"Alright, I'll try to help some. The shadow makes the character look very flat, which shouldn't be that obvious. Please either make the shadow much lighter or remove it altogether.
Quality of scan - I don't see the point in making a huge resolution when the source scan is already pixelated as perdition now. And there are still visible printing artifacts on her skin - see the yellow/pink stripes? These can be effectively removed by NeatImage. Demo exists that is enough. You may attempt to do a smart blur in PS, but it has a weak effect.
Extraction - you are leaving out inner corners, perhaps due to using the magic wand. There are also white edges on dark areas. Please use some other manual means of extraction, perhaps a polygonal lasso in this case to fix it, a magic wand is definitely not a good option.
Background - I'm not entirely sure how was this done, but if it's a straight stock photo of some curtain/bedsheet/actual wallpaper, it's not worked on enough. You need to come up with some kind of sophisticated decoration over that.
And in order to also properly help you, here is a super-HR scan you need to do this well.

You have likely duplicated the character layer to add some blur/contrast/feather/decay effect.
Now the edge pixels' opacity is no longer linear, it takes another characteristic. And the pixels show up!
Solution:
Have one master render that will hold the transparency mask (lock it) and everything that changes the colors on the render surface shall be joined using the Create Clipping Mask command. This way, the edge pixels won't get corrupted no matter what you do later." View
