As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. i dont like those circle brushes. and i hate brushes in general. main problem is i can tell its just repeated laziness all around. This is what happens when you use other ppls brushes. there is no creativty.

have you tried surface blur or median to get rid of the scans print pixels?>
i would have probably moved the entire image to the left a little so theres more black/white ratio, but then the focal point that is Lain, wouldnt be so interesting...
it would have been nice to see more visible the spider webs. make a new layer, and just paint the web lines manually or something.
