This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"I like this mostly for it's uniqueness and how well it captures the style of the anime/story. The focus is done really well.

"Very clean and excellent work on the vectoring and extraction. My only slight suggestion would be to add a few more skyfish to the background (behind Eureka) just to help add a bit more depth and make it seem she is more in the midst of the skyfish."

"Nice BGC wall. It's nice to see something different for BGC (as DaBilly says). It looks good, but it might look a little better if you clean up the scan a bit (not necessarily vector just some of the hints used in the "scan cleaning" guides floating around). I really like the background though and Priss fits in well. Good job."

"I like the layout and the colors used. I like the roughish manga style with the larger more polished drawing. How were the pictures originally laid out? I'm curious because lots of us use odd dimensions (15" PB = 1280x854 -- try finding that resolution regularly)."

"I like the coloring and I especially like that you didn't try to fit the entire character into a widescreen wall - extending past the frame is used well (usually is on your widescreen walls). The only thing that is just a tiny bit off for me is that the star is close enough to her hand that it looks like she is holding it (at which point I loose a bit of the depth) - it is absolutely nothing that detracts though -- just a preference thing. It's an excellent wall.

PPD: Lolikon City

"I like both versions but prefer the orange because Becky seems to be part of the background more than the blue one does (probably due to the lighting color in her hair as hamstersanonymous mentioned earlier). Excellent parody though and it fits so well wit PPD as a theme on it's own that it's even more perfect!"

"I like the bright character with the dark suroundings and the layout does kind of remind me of a game setting. The only minor issue is that due to the magic ring being the only light source, the lighting on the character doesn't quite match up, but that is easily overlooked (kind of hard to control a scan's lighting/shadows to exactly match a concept). Lovely wall. +Fav"

"Really, really nice work. Some of the best vectoring I've ever seen - it's obvious you spent a lot of time on it. The design and layout are very well done. The only thing that detracts from it for me is the blood splotch/drip. I like the targeting reticle (especially the use of the title in it), just not the blood."

A Digital Revolution

"Excellent. One of the only times "glowing edges" actually seemed to work out in a useful way. The crisp lines in the background mixed with the haziness of the girl really give this a "in the digital world" type of feel and provides the needed depth to tie her in with the rest of the background. The flares/sparkles (another tool considered "amateur") really work here as well to help tie things together. Exceptional.
The only item I see that could possibly be a detractor are her buttons: they seem overly bright compared to the rest of the character and even match in brightness the flares/sparkles. That's such a minor thing though. A seriously well done wall. Excellent work.

"The styling and coloring are what I find most compelling. This is an often used scan and you have managed to breath some new life into it. The background texture is cool and contrasts really well with the textured clothes and super smooth skin. Very nice.

"I like the concept. It seems just a little bland for my tastes (probably just a personal coloring preference), but overall I like it. Maybe adding a few more books (especially with open pages) would help to spice it up a bit?"

"The color tones are really great. I like the calmness I feel when looking at this wall. I'm going to agree with the previous post about the font/text though ... I understand what you were going for, but it just seems a little out of place. Maybe lining it up a little bit more and moving it to a less conspicuous location would help with that minor detractor. Still worth a fav though. Good job."

"Very nice. I like the bright wings contrasting with the dark trees and how the wings are the same color and blend with the clouds. The detail in the water (can't tell exactly what that is ... looks like vines) was a very nice touch as well. The tattoos were a good idea to "personalize" the scan (hope you don't mind if I file that one away for future use...). The only detractor for me is the moon/planet in the background -- i seems to be teh same transparency as the clouds so it is hard to tell which is in front of the other (planet vs clouds) so it just seems to blend a little funny. The little wavy dots in that same area seem a little unnecessar as well (how do they relate to the rest of the wall?). Both things are terribly minor and completely up to artistic interpretation though. Again, very good job on this wall.

A Thousand Years of Snow

"Beatifully done. I really like the mix of feathers, birds, and snow -- You don't really notice it until you *look*. About the only thing that throws it off a bit for me is that the background is from one viewpoint (above looking down or strait on) and the character is from a different viewpoint (low looking up). It doesn't change how nice the wall looks, only for me does it keep the character from fully integrating into the rest of the background. It is in no way a detractor though from how well put together this piece is. You obviously put a lot of work into it. Great job.

Left Behind

"This is really well composited. Everything about it looks very crisp and clear. Very well thought out. The only issues I see are with the floorboards to the left of Rukia where the lines for the boards and the wood sworl don't seem to be quite in perspective with the rest of the floorboards -- I know you worked hard on those! Also, a very minor issue with the text where some of the smaller black text gets lost in the black lines of the background. I think it is an excellent piece, and maybe just a little tweaking can help. It is exceptionally layed out though and the colors are perfect! Good work!"
