StellarXInochi's wallpaper is a beautiful piece of art combined with excellent design and an outstanding concept. The soft, yet bright colors create a fairytale-like atmosphere, and the water-color-like execution meets a successful typograhy and makes the wallpaper something special.

"First Wall! Nicely done. And contrary to what's been said, the color of the train is not weird at all. Also, if that's a vector it's a well done vector. I'm wondering what's next from you?" View

"I just petitioned this one to be highlighted. There's almost too much depth in this. The only quibble I have with it is the ceiling is too clean. In a room, the only part that doesn't get regular cleaning is usually the ceiling.

"About the so called "blur" and questioning the quality. People really need a better background in photography. This wall shows what WOULD happen if one used a slow shutter speed while taking a photo from a jet moving between 350 to 761 MPH (MACH 1). The foreground (the cockpit) being stationary, would be clear, while the background (the ground, sky, the enemy jet) would be out of focus due to either the forward motion of the Jet number 1 or the rotation and turning of jet number 1.
Now, a photographer in the backseat of this jet would need to decide if he wants a crystal clear (High shutter speed) shot of the action, or a more dramatic shot (slower shutter speed) that shows there is real action. A crystal clear shot would be nice, but wouldn't necessarily show that there is action going on at all. My SLR (a canon EOS) has a function on it where you can capture the best of both world in one shot, snapping the same frame of film twice, once with the crystal clear, high shutter speed then again with a slower shutter speed.
This wall looks a lot like the shots taken with that function. It's effectively a "sports event" shot, one that can be duplicated to varying degrees of success with photoshop's "motion blur" effect. Yeah, it's a filter, but it's filter designed to duplicate something that can be accomplished with an SLR camera.

"O, this is nice. It actually looks more like you drew it with a tablet than a vector. It's also nice to see a closeup like this once in a while rather than full body shots. Do a 1440 x 900 version and I'll be happy! :D
Something else to mention here. It's not alwasy easy to balance color in a vector. Even though photoshop will let you sample colors down to a pixel, it doesn't always get exactly the color you need. And even then you can have problems getting the colors in what amounts to TWO vectors at once in the same paper to balance. (like trying to get your paints to mix the same the next time you pick up a brush) You seemed to have gotten the right balance here to not jar the eye.
"Ok, this get's props right up for being in a widescreen ratio. :)
Now, I'm not usually a fan of dark walls, but the monochromatic color scheme here gives a sense of longing... a deep dark sensation that real distance and sorrow causes. It also feels like a passionate longing. Someone who desparately needs that other someone.
I also like the multiple textures used here. Nice Job. " View

"This thing looks apocalyptic... I wouldn't want this on my computer desktop, I'd rather have it as a print on the wall. You should consider getting this one printed up large scale as a poster or something. It's one of those things that everytime you look at it you get a different impression." View

"Those eyes! Those eyes! =)
I can tell that the background isn't a stock photo. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do clouds, so I'm surprised anyone would just assume it's a stock photo. But even if it was a stock photo, that wouldn't be a sticking point. I haven't seen eureka 7, but this wall makes me want to, which I think is the highest compliment you can pay an animewallpaper. This guy looks like he's serious... About EVERYTHING.
The work on the vector is extremely fine. Best of all here is the fact that it doesn't look like a vector, but rather like a scan of a pen and paper work. The highlites, midtones and shadows look like they have been worked by hand (although there's a few places that looks like it's doctored a bit, not picking nits).
Like I said, it makes me want to see the series. Good job." View
