While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

It's simple, but the thing that I like most about it is its simplicity, and COLORS.
For me, wallpapers should have nice colors that can visually please the eyes. Composition is of a lower priority, along with image quality, that is.
I love the colors in this one. Absolutely elegant look of saber, combined with fitting title 'Aftermath', and a sunset look. The chemistry works! :D

Considering it's your first wallpaper, I must say, it's very, very impressive for a first-timer.
Hmm.. the rendered landscape looks a bit too realistic compared to the scan, and the buildings look as if they were floating on a thick layer of fog (or the fog was actually aren't opaque enough to hide the intersection between ground horizon line and the buildings' bases). And I think the shooting star in the middle is kinda,... random..? ^_^'
Nevertheless, it's a wonderful concept. I can 'feel' the 'action' going on in this wallpaper. I find the angle and composition in this wallpaper to be the most interesting aspects.
All in all, great job. I hope to see more from you." View

But, as a desktop wallpaper, as to my personal tastes, it's a bit too crowded.
I think it's wayyy much better to make separate wallpapers from each of the character vectors rather than stuffing them all in one.

the background is too blurred out. Kenshin looks sharp, but the bluriness of the background separates him from it.
You mentioned that you made the bg using Terragen.. I think the result should already be sharper. To match the terragen render result with the anime style, you can use 'cutout' filter, or 'median' filter, and since you used a texture, it would look much better compared to using excessive gaussian blur.
And I think the birds are too much... lol... try randomizing the placement, or reducing the number.
Great concept, but the execution can be better.
And.. is it me, or Kenshin isn't properly extracted? There are small, white areas, either caused by that, or by somekind of outer glow... most noticeably in his hair." View

"Jagged lines. If you're using AI, enlarge the vector to more than the target reso then export it as 150 ppi. In PS, apply 'blur' filter, then resize it to the desired reso.
Anything else rocks, and I've commented in MT about the circles,... I'm more than happy to see the wall being less cluttered.
