After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"It's always good to see your work. While I can't exactly wrap my head around the theme entirely (honestly, I don't really see this so much as yuri, even though I understand how one would think so), it's certainly has a tender and emotional feel. Regardless of how... deep this relationship may be, you did a great job with creating a soft atmosphere. For me, I believe this is created by the great soft-shading technique you used for this image, as it definitely helps to enforce the mood you were trying to give birth to. When I look at things like the curtains and the pillows, I can't imagine this wallpaper have quite the same feel if the shading was more of the traditional cel-shaded affair, so kudos for going in this correction.
As for everything else, it's what I've come to expect from you. The vectoring is great, and you did a great job on backgrounds, as usual. Such little things like the birds and the trees that can be seen through the window might take a back seat from the characters and theme, but it does help in the overall appeal of the wallpaper, and it shows the amount of effort you put into your work, as such things are compromised at times. I don't really know what to make of the hands (I think) at the bottom of the image, though, as the overall tone and color of them is completely different from the rest of the skin. If this was by design, don't mind this comment so much, but it is a tad off from my perspective.
Longer story short, this is another very solid wallpaper from you. Very well done!" View

"Is it just me, or is anyone else getting a gangster vibe from Yondaime right now? Anyways, this is clearly one of those wallpapers that relies on the vector to do most of the talking, and I think that you did a nice job with it. In particular, the eyes and headband/protector are two areas I think you did good work with. Maybe some sort of lineart could have helped a bit here, but I think I understand where you were going with this well enough to see why you made the vector this way.
Honestly, though, I do wish that there was something that could be done to help fill out the empty areas to the right. If it wasn't for the text, half of the wallpaper would be completely empty. I think a Leaf logo or something of that nature could have added to this image, but still allowed the dark nature of the wallpaper to carry the theme home. I suppose there may be some desktops this works well with or maybe even someone can move his/her icons around to compliment the wallpaper, which would probably make the desktop as a whole look awesome. For most desktops I've seen, though, I imagine that there's going to that area that could use something there.
Nevertheless, one can't help but like that dark, but cool feel this wallpaper gives. Good work putting together a simple wallpaper that still sports some style. :)" View

"The theme is suggestive, to say the least, but it's hard not to give you credit for doing such a solid job on the wallpaper in general. I hate to sound like a broken record, seeing as how it has been documented already numerous times, but the vector work really is outstanding stuff. I'm amazed whenever someone is able to get create such a quality and colorful vector, and you're one of the best from what I've seen. Your choice of colors for this image also works nicely; deciding the change the colors of the sheets was a very good move.
I think the background is decent. Once again, the color scheme isn't bad, and the hearts do add an added degree of flair to them. Actually, the background makes the image look almost like a portrait for the characters. However, it's looking at it from that perspective that makes me wish that you would have created an illusion of sorts to make it look like the background was zoomed out a little more, as the 'wall' just seem too 'close' to them. Maybe you wanted to draw some attention to the background itself, I think but smaller tiles and weaker shadows really could have giving it some added depth. Still, it's the only thing that I can add to this wallpaper from a critique standpoint, though, so it's clear that this is a worthy wall.
Honestly, I can't see myself getting away with using this, but I can see this doing well with a number of desktops. :P Great job!" View

"I'm not sure what more I can add that hasn't already been said, but I would like to add some kind of comment to this wallpaper. First of all, the vector of Venus really is superb. It's just something about the quality that puts a smile on my face. Secondly, I really do like where you were going with the love chain effect, and despite not knowing much about Sailor Venus, it seems to compliment her extremely well. When it comes to those two things, and even the shapes in the background, this is a great wallpaper.
Now, for the background as a whole, I just think it needs to be a little more "busy" in order for it to maximize the theme you were working with. Even with the shapes, it's hard to shake the feeling that the orange-to-yellow-to-orange gradient could use some sort of effect to spice it up. While I'm no expect on this or anything, maybe by starting off with a texture can do something to provide a spark that could really get things moving. Looking at Venus, I can really see something that says "fun" would probably provide a significant boost to the overall feel of this wallpaper.
Background aside, it's hard to not like this wallpaper. Coming from someone who isn't a Sailor Moon fan, I can see this as a cool desktop image one day. If you're still in the mood to tweak some things here and there, I would encourage experimenting with what you can do to make this an amazing wallpaper. That being said, it's a cool one as it is now. Nicely done." View

"Heh, nothing wrong with liking Pokemon at such an age. :P Anyways, as far as this wallpaper goes, I'm impressed at how crisp, clean, and colorful everything looks. It really shows how much work you put into making this vectoring project as close to perfect as you could get it. You also did a really good job with the shading. Despite doing a bit of soft-shading, cel-shading, and no shading at all with certain areas, it all blends in very nicely.
Way to turn a simple Pokemon card into an exceptional wallpaper! Amazing job! :)" View

