactly like the original scan (http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Shakugan-No-Shana/item159773/) with possibly an adjustment in the color levels. Nice cropping job though." View

"Very good execution of the whole burning parchment shema. Admittedly I'm biased towards widescreen papers, I think that enlarging the original Shana image horizontally might make it look a little more random in the burn pattern." View

"The eyes and hair are both really nicely done. I really like how you preserved the blushing from that scene on the face. One thing I recall is the yukata being more of a bright red than maroon. Having a little more contrast would keep the hair from blending into the yukata so much." View

"The effects on the left side of the image are interesting, but I think that showing more (if not all) of Haruhi's kimono should be preserved. The design on the kimono is just beautiful, and to cover it up too much detracts from its potential. The background textures are interesting, though using some more colors besides yellow would really help to put the focus on Haruhi." View

"I really love that particular image, with the addition of the rest of the flowers its a perfect fit. Only aspect that seems out of place is what appears to be Haruhi's shadow. With the sun behind her there shouldn't be (what appears to be at least) a shadow behind her." View

"I really like that particular figure, amidst a sea of mediocre Eva figures this is one that really stands out from the crowd. Its a great image for making into wallpapers, but all the ones I've seen so far have fallen short due to poor source scans. I think I kept the box the figure came in, will check around in my storage to try and find it. The images on the box are better than what I've been able to find just looking around the internet for images. The quality of the image aside, the wallpaper seems very busy. Though you'll focus on Asuka first since she's in the center of the wallpaper, there's too much misc. items that detract from the overall composure of the paper." View

"I really like the general idea and juxtaposition of Miyu and Larva, to me at least it feels like the image is unbalanced - with too much on Miyu's side. Either removing or scaling down the green sphere in the upper right should fix that. Upon first looking at the wallpaper its going to be the first thing that most people will notice. Admittedly I'm a little biased in this respect, imo this wallpaper would be perfect if it were done as a widescreen ratio. " View

"Really like how the shoji screen fits in perfectly with the posture of the original scan. With the cherry tree's blooming and all the Sakura petals flying around portrays a feeling of innocence. While this is a great wallpaper, I think it'd be interesting to do another one with the same background and foreground but leave the aura surrounding her that's in the original scan." View

"Definitely a bold style for the wallpaper. The image used for Shana wading through the water is nicely done, and fitting for her disposition as she looks like someone just got caught peeking. The background itself is interesting in its own way, looks like the fire bombing of Dresden. The angle of the background makes with the rest of the image isn't quite right. It looks like the city is sliding into the water as it burns. There's also no defined coastline which could help break the focus on the angle of the burning city." View

"I really like how you improved on the original image. The background in the original image is too gray and doesn't exactly look like a picturesque moment. With the brighter background it really brights out Belldandy's features, especially the dress. The subtle pattern on it comes out, something that was absent in the original. Only criticism I've got is that all the original scans I've seen of the image are widescreen, always find it a shame to chop images up." View

"An absolutely brilliant idea for a wallpaper. The source material is used with precision, and with putting the focus of the paper onto one side of the fan it gives it a real artistic feel to it. Like something you'd find in a Japanese antique store. My only criticism is that the real fans don't have such a seamless image on them. I've got several fans like this one and while the image is definitely obvious, its painted on while the paper is flat, so when you fold it up to make the fan it puts the image into 3D which distorts a little of the image. For the sake of the image as a whole, adding the folds over the image works great. To make it truly accurate to what a real fan is like wouldn't make for a good wallpaper." View

The waves in the image really match the original image well, but the black ones tend to draw the attention of the eyes away from the focus of the wallpaper." View

"Just a beautiful wallpaper. When I see Japanese artists and talk with them I try to get them to draw one of their female characters in a kimono. Most of the time they have this look of anguish and typically will say that its just to hard to do without a substantial amount of time (though have found asking them to draw one in a yukata or hakuma is like black and what, asking them to draw specificially a kimono would be like asking an American artist to draw a girl in a prom dress, too much detail required). Though it seems that the population at large (and considering that Japan is the target audience) is more interested in seifuku's or kogal's, a kimono can be so much more elegant and like this picture very sexy, while still very picturesque. Its a shame we usually only see them in maybe one episode a series for a new years or hanamatsuri festival." View
