Really an EXCELLENT work!
The vectoring is very artistic - the lines, it's differencial colouring, the accuracy...
Then, the general color theme. Awesome! The text, the sun, the flowers. The pattern in the character's shirt. Lovely, lovely!
The only thing I'am not too found about it's the blue little spots. Unless you had an intention I didn't get... Anyway, I'm not saying I don't like them, note.

Zakuro-chan... I'm proud of you.
I mean, you have shown us great vectors, but this time, the original image was B&W... And it turned out SO well - the accurate lines, the colouring. Awesome! The wings you added yourself are pretty cool as well.
The colorscheme of the entire composition is really attarctive, lively, good.

Now, the other side of the coin.
First, I think some butterflies actually fit, but the BG looks busy and confusing.
The previous statements could refer to both versions you uploaded. But let's separate them: I totally think you should submit your version with the entire vector as a new wallpaper. Because it's a waste, IMO, to use only a part of the vector. Also, that way, the wallpaper breathes more properly. More pleasant, more "scenic" (if you know what I mean), more interesting - I like the secondary version much more, actually.


See? When I talked about "diversity" I meant something like this. Heh.



EDIT: I will alter 1 f the "suggestions" - rather uploading the 2nd version as the main, and the current main one, as an alternative. "

I really loved it! The so cool, stylish vector (just look at this glasses!)
...Love the color of his clothes, the use of the texture, the textual elements.
There's just a detail that botters me: the "bill" impression (or texture)! I think it's really unframed...

This wallpaper does make me feel relaxed, something like an "happiness"... Seriously!
Simple yet very effective and totally pleasant.
The character blends SO WELL in the background...
The only thing I could suggest is about the rays of light - some more of them, thinner, would give a most realistic and soft effect, I think.
Oh, I also enjoyed the text (font, color, placement).

Vector - very accurate, clean, skilled - as always!
The only thing I'd change here is the shinning seen in her eyes. I think it doesn't have the same clean, clear, smooth feeling the rest has.
Then, I can also say that if the color of the eyelashes was lighter (eg, brown), the face would look nicer - imo again.
Hehe, would totally fave it if the eye shinning were different...


Anyway, it's a very, very good, effective and adorable wallpaper.
