This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"Awesome. I never expected you to take this turn when you were talking about the original concept; I'm glad you took a turn and decided to go 3D after all.
First off, I love the colors you used. They blend with the starscape so well, and make the wallpaper really stand out more. I also enjoyed the ring around ;_;..OH GOSH WHY. THIS WALLPAPER MAKES ME BAWWW.
Though, I wish the ring was a little more distinct-looking, like the rest of your shiny swirls. Kind of looks blurred like that..I've also mentioned this already, but the bottom of the legs kind of look awkward to me when you place her like that. I think it's because there's no shadow there, and I'm just expecting it to be darker under her. But yeah, that'd be weird in a starscape, so..I don't know. (So, I'm curious. Is she the planet? Because then that would just make a whole lot of sense--or maybe that's a horribly obvious statement..)
