After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! I think the moderators and administrator will accept your wallpaper to the main gallery. The only problem i saw here (because i havent see the series) is this wallpaper might be a something called 'fan art'? I'm not sure, because i cant find any scan looks like this on the scan gallery D': is it my stupidity or not =___=
anyway, your main (i mean the one you submit here) is great, but its just too empty. I like the other version, the one with the blades and blood, but i think its position is not right there.. I'm not quite sure where should you put the blades, but maybe you want to try to put it in front of the character or put it on her back? Or alternatively, you can paint a scenic background.. maybe something like she is sitting on a room, and then you can see mountain, forest, or river through the window on her back? :'D this is just a suggestion tho~ and if you want to make an 'abstract' wall, you can play around with text (and fonts!) so your wallpaper wont looks boring xD hope this suggestion helps! 8DDD pssh you have a great painting skill xD" View

the sky's quality is just too poor x___x i saw many pixel thingy on the entire sky o: and it looks bad x___x dont just use photoshop filters! ;___; because it looks super bad, and super low quality and your wallpaper screams 'i only use photoshop filter because i'm lazy' o: dont use smart blur, because it doesnt fixed anything =___= use blur/gaussian blur with 0.5-1 amount. or maybe if you really want to work and want to submit this wallpaper to the main gallery, use smudge tool. this is what i called painting, actually... >] but no, no i'm not told you to paint the wallpaper, just blend the elements more nicely, blur some things and make it looks more high quality.
The gradation look weird, how about extract the cloud image (before you use the smudge tool or blur thingy!) and use your gradient tool to fill the sky? the blue color looks nice already~ its just.. the poor quality x__x
as for the sun... make something more anime-ish, maybe? make a round shape with either shape tool or marquee tool, and then fill it with yellow/orange-y color :3 and then use the effects you have there to make it looks shiney >3 change the layer mode to overlay or soft light, you choose.
The scan extraction needs more work, i saw many white background everywhere o___o and after you extract the scan, select the whole layer (ctrl+click the scan layer) and then apply the feather function, use 0.3-0.5 amount of pixel.
The text... doesnt fit the wallpaper very much, remove it! o:
the grass is too photoshop brush-ish. the colors is already okay, just maybe you need to blur it a bit, make it not too photoshop-ish. smudge tool again? xDD or smart blur + smudge tool :'D you can choose your own 'bluring' style :'D

what i saw from this wallpaper (on the first sight) is pattern only. You should remove some pattern, because it looks so busy. The wallpaper, i mean. I understand why the administrator and moderator reject your wallpaper. From my point of view, you are not do a big job, here. All you do is just extracted the scan, add the orange-y thingy, and put patterns on the orange-y thingy and the background. You should give some more work and details on your work! :3 and i recommend to change the signature. make zodicus.animepaper.net instead of deviantart, btw :'D
my suggestion is to change the whole background, and remove the desaturated thingy. make it looks more colorful and focusing on the scans. the one you should desaturated is the background. Maybe put the character on the middle of the wallpaper? and then maybe change the background to makes the 'opposite' feelings more stronger, like use a different color for the right and left side? :3 i never saw gankutsuou before, i dont know much about this series and its style. but since the scan already have much pattern, maybe you should remove or reduce the pattern opacity for the background (if you still wants to use it :'D)

Photoshop's filter is not good! >____< you should combine it with another photoshop tools or filter. because it looks... (in mean language) ugly. >___< why dont, after you filtering the background, give it a blur touch with either combining the blur filter and smudge tool, or reduce the filter to about 60-70% and smudge it :3
the extraction still needs more work... use feather function with 0.3-0.5 pixel :3 and fix some of the scan, because i saw some of the scan is transparent, and some of the scan still have white background o:
the effect you use for the wind thingy is not too good, change the layer to either soft light/overlay, and put it behind the scan~ and btw, that pixel thingy is ugly XD (again, another mean word +____+)
last, the text is too blindeyyy even for me (i have a daaark monitor) XD and the 'aria' text extraction needs more work too :3

as for the background, i was shocked when i first saw the background. you are using only photoshop filter for the mountain and the grass/land there? o___o (it was originally a photo, right?) you shouldnt do that Dx< maybe you can use smudge tool (the fastest way!) to make it looks anime-ish, or vectoring it (the slowest way). Just one suggestion, dont just using (photoshop's) filter(s) for the background. it screams i'm a noob! >]
the sun doesnt match the background and kinda weird since its kinda anime-ish and the rest is real-ish XDDD
the clouds... i suggest you to either paint it and see for some tutorials here, or smudge it for fastest way and not-too-noob-ish way :3
and the birds are too big and too blurry D: make it smaller, and then duplicate the layer, set the first layer to overlay, and set the second layer (the duplicated one) to normal with 20-30% opacity :3

let's start from the background >x] ooh compared to the scan, the background is kinda too blurry x___x which is kinda bad (at least for me). the shadow is quite nice, altho i'm not really sure if the reflection is perfect x] it looks a bit weird for me tho, maybe you should change the diagonal line? :'D
next, the scan :'D your vector is nice, really! 8D its quite clean :] so i wont comment on your scan xD
but, for overall, your wallpaper looks too monotone, maybe you should add some more colors on the characters, since everytime i saw sola wallpaper i saw colorful wallpaper >] (as long as i remember xD) but seriously, it needs more color :'D the sepia tone makes it looks boring =___=
the character position... maybe you should move her somewhere else :3 I think it doesnt fit the background D': i dunno where should you put them, actually, but maybe the weird thing is because she is so big xD for that background :3

