Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
You're definitely got the technical aspects down. Now you need to master the design aspects. This wall is very well made, but there's a lot of empty white space that distracts the eyes. Focusing the viewpoint on the characters through making them more vibrant, repositioning the trees, or adding some bushes to emphasize the couple would have definitely made this wallpaper more memorable.
Great work with the wall ^^ The atmosphere is spot-on. All you need now is to master perspective and viewpoint. My advice is to look at photographs, and see how the photographers shape the photos through focus and position. +fav" View

"Awesome. I see your wall came out very nicely, even if you don't think so :) Even though you didn't create the drawing that you wanted, the end result is a very nice and colorful piece of art from you. The eyes have a lot of depth and detail to them, and the lighting texture in the skin and hair is superb. The shine from the lighting in the hair is something I'm particularly fond of :)
I wish my wall (which i'm STILL not finished with :( ) was this good. Awesome, awesome work. I guess if you still don't like what you've made, the popularity of your wall will cheer you up ^^ " View

Nice work. Style points for keeping everything nice and soft, though the outlines are a bit jaggedy and sharp, which kinda undercuts the soft colors and theme. Overall though, awesome work. Count me impressed.
"I've been waiting to see a good Odin Sphere wallpaper (the art in that game is amazing), and I guess I can stop waiting :) I'm actually disappointed that you used the clone and brush for the whole wall, and it is noticeable in a few places. But otherwise, you have made a very solid wall. You did a very nice job blending in the clouds and the sky, which i commend you for.

I see you took my suggestion on the street perspective :) Very nice vectoring, and you even took the time to try to add in some shadowing. Not too many people would try to make an all-out broad daylight scenic wall with this much detail, so it's awesome to see that you remade this wall. "It seems that winter is the popular time of year to take breaks :) Though I wouldn't be surprised if you do end up making a wall during the Christmas holidays xD I'm taking a break myself (kinda), and I feel with you on the stress.
You definitely have a undeniably awesome talent at vectoring artwork that normal wallers wouldn't even consider vectoring. You somehow take the soft, very smooth scan and give it your own vector magic. And the outcome is amazing. The background supports and contrasts the bright and vivid vector well, though I do get the feeling that during the making of the bg you decided to go with something tried and proven rather than something new and exciting.
As always, flawless work. +fav, and I hope you find time to work things out :)" View

But you know me. I can't end it there >_> I think some more detail would have been awesome, but unnecessary. Your vectoring rocks as it is, and the nitty-gritty details in the leaves and such don't really need to be there. What counted was that you did an amazing job vectoring, and you kept the outrageous-ness of the scene alive.

"I had no doubt that you can wall some amazing things, and it's walls like these that continue to prove my confidence in your works :) So, on to the critiques...
From a technical standpoint, your work is brilliant here. But I'm not too fond of the design path that you decided to take with this wall, changing it from a bright wall to a darker, moodier wall. The character pose, and the shadowing on the character just doesn't fit too well with the slightly vague lighting.
I know you had problems with the file size, but the sky is a bit of a let down compared to the tremendous amounts of detail in your vector and the foreground. If the lighting was more defined, or if you didn't do a night wall, then I think you would have hit perfection.
But all that was just me ranting =P Don't mind me. Awesome work, as always. +fav" View

Personally, I do prefer the more action-oriented original, but what you did here is fine as well. The level of detail in the vector is amazing, and I believe you had that many layers :) Nice work on the bg as well, getting it to match the vectors.

"Wow. This is definitely one of the more interesting walls of DtB. The very cartoony-emphasis of the vectors, and the thick lines are interesting, and it's nice to see that you matched the text with the style of the wall. It's very unusual to see such a cartoony scenic wall, but it works well here.
Some more detail or stars in the sky would have improved the wall, and i'm not too fond of how prominent the text is. But the wall is overall very nice :) Good work." View

"For a first 'real' vector, you did extremely well. I don't know what you meant by 'real', but it's evident that you're very good at vectoring. I particularly like how you kept much of the line art uniform and flowing, and your use of gradients is very well planned.
Overall, you have a very crisp, and clear wall. Other wallers might have been tempted to go overboard with the gradients, contrast, and colors, but you kept a very nice level of consistency throughout the wall. Awesome work :) I can't wait to see your next walls, if you're planning them. +fav" View

"With the moonlight, and the huge amount of glow/blur you used on the character, you definitely pulled off a ethereal, peaceful mood here :) For your first wall here, you did a pretty good job.
Your use of the stock images in the bg really make the wall stand out, but there's several things you need to keep in mind when making your next wall. Next time, for the foreground, you have to put some details there. Use things such as textures, plants, rocks, or just try to minimize the amount of foreground that is shown. With all that empty space, it really looks odd. The same goes with the moon. Take a stock photo of a moon, and then color edit and use a couple techniques to make it fit in the wall. The 'moon' you have here is a bit too bland, since it's just a glowing circle.
Also, it wouldn't hurt if you walled in a bigger resolution. It's not that important, but it helps :) Otherwise, you're heading in the right direction. The mood in this wall is clear, and the overall design of the wall is solid. Keep up the work, and don't be afraid to try out new techniques and walling styles ^^" View

"Probably the reason why you feel like something's missing is because the background is a bit empty. The original manga scan didn't have any landscape or buildings in the bg, but it wasn't as detailed as your vectors. Without any buildings or mountains and such in the distance, there's a lot in the wall that's lost. Thanks to the textures, the bg that you made here isn't too empty, but it would have been a lot better with buildings for the perspective and setting to stand out.
Otherwise, you've got a really solid wall here :) Your coloring is very well done, and I don't see anything wrong with your shading or lighting. In fact, I really like the different levels of shading on the warp/transportation smoke (?), and Fai looks line to me ^^ The line art is flowing, and not too thick or too thin. All around, a very nice wall. Keep it up ^_^" View
