This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah kinda power rock. too mainstream pop rocky, same with coheed really -- Disturbed kinda tries to 'look' sorta metal though but they're not doing it right
"Wow, such an ambitious task indeed. I love that you've done this, it's nice to see wallpapers from lesser walled series, and using a black and white scan is truly fantastic. I mistook it for an anime image, and was so surprised thinking this series would be animated in fall or something. lol XD;;; " View

"Nice. Easy on the eyes; cute fantasy scene; and a pretty watercolor-like style and use of color. I can't find anything wrong with it, it's just the sort of wallpaper I'm going to love using this summer. Thanks!" View

"Cute concept, I really like how you used over-sized text for Rukia's pedestal--clever idea. I love the designs on the letters itself. The left side is a bit more bare than most people may find comfortable; but, as for me, I like that as I usually have winamp up on that top-left if I can get away with it anyhow. " View

"This is exquisite, I've wanted to see this as a wallpaper since I first saw the image. I'm also a huge fan of Makie--she's interesting like many of the Blade of the Immortal characters. The use of textures is nice, and the colors combine to give it a nice water-colored feel. " View

"I think I would have ditched the buildings and kept it one tone, it looks fabulous without that and 2489374 people use that same technique (not sure where it started). I love the energy and, unlike a couple comments, I do genuinely like the wide an rich color palette. This reminds me a lot of some crazy Indian music videos/advertisements I've seen--I think it's picking up in China, too. lol Thanks for this." View

"For the fangirls, eh? I feel we're awfully neglected in comparison to the fanboys, so thanks. lol
I like the colors, and think even if it's just a "sketch" it's quite the wallpaper. There is a sort of shadowed line going down vertically close to the middle (leaning a bit on the left side of the wallpaper rather than the right) sort of like a crease of a paper bag that I find a bit puzzling. It isn't so dark that I cannot help notice it; rather I find it strange, but easy enough to overlook." View

"Lolz I'm amused by the desert scene, and something about a chibi snake is just wrong, yet so right (way to drop Sasuke's intimidating level to a -10 or thereabouts). I like the soft, airbrushy looking color technique, it works great with chibi Sasuke and Naruto." View

"Really impressive. It's amazing to find so much handmade work nowadays with so much dependency on stock photos. The bird-wing design being reused for the "c" in "countryside" is probably the one thing I dislike, however. It probably would be quite all right if not for the fact that it's almost exactly above the bird's wing itself. This is one of my favorite Nao Tukiji pictures..." View

"I like the baroque circus theme going on here. The name strikes me as a bit weird. What does gambling have to do with a circus? o.O; The gray is a bit too much, there's just such an excess of it, and unnecessarily so. I would have liked to have had more of the image and less gray. " View

"I have to say: great use of stock! I've seen Shoofly-Stock before, but given how so many of his stuff is 3D in appearance, it's not always the easiest to work with when the main imagery is 2D like anime and manga characters.
I'm not sure how much I like the Japanese. It's so huge, and overpowering, and BLACK that it kinds of draws the eye, instead of to the real central focus.
This is quite beautiful, and though it may be a bit on the gruesome side, I can see myself using it in the future." View

"I agree with what someone else said earlier, the textures you've used makes it look painted and much more mellow, which is certainly befitting of such a playful, happy moment in the otherwise tormented existence of Agito/Akito. The color you chose for the pants is a bit distracting from the rest, it doesn't quite seem harmonious enough (ugh, I sound so pretentious) with the blue of the background, their hair, et cetera. Otherwise, I like this quite a bit and look forward to using it in the future." View

"This is superb! I love the pattern on the kimono, the use of Nyx is interesting given that Ringo is forced to suffer from her own abilities, and does most her skating at night as well, as part of the "night life." I like the colors, how Ringo is bringing the night over sunset using her kimono. I like Air Gear; but, like you, find it as nothing spectacular--although to give it credit the manga is much, much better. So this is a high tribute, in my opinion!" View

"You would think with the 5 million or so beautiful Saiyuki scans that are floating about we'd get more gorgeous walls, but no. This is one of my favorite Hakkai pictures. (How does he make eating an orange, one of the messiest fruits possible, look sensuous?) I love the fonts, which is so rare for me. I swear I loath so many fonts these days, so many are overused/badly used. I like the background in general: the pattern, colors, effects.
What I don't like is possibly how tan Hakkai's skin has become through manipulation. I can understand the necessity of some adjustments--I have this picture as a poster over my desk, so I know it well--to match the background better, but it still makes him look too latte-colored. Besides that one fault, I really do love this. It's done so well." View
