"I liked the thumbnail when I first saw it and liked the wallpaper even more when I full-viewed it. I think you did a good job with creating an atmosphere, the part I like most is the contrast between the pink and purple colors. You really made the vector stand out and I don't think the background is lacking anything.
However, maybe you'd like to try refining the stars a bit (I assumed they're stars because they get cut off near the mountains). This tutorial is quite easy and you'll have lovely results.
Second, the rope (?) that ties the curtain is kind of distracting, the yellow doesn't really blend in with the rest of the elements. Maybe you can make it darker?
Nevertheless, I like your work and I'm happy I've found my next desktop ^_^ Keep up the good work!

"I agree with ~xXxtsubasaxXx on the font issue; you should try using Drop Shadow instead of Stroke, it looks softer and you won't have problems with visibility either.
I like how you made the character more contrasting, leaving him like in the original image wouldn't have had a pretty good effect on the overall work. However, I suggest you make the background lighter towards the bottom, to blend the char better, because now it looks like he's just standing in front of a panel or something.

My main concern would be the same as ~ala21ddin21's, I realized that the main image was covered up by icons when I set it on my desktop. Though, if you were to move her to the other side, I'm not sure it would look that good.

"This wallpaper is simply amazing. Kaname's eyes look very cold and heartless, I love the feeling of hopelessness comprised of Yuuki's expression as she looks back to him. Yuuki's eye looks a bit strange, but it's understandable, judging by the tiny, low quality manga scan you used.

Those clouds look really amazing! They really are the focal point, and scenic walls usually have clouds so naturally they'd be the most difficult thing ._. But you pulled it off really well, I'm impressed!
Only thing that bugs me is the girl's eyes, they kind of look too sharp and draw attention (black against pastel colors), but I can live with it ^_^ I know what saving for web when you have a lot of layers is like.