"Well, it's not hard to see that you wanted to make this wallpaper better than before. While I can't say if this is what AP will deem acceptable, your additions make a better case now than before. Great job with the background, as the wallpaper now appears to have a theme going for it. You also did well in carrying that theme into the title, and while I don't know the character, it seems to work. I also think that the character and the outline look more appealing than before. You've obviously taken some of the feedback to heart in order to ensure that you had a worthwhile wallpaper established.
Personally, I don't think I'm comfortable with telling you to submit this, seeing as how the consequences of having something deleted here are significant, and I don't want to be responsible for you having to deal with that. Even so, I see a wallpaper that wouldn't look bad on the desktop at the moment. It's clearly an overall improvement over the last version, and while it has a simple feel, the theme and execution of it is pretty solid, in my opinion. I say that with a little more feedback, you'll soon have your answer. Until then, nice work! :)" View

"I really wanted to like this wallpaper more, but I'm afraid I have to agree with the other comments here. The biggest problem with this image is that it's just too blurry. The actual lineart, text, and technique of this wallpaper is great, but it's hampered by the fact that it's all tougher to see than what it should be. It's disappointing, really, as I think this had the elements of a really good wallpaper, especially considering the emotion you were trying to create from the idea.
If you can somehow make this image quality better, and fix a few things with the words, making them easier to read, you'll have a wallpaper that I believe will be tough to ignore. You get points for creativity and effort, but the execution needs a little polish." View

"Well, I think you certainly have a good thing going with this wallpaper. I'll agree with you on the emptiness of the background, especially with the left part of the image. Since it appears that you're kinda headed in a vector-like direction, maybe some vector brushes can help that area out. Also, I think a texture or pattern for the pink background itself would help give the overall feel of the wallpaper a more active and pleasing vibe.
I'm also not terribly fond of the pink outline surrounding the character. I think I see where you were going with it, and while it doesn't look bad from a distance, it's somewhat a turn off in full-view. I think it would have a better effect if you blur it by just a tad, though. Still, I believe that this is one of those wallpapers that has some promise to it, and I like the fact that you're looking for help at such a moment. I hope my comments have been helpful, and I wish you the best of luck and success in finishing this. :)" View

"Overall, a pretty solid wallpaper. I think you found a nice screen cap to work with, and you put your vectoring skills to good use. The shading and coloring, in particular, are the highlights of the image, in my opinion. One small area that I like especially would be that drop of sweat/water on the face. It's cool how sometimes the small things make a significant impact on an image, and I think that was one of them. It's a bit of a shame that couldn't have been implemented in a few more areas, I think.
The one area I believe that could have been improved on would be the lineart. There are a few loose/unconnected ends, as well as an area on the fingers where a line appears to overlap by a tad. That said, the only real thing I dislike about the lineart would be that it lacks a bit of depth; I think the image as a whole would look even better had you been able to taper the solo lines towards the edges, sorta like what you see with the eyes. I'm not sure what program you're using, but I think it's still a possibility to correct that with the right resources.
Still, there are more I like about this image than I don't like, and that makes this acceptable in my eyes. The theme, character (Sakura lacks enough cool wallpapers, IMO), and the technique all show enough positive qualities, and it looks like you put a respectable deal of effort into this. Therefore, I think you deserve credit for your actions. Well done.
"I'm not going to lie to you. This wallpaper might stay on my desktop for a very long time. You've done a really good job of capturing the colorfulness and joy of the Super Mario games, while still having room to add your own flair to the project. Your background does a really good job of establishing the mood for this wallpaper, and the quality of the background itself is great. I thought a few areas of the lineart was a tad off, but I don't wish to take anything away from the sheer effort you've put into this, especially considering that you did this at such a large resolution to boot.
You also couldn't have picked a much better scan than the Raccoon Mario image, in my opinion, but I'm biased towards anything Super Mario Bros. 3 related. :P Still, it's extremely fitting for what you were intending to do. Overall, this effort of yours has put me in a slightly happier mood, and it's pleasing to know that such great results can exist with a little time, imagination, and self-expression. Very well done!" "I honestly like the approach here, but I think there's something you can do to make the wallpaper stand out a bit more. Heck, I would think we were talking about sports here, actually. This could be something you were going for, but I believe this wallpaper could use a bit more of an identity.
To get this, I just think you have to make this wallpaper acknowledge the fact that it's Death Note related. Whether that be with an appealing text design saying "Death Note" or something L likes to say, or with L or some reference of him fading into the background, I think would really add to the look and feel of the wallpaper. I think it would be even cooler if you could add something that only really dedicated fans of the series or character could pick up on (me not being one of them), especially if it was your intent to make this a mysterious kind of wallpaper.
