After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
HAHA awesome, as soon as I saw the title that's immediately what I thought of even though I had no idea that's actually what it would be! FMP:Fumoffu FTW!
"I don't change my wallpaper very often (like once every 3 months or so), but this is going on my desktop right now! What an absolutely stunning painting! The way you've transformed the black-and-white line art into this vibrant, beautifully composed scene is amazing." View

"Read the FAQ - specifically, the section on Wallpapers. The dimensions of this image don't match any screen resolutions. If I had to guess, I'd say you took a pre-existing image and just wrote your name at the bottom. That does not qualify as a wallpaper at Animepaper." View

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Maybe the BG is a little plain as there isnt really anything except a sky with clouds. But on a positive note, the focus gets turned to the characters, and i must say they look very cute in this wall.
Update: I have added a new alternate version that brings a little more visual intrest to the background and helps 'ground' the characters in the scene. See my top post for preview and downloads.

Wow same scan done by 2 people in a day!
Yeah, strange coincidence. I was like: "You have got to be kidding me", when I saw the other chap's version on the front page when I arrived to upload mine.
I thought I was going to be the first guy to vectorise that scan. Maybe if I hadn't taken 8 months to finish it I would have been first.

nice vectoring but the lines are a little too thick for my taste
StormFangs
I think the lines are to think for a close-up image like this
My aim was to reproduce the original scan as precisely as I possibly could. I think the heavy lines produce a good, solid contrast within the image. Here's a comparison GIF of the original scan and the wallpaper:
"This is a great composition. I think this has a lot of potential.
Although you explained that you had a reason for choosing a black and white colour scheme, I would still suggest that you add some colour into it to add further visual interest. You could possibly use a gradient map to add colour. It's very easy - Here's an example image:
(In Photoshop: Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Gradient Map...)
I'd also suggest vectoring the background as well. Doing so will help improve the consistency between the various areas of the wallpaper.
I really like this wall. In fact, I'd put on my desktop now if it had a 1680 x 1050 version. " View

"I can't help noticing that the Roxas scan you've used on the left of the wallpaper is quite low resolution. Unfortunately, the up-scaling is really obvious and it detracts from the quality. I looked through the AP scan gallery for a higher resolution version but, sadly, the only one available is nearly the same resolution as the one you've used here and probably won't meet your needs.
If you know how to, I'd suggest that you vectorise the scan. Either that or you could alter the design and layout of the wallpaper so you don't have to scale the scan up." View

"Thanks for the comments. With regards to text, I have to say that I am not particularly fond of any kind of 'slogan' or 'title' appearing in wallpapers. I know it's a fairly well-accepted style but my personal preference is generally not to have text on a wallpaper.
There are a few things I've noticed that need refining and/or touching up and I'll make those changes when I get the time." View

"The lighting on the character is more apparent in the original screencap. Some of that visual interest is lost in your version because you've made the colour of the lit area and the colour of the shadowed area too similar. I think you could improve this by maintaining the contrast that appears in the original screencap.
If you're up to the challenge, I think you could also improve the image by adding additional shading (especially in the hair). It'll require a bit of imagination because that level of detail doesn't appear in the original screencap." View

"Nice wall. :)
Just one comment - The honey-comb-pattern in the background goes partially over Syaoran's eyebrow, which I think detracts from his expression. I'd say the expressions are an important part of this wall." View
