While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

The work with the colors in the background is great! It gives a nice and warm look to the wall. The clouds blend very well with the rest of the wall. You did a nice job with the vectors too. "Nice concept you got for the wall. I think you should make a more fancy ornament. Given the title I suppose that "ornament" represents a raindrop that has just hit the ground (or something like that.. ^^) so you could give a bit more shape to it, some curves. I think the fact that the lines in the left have different length is good (if my interpretation of the image is correct... ^^) But I think you should try to balance the lines and the "ornament" because one is very sharp and thin, and the other is thick.
Something that bothers me a bit is that the text and the outlines of the characters look too sharp, jaggy. And in my opinion, the font chosen doesn't suit well with wall. I think a simpler font might work better. Sorry if I'm being too picky. Wish you good luck & work!!

"It's a very colorful and nice wall! The concept and composition is very good! Some flowers and some leaves edges look a bit too sharp in my opinion, though. But I agree with you sakuraneko, vectoring the scans would improve the wall because you can clearly see the difference between the slightly blurry look of the scan and the sharpness of the rest of the wall.
I don't see why you wouldn't be good at vectoring characters since you seem to be very skilled with Illustrator. It's a simple process.. it just requires a lot of patience, that's all! ^^
You probably know this already but if you want to check a tutorial on tracing, I suggest this one. For an advanced technique on vector coloring, I suggest you to check this thread, where Tama-Neko gives us a light insight on the mesh gradients tool on Illustrator. Hope it helps! ^^" View
