StellarXInochi's wallpaper is a beautiful piece of art combined with excellent design and an outstanding concept. The soft, yet bright colors create a fairytale-like atmosphere, and the water-color-like execution meets a successful typograhy and makes the wallpaper something special.
Personally, I think the background should match the colors of the scan a little bit, not too much , just so he still stands out from the background. You can leave the black there, but try to give those swirly thingies some color from the scan. just a suggestion :D
One thing I noticed is that, to me, the background stands out a little bit too much. In one way it might be how you set the light. Is there a Spotlight somwhere in that room? Because I don't remember a candle giving off such a strong light. The light also would have a more orangeish tone of color.
The same goes for the window frame in the middle. Why is that lighter than next to it, above and beneath it? Is a lamp shining onto that spot or?
Then again, a well done job on making the background (except for the strange light arrangement). Heh this wall could've been a bit darker even, but that's just my opinion.

I like the colors you chose though. They harmonize well with Rei.
Other than that, I think it is okay to say that it is a good wallpaper and is able to appeal to people (and that is a matter of preference too if it does appeal to other people or not).
And if you want to be helped, don't ask for fav's. Here is my advice for you: You have to EARN your fav's and not ask for them ;) so this is my way of helping you, that's why I won't fav this wallpaper. I'm sure you can do even better than this. Hope you don't give up!
I really like this wallpaper because it looks like some kind of page of a magazine featuring Yuna. The design elements fit perfectly and the use of yuna is well done too!
This wallpaper would actually do good as a webdesign too (with minor changes etc.)

I downloaded the scan from AP around November of last year probably because someone at #minitokyo wanted another pantsu wall.
And you had to oblige them why exactly? Not everyone loves "ecchi." Twelve year old girl's underwear isn't mildly perverted. It's offensive and it ruins an otherwise lovely effort. Ick.
First of all, if you didn't realize, that's not a real girl there. Second, if you can't comment/criticise more than one part of that wallpaper, don't even try to. Third, would you be saying the same thing if the background was an ocean/beach and the girl had a bathing suit on?

Very impressive indeed. I like the setting and the painting is well done. But as shinn mentioned, it's too blurry for my tastes or, how should I put this, I don't see enough 'edges' or 'defined borders', or perhaps a little bit more contrast in the BG.
Also the hair of the 'white' samurai seems different x_x somehow...
But the idea of putting the doves in there scattering away is a nice idea (x_x but do they actually exist in a bamboo forrest?) i also like the idea with the falling leaves (leafs? i dunno XP), it creates that certain atmosphere.
Hmm I give this an 5.0/6.0 (meaning very good) just for the fact that this was actually PAINTED...all of it.
Looking forward to more of your work if you get some spare time ;D

First of all, I thought i was the only person to actually use that scan of Anemone for something :3 how greatly i was mistaken.
The colors fit her overall appearance and it has the feeling of...cold fresh pink soda xD ionno it might be the heat that makes me think like that hehe

I like the feel of this wallpaper, the two moons add to this. It kinda feels menacing rather than comforting as in "fear not" :]. I like the grass, imo i think its not overused in this wall.
what I dont quite like is the larger moon. It's kinda...well pixelated O.o and also you should try to put some extra flavour to the greg martin moon =/ trust me i've done plenty of them and they end up looking all the same so i hope you aren't satisfied with the current state of your moon/planet making abilities. also now looking at it, it would have been much cooler if the larger trabant would have been another planet... :] just my opinion though.
then we have naota...i'm not sure but...the scan doesnt look clean...clean as in extracted clean or so...mayb work a bit on that?
Other than that it's a good wallpaper. But not yet a wallpaper I would fav (not saying that I'm better so don't sweat it ;D).

"I don't quite know what to say except...purely stunning. The essence here is surely the simpleness of the wall...which was a product of hard long work. It's a definite fav, and personally I'd put this in the featured walls.

what I dont quite like is the larger moon.
