After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
"A Ito Noizi wall? Awesome. I love her work. I do like the concepts behind the wall, with the design-based urban brushes. But the wall is screaming to be vectored though, especially the bg. The wall is decent as is, but it's still obvious that it's stretched out.
All that said, I do really like the colors. You did a fantastic job picking out the colors, and thematically the wall is rock-solid. Good work :) But I know if you had a bit more time, you probably could have made this wall even more awesome." View

"'P.S.' stands for "post scriptum", or for the non-latin speaking folks "post script". It also stands for "playful seals", depending on who you ask =P
Great colors, and as always wonderful style with the characters. I'm not too fond of the texture over the character, specifically the textures over the dark lines and outlines since I'm a stickler for keeping outlines nice and consistent. But that's just me though.
Next time you might want to try alternating textures between different (or even within the same) objects. For instance, texturing the sky differently from the grass would give a nice contrast, and liven things up. Also, what's up with the weird resolution o_o
"You might be tired of it, but it's pretty clear that we all can't get enough of it :) I'm especially impressed that your first (?) time with a starry bg worked out so well. The simple bg fits well with your style, and the atmosphere is perfect.
As for blending, welcome to the difficulties of trying to blend vectors into non-vector bgs -_- You did a great job blending, with the soft glow in the bg matching the soft glow off of her. While the lighting might not make sense, it's not noticeable since everything looks so good.
And this is Sailor Moon. Lighting isn't supposed to make any sort of logical sense with all of their magical pixie dust or whatever they carry with them xD

"The Old Man thinks that there needs a bit more contrast b/w the colors. Also needs a bit more detail, but I'm sure the original scan didn't really have a lot of it. Adding a texture into the orange bg and having it contrast stylistically with the vectored yellow rays would have been a cool touch, and adding textures to the shadows on the towers would have made things more stylish.
But I'm sure that you're happy with being able to crank out a wall :) I sure am at least. Cute wall. " View

"Awesome wall, and the pastel-painted sky in the bg is beautiful. I've always wanted to make a music-inspired wall too, but I haven't been able to figure out how to. It look like you found the perfect way to do that, and do it scenically too to boot.
A couple critiques; The vector of Minerva is wayy too jaggedy on the edges. I don't know if you resized your vector or not, but if you did resize the vector before you merge it so it takes some of the jagged edges away. The other minor gripe I have is that I'd like to see more gradient and 'painting' on the vector, so it would better match the lighting and style of the bg.
"I your original walls. That said, let's get on to the critiques; The main thing here is that the wall is a bit too washed out. Because the colors are very dim, and the artwork itself is doesn't pop out stylistically, the texture suffocates the wall overall. The texture is basically a bit strong, and shouldn't be as overwhelming as it is here.
Darkening the lineart and backing off the strength of the textures will help in improving the clarity and focus on your awesome art work. Otherwise, everything else is awesome. I'm not a fan of how there's a ton of empty space around the artwork, but the unique-ness and the detail are enough to offset it.
"The Gilded Age is AUDHN;UWHEF;;237HANF boring. Best to memorize that chapter of the book, vomit it onto the test, and forget it. FOREVER. CUZ NOBODY CARES ABOUT THAT TIME.
Soul Eater is awesome. And Roy x Riza is friggen awesome as well, though i think Soul x Maka is more fun to watch. Also, LOL EXCALIBURRRR.
Your wall is stylishly awesome. My roommate (who you would love to meet i would think) is more into this kind of pop-vector art than I am, so I really can't say anything constructive other than GOOD WORK.
The 'cut' bits in maka's sweater are a bit too randomly placed for my liking. Take that out, and perhaps fancify the text a bit, then we're totally good to go. Whoops. I just said something constructive =X" View

