After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"Yep I agree. The wallpaper is nice and works out as a wallpaper very good - you have lots of space yet a great image. I'd need a widescreen version and 1680x1050 if possible though :P.
The background is "too" real, BUT it's not a problem since we don't see anything anime-ish except the Silhouette (damn this word). Since the silhouette (yay for copy-pasta) is not filled we can't really guess the style - so the background works out pretty well.

If you consider vectoring it - there are lots of nice tutorials (especially a vector tutorial by Nysha) that explain the "magic" behind the vectoring quite well. If you'd like to create something extra-ordinary, you might want to try something unusual - maybe some shape- or effect combinations or fewer (or different) colors. You could also paint it, but that's VERY difficult to do.

I try to leave a helpful comment. I don't think the background fits her, because a scene like this could never really appear. The sky is way different perspective than she is .. she hardly can "stand" on the sky. You could have added "raindrops" so that it would seem that the sky is reflected - then it would work out and make sense.
Another thing is the poor cut-out. I don't want to sound rude, but the scan is cut out pretty bad. You didn't "cut" it, but just "masked" the background the scan originally had. Even though it's a pretty good idea (I've used this technique myself several times) you didn't take the time to do so properly.
The worst thing about the foreground (the girl) is, that you heavily blurred certain regions - and this simply doesn't go with a photo-frame-wallpaper at all. If you'd make some "mix"-composition, where you add magic-rays and stuff like this - it'd probably work out. Also - the contrast between the bright sky and the edges of the scan (which are dark) ruins it in my opinion.
I'm sorry, but I just thought I'll let you know what I don't like about this wallpaper. Maybe you can improve the wallpaper? If you do so - let me know and I'll tell you again what I think about it (if you care).

Well you did add shadows and shadings to the vector - hence you didn't really lose anything in terms of source quality. Therefore I think it really turned out well and the spare use of color really does mark this wallpaper :).

"Nice wallpaper :D. I love the two girls on there as well as the background. The bed-thingie they are sitting on has a more attractive color (red) than on the original scan. The wall behind them is okay - doesn't draw much attention and is simple, so that it doesn't look too busy overall.
"The girl in the foreground is awesomely vectored. I like the details and the quality a lot. The temple in the background however lacks some textures for the roof and the walls, though I believe it would have been too hard to add them.

awesome wallpaper. I like how the final result turned out. I already commented a lot on SZ on this wallpaper so I'm not gonna lose too many words. Nice lighting, the ribs look pretty cool, the fire looks amazing. You should however lighten Sasuke a bit up, because the fire is not solely "behind" him, but also in front of him.
":D nice. . funny yet easy, nothing more to say.. good job on "chibifying" the characters. The background is plain and reminds me of one of those old english books (or video tapes) where you just start learning english xD.
