As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
"I agree aboyt the opacity changed shadow, mainly because it looks like most of her head is missing.
What I do like:
The background texture, the color of the light behind her, especially the "plant/flower" brush, and the one below her that looks like a flower. The scan quality is nice, and I like the light tendrils on the left, but the don't seem to fit in with everything else.
Now, is some of what's going on behind her a fractal? I'm not crazy about how the edge of the lower stroke breaks into pixels, especially since one of those pixels is randomly in the space between her and the text.
Something else that nagged me about this is for some reason the wall feels empty to me. And do something about the text, please. That font and effect just don't look right. I'd suggest trying to change is, or maybe change where it is on the wall, or perhaps leave it out altogether.

This is probably one of the most colorful walls I've seen in awhile, and the vector is stunning!
I'm curious, which parts of it are your friend's tattoo?
I am a bit disappointed that the lower res walls lack the texture, it really adds to the wall.

I agree that she doesn't blend very well, at least not once she meets with the grass. Her outer glow is fine until then, but once the grass starts, the glow makes it look like she's floating above the ground.
Aside from that, everything flows nicely. I like it.

I really love the super bright colors, and I think this would benefit by being a bit larger (1280x1024, maybe?) However, I HATE the text, it doesn't look right at all.

I think the bg looks fantastic, but the scans grainy-ness brings it down, which is really a shame as the scan and bg blend well together.
Could you somehow fix this scan, or find a larger version of it? I know that people are often quick to suggest vectoring a scan, but that isn't necessarily an easy solution.
If you can find a way to fix the scan, I see no reason why it wouldn't be accepted.
VP Miyu is one of my all time favorite anime series (the OVAs much more so that the TV series) so this wall fills me with all kinds of nostalgic feelings.
Maybe because I'm familiar with the series, but I immediately knew what you were trying to convey, so I don't think you failed in that respect at all.
Constructive criticism? Hmmm... All that I can think of is that some of the edges of the scan (the open edges of Miyu's yukata) have some jaggies, but that's hardly worth the comment. I really love the forest, I'm not really fond of grunge style, but here it fits perfectly; and as usual, you demonstrate your deftness at drawing.