"It's death by education in high school, but once you get to college it'll be death by education AND death by tuition. Be happy that your AP classes aren't driving you into the hole >_>
Soul eater is awesome, though it meanders a bit. But its screams "LOOK AT ME I'M SO STYLISH AND AWESOME HAHAHA", so it's a good watch.
Anyways, back to the wall. I personally use textures very lightly, or when they're a major part of my wall they're for support and the random-details that vectoring erases. Centering a wall around a texture is tough work, since you have to find the -exact- texture that doesn't cover too much, but at the same time has enough detail to make things look interesting.
Here, it looks like you found a decent aged-and-torn paper texture for the characters, but the wood texture doesn't fit this wall too much. There's a bit too much going on in the wall bg for the wood texture to really work, not to mention how the colors are really, REALLY saturated.
I see how you worked the elements in this wall, but it's a bit saturated for my tastes. And I also dislike wood textures, but that's just me. I do like the theme you have going here, and the torn paper texture that you used does work with that.
tl;dr, good work on the theme, needs work on textures and colors. But it's awesome to see a wall from you :)" View

"Heh.
I wonder why this wall looks familiar :)
Anyways, I'm sure you've heard tons from me on this wall. The overlay and texture work does hide a lot of the bad elements, but it does obscure the shadowing and some of the detail on the characters though.

"The background text does support the theme well, but personally i would like to see more 'perspective' added by making the text get smaller and smaller as it goes farther down the page. Also, the man looks like he's been stuck in a oven and melted lol. I'm guessing that the scan for the man wasn't so nice to you.
Interesting concept. I particularly like how the red thread stands out amongst the dark and drab colors. " View

"Lovely painting. One niggly little aspect I would have liked to see is for the wings to have the same detail as the character. Doing that would focus the piece as a whole better, as the wings blend into the soft bg a bit too much, giving it a rather incomplete look.
Otherwise, there's nothing that I really call a 'flaw' of any sort. The color composition is nicely done, as well as the layout. And your paint work is splendid. +fav" View

"A very nice vectoring job of the CLAMP character art :) The softness that you've added goes well with the crisp line art that you've vectored, and the blurred flowers in the foreground are very nicely made. My only gripe is that the eyes seem to be a bit overdone, with the overly bright light reflections. The right edge of the left eye also is a bit jagged instead of round as it should be. Overall though, you did a very good job. +Fav" View

"ARRRRGH. You never told me you didn't have Photoshop ;_;
With that aside, I absolutely love the vector work that you've done here. And I don't use the word 'love' lightly (look through my wallpaper comments if you must...i think it's like the second time in 2 years i've used it). The vector style matches the abstract and flowing bg very well, and the character coloring is saturated just to the right degree to complement the design.
Now, for the critiques. For one, I don't think the orange and yellow at the extreme ends fit too well. Those colors definitely need to be supported with similarly colored elements in the wall, or have more presence. The text is easily the weakest aspect of the wall, but having an eye for text placement and style only comes with experience and trying out tons of fonts.
As a word of advice for a future, when you have a sharp, abstract styled bg, try to avoid having things look blurry, and especially try to avoid using the glow on the normal or screen settings. The red wave design that has a glow stands out against the pixel-sharp effects in the bg, and makes it look blurry.
Overall, the colors and vector are very nice. It looks like you had fun going wild making the designs xD Your choice for an sharp abstract-styled bg is interesting, and not something that I expected. The problems here simply fall down to growing pains in walling, which you'll get over soon. You got vectoring nailed down :) +fav" View

"Overall you have a very solid design here, and almost every aspect is placed properly. The main issue with this wall, in my opinion, is that there needs to be more detail in the foreground. The grass and plants just look like filtered brush layers to me, which it shouldn't. The foreground needs some dynamic lighting in the form of highlights and shadows. The lack of lighting on the grass and plants is especially evident compared to the girl's hair, which has all the necessary detail.
Another little issue is the placement of the two birds on the right, which should also be detailed due to their proximity to the viewer. Otherwise, the layered mountains are realistically layered with different colors and the fog enshrouding the valleys are really well done. They sky supports the whole scene, and the colors are nice and vibrant. Good work on the wall, but there's still some things that need to be done." View

All the time that you spent on the hair really shows :) Everything in this wall works well, though personally i think crisp, vectored characters like what you have here don't blend that well with bgs that aren't equally as crisp. The bg is a tad too blurry and out of focus here, which is fine from a perspective viewpoint, but the contrast is rather jarring. Next time, a bit more definition and crispness in the bg would do well.
