This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Solid vectoring work. Like the mechanical looking window and background, very appropriate. Good work!"

"Interesting, I see you moved a way from the glowing effect and dimmed it down to just an ol' circular pattern. The musical notation is a nice touch and fills in the space just fine. Matching the color to the dress is great. Only issue is perhaps that the text doesn't quite stand out enough (the yellow parts), but it's fine to defer to the color coordination I guess. Good job!

Edit: Nice edit, the drop shadow on the text helps!"

"Yeah, much better without text... although now everyone's calling it a 'cracker' instead of a cookie. XD Maybe you should have subtitled the wall with 'wanna cookie?'. =Þ

MinstrelKnight has a point about doing outlines as shapes rather than lines; personally I try to do that with my vectors too, when I'm not feeling lazy. =X I know your vectors for vol 3 & 4 are already done, so just keep that in mind in future.

Good work!"

Anyways, congrats on getting your wall accepted, good work!"

"Looks real nifty, very good composition. Just one thing that irks me, the windows on the buildings should be reflecting the sky on this side rather than just letting the sky from the other side show through? Other than that, good job!"

"Lololol, I remember this scene. Cute, and pretty creative. =D Love the colors, not too keen about the blurring on the silhouettes, and the ground seems to be sunken down in the middle?"

"You've done it again, man. This is... *awesome*. The colors are beautiful, and althugh it's got a totally different feel from your other Deedlit wall, this is no less impressive. Only shortcoming, like Shinn said, I also think that the forehead looks kinda bulging too. Otherwise, great stuff!"

"You're most welcome. I must really hand it to you for putting in so much effort - this wall has been so dramatically transformed from the first version to what it is now. It's simply amazing. The vector work was solid to begin with, and you've managed to meld your original concept with others' suggestions to create this wonderful wall. Excellent job. *pats back*"

"I was just rewatching the series, and this wallpaper came to mind - I realised it was quite strange that Ayane would be using an imitation gate of wind on the mobile phone because 1. she hates that gate and 2. she doesn't need an imitation gate for that.

Just a passing thought. ;b"

Festa del Boccolo

"Very pretty wall, but there are a couple of things I feel could be improved:
First, her feet - they should look a bit compressed because of the refraction in water. You know how a straw looks bent at the point it enters a glass of water, when you look at it from above the water surface?
Also, the horizon line could be blurred some, it's too sharp for something so far in the distance - the perfect sharp straight line between water and islands seems quirky to me.
Other than that, very beautiful scenery, good work!"

"This totally rocks. It's got one helluva camera angle, the scan, and you've managed to make it work. Great job on the feathers, they really add a sense of depth to the wall. The colors and the scan combine to create quite an atmosphere - it's tather dark, different from all the other bright-airy-sky-blue walls of this series. My only gripe is I can't read some of the text very well. Fantastic work!"
