After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "Hmm, not a big fan of Ayu, but here's a little what I think:
-Ayu needs some serious work to blend into the background. You can probably give a dark gradient overlay on top of Ayu or create some light on Ayu. I don't think adjusting the colours on Ayu itself would suffice.
-Not a big fan of starry night myself, but you might want to add more variations to the stars and brightness to them. As of them they are kind of stiff and there seem to be like 2 types of stars.
-Moon is good I suppose, although I think more variation to the sky dark blue colour would be good. Just plain gradient might be too simple.
-The tree branches need a few more colour tones. Especially the one on the right. It looks like it has only 1 colour and way too bland for now.
-Grasses are always a pain... I am not sure what are the best way to create them but I think the grass brush you used is probably a little too realistic compare to the background and Ayu? Not sure what to do besides changing brushes...

Anyway back to the wallpaper. It's amazing how well you cleaned the scan, it probably takes about the same effort to vector it. Initially I didn't really like the clouds behind much, not sure why but it looks over-epic? But after staring it for a while it looks better and better now :D. The only small gripe is probably the sea, it looks like a frozen lake somehow (or maybe it is?)
In any case, beautiful, beautiful wallpaper. Lacks a wee bit more of "ooomph" factor or it would have been a +fav from me." View
"The background's fine, not my type of style but it works for many people. More about the vector, in general it is decent but here are some nitpicks:
-You might want to give a little more detail (outlines/shadow tones) to her right side (our left side) of her hair (the part in dark purple). Actually it might be good if you can extend some of the outlines of her fringes as well. And if at all possible another layer of hair shadow would be even better.
-The small bang of hair on the right side of her head (our left side) needs to be more curvy, it kinda looks like it's shooting down straight like a knife.
-You might want to give full outlines on her mouth. As of now it looks like she's sticking out her tongue like :P
-Her eyes have eaten up the fringes, you can either let her eyes look a little transparent under the fringe, or let the fringe cover up part of her eyes (0 transparency), but you can't let the eyes cover up the fringes ><.
-You might want to make her eyeballs more circular. As of now there are parts that are a little angular. I am not too sure if its caused by the gradient colouring of her iris, but her eyes look just a wee bit weird.
-Her maid costume left frills (our right side) don't look flowy and natural. It feels like a box ><.
-There are various colour filling issues. Missed areas that turned out white, etc. Eg. Her left collar (our right side), just to the right (our right) of that collar that's a small white patch, her hair highlight going on top of the hair piece on her head, her right small bang of hair falling down, the darker shadow on her white part of her costume, etc.
In general I just think when vectoring you should pay attention to little small details, even though they aren't always noticeable, but when minor issues stack up, it will start to give bad feeling to the wallpaper as a whole." View

"Here's a little what I think, please don't feel irritated by them :):
-More outlines ><. Her ribbons, her hairpiece, the leaves, clothes etc should have more outlines. For now it looks like it's done hastily.
-Gradient colours are cool, although more shadows and details should probably be added to her hair, for now her hair is really bland.
-I am not sure if it's a curvature problem, but some of the stuff vectored don't look natural. Eg. her hair that's flowing down, almost all the leaves, the tree branches, her clothes (looks like a blob of red), etc.
-And it's Hikari no Rasenritsu :p (n is after se, not ri)

As suggested it would turn out a whole lot better had you not used path stroking... The lines can also be made less thick with the shape outlines method. I personally also don't like the random splatting around, probably because of her face expression, the wallpaper has a serious melancholy feel, and the splat kinda kills it.
A beautiful scene you have picked, although I think a little bit more stuff could be done to make it better:
-There isn't anything wrong in particular with the vector, although in a glance I think you can feel it is a little too simple/bland. Since this is a very close up shot on Akari, I think you might want to add in some details that the original screen cap doesn't have, adding 1-2 more hair shadows would help, giving parts of the colouring some gradient so it doesn't look too stiff, and maybe some more hair strands at the back of her head (right now it looks a little like durian ><).
-Clouds is cool, although you might want to give some variation to the colour of the sky. Gradient kind of works although they tend to look a little stiff, best is to paint a little or use some lighting.
-The roof thingie on top of Akari is also lacking some depth feeling...

Although there are several parts that I'd change a bit:
-Vector is beautiful, gradient colouring is cool although sometimes excessive gradient colouring can kind of kill the vector. As of now, some parts of her look too "glossy", which should have a more "matte" look, like her hair, her collar, and her "obi" (sash).
-Hmmm this is probably just taste but I think the tree, leaves and bushes a wee bit too spiky. Not sure if blurring out works, and they kind of lack depth as well. Take an example of the middle tree, the trunk of the tree, feels at the same depth with the bushes behind and around it.
But it's still a beautiful and pretty picture ^^ Best part is the sky, it feels calm and easy." View

In any case, what you can do is probably give them a light brown gradient on top of them, fade their lower bodies instead of cutting them, as of now Rin lost her lower body mysteriously ><.

You've got a pretty good base to work on (I think the look of her eye is pretty cool, and yes I am watching Shigofumi ^^) and I think if you'd take the time to vector her, paint a similar background, put a bit more focus on her eye and add some lighting, you can potentially make the nice wallie."