i dunno what/which part needs a really big work.
your extraction still needs more work, and you need to change the scan's color and clean it, so it wont looked too 'manga-scan'-ish. The shadow looks too bold and a bit too blurry. Use layer mask and add a gradient on that mask, remove some part of the shadow :3 A shadow shouldnt looked like that imo :'D
And if the characters have shadow, then you should make one for the wall (and its windows!) This is not the perfect composition for a scenic wallpaper ;___;
that one *pointing at the ornaments near the floor* needs more works too. I dunno if its extraction that is not really great, or it doesnt blend nicely with the wall... you'll know the problem itself, i hope :'D
the text is kinda doesnt really match the feeling, change its font! :3 and remove the stroke... if you use photoshop, of course :3

the clouds are too realistic for an anime, smudge it with smudge tool (if you used photoshop) O: plus the birds are too brush-ish, that makes the sky looks weird... 3 different style on the sky makes it looks not really great... make a sun is not too hard as i know, but i cant give you a suggestion, sadly ;___; try to experience more things >] *remove that lens flare thingy!* and maybe add some more clouds? :3 (pssh remove the clouds on the bottom one, near her foot, it looks weird xD;;)
and then... the grass are too brush-ish.. add more shadows on it, and change its color too i think :3 it'll make it looks better (i think xD;;) plus, it looks kinda blurry too... o: i dunno what should you do to change the blurry thingy except to find a bigger brush :'D

err... i think the stars are too many xD;; remove some...
And that one *pointing at the left side of the wallpaper* what is that lines for? remove it because it makes the wallpaper looks bad.
Change sora's color to a blue-ish color... if you used photoshop, duplicate the background's color, and then put another layer on top of sora's layer :3 and change the style to color burn/soft light maybe? :3 just find a style that fits the wallpaper ;D

(in mean language) ugly. >___< why dont, after you filtering the background, give it a blur touch with either combining the blur filter and smudge tool, or reduce the filter to about 60-70% and smudge it :3the extraction still needs more work... use feather function with 0.3-0.5 pixel :3 and fix some of the scan, because i saw some of the scan is transparent, and some of the scan still have white background o:
the effect you use for the wind thingy is not too good, change the layer to either soft light/overlay, and put it behind the scan~ and btw, that pixel thingy is ugly XD (again, another mean word +____+)
last, the text is too blindeyyy even for me (i have a daaark monitor) XD and the 'aria' text extraction needs more work too :3

"I have no mean to be a 'mean' person or what, but if you try to submit it, maybe you'll get rejected x___x (i have see this type of art before, but i kinda forgot x___x)i mean, you dont even know where this is belong to (which category, i mean).. and it seems that you didnt put many works on this wallpaper ;___;
the scan still looks too blurry and low quality. smudge those ugly pixels! >___< with smudge tool, or maybe you should vector it, if you want... and i suggest you to vector it actually, if you want to keep the background simple like that.
btw, the background looks way too empty, and too simple. θDioma call it : "abusing simplicity" simple doesnt mean like this =___= this is called no big work, its not a simple wallpaper :3
I actually want to tell you to change the background, but for an abstract background, i cant suggest you anything, except to put more works on the background. maybe add some swirls or border? (if you want to make something abstract, please remove the shadow because it looks weird >x]) sorry, i dont know what kind of wallpaper you want to make D': but i hope some of my suggestion would help~ good luck!"

as for the background, i was shocked when i first saw the background. you are using only photoshop filter for the mountain and the grass/land there? o___o (it was originally a photo, right?) you shouldnt do that Dx< maybe you can use smudge tool (the fastest way!) to make it looks anime-ish, or vectoring it (the slowest way). Just one suggestion, dont just using (photoshop's) filter(s) for the background. it screams i'm a noob! >]
the sun doesnt match the background and kinda weird since its kinda anime-ish and the rest is real-ish XDDD
the clouds... i suggest you to either paint it and see for some tutorials here, or smudge it for fastest way and not-too-noob-ish way :3
and the birds are too big and too blurry D: make it smaller, and then duplicate the layer, set the first layer to overlay, and set the second layer (the duplicated one) to normal with 20-30% opacity :3
the pixels thingy all around the wallpaper looks bad too! >____< remove them! >3
anyways, actually you have a nice concept :3 the scan quite match the background (75%, i should say or at least for me) all you need to do is give some more attentions for the background! Good luck!"

"Well, i dont know if its only me (and my dark monitor) or not... but your wallpaper looks kinda too dark o:let's start from the background >x] ooh compared to the scan, the background is kinda too blurry x___x which is kinda bad (at least for me). the shadow is quite nice, altho i'm not really sure if the reflection is perfect x] it looks a bit weird for me tho, maybe you should change the diagonal line? :'D
next, the scan :'D your vector is nice, really! 8D its quite clean :] so i wont comment on your scan xD
but, for overall, your wallpaper looks too monotone, maybe you should add some more colors on the characters, since everytime i saw sola wallpaper i saw colorful wallpaper >] (as long as i remember xD) but seriously, it needs more color :'D the sepia tone makes it looks boring =___=
the character position... maybe you should move her somewhere else :3 I think it doesnt fit the background D': i dunno where should you put them, actually, but maybe the weird thing is because she is so big xD for that background :3
and you need to use another font and make it looks a bit transparent. Use (if you use photoshop) soft light layer blend mode or overlay :'D

"Well... please forgive me if my comment sounds mean D':i dunno what/which part needs a really big work.
your extraction still needs more work, and you need to change the scan's color and clean it, so it wont looked too 'manga-scan'-ish. The shadow looks too bold and a bit too blurry. Use layer mask and add a gradient on that mask, remove some part of the shadow :3 A shadow shouldnt looked like that imo :'D
And if the characters have shadow, then you should make one for the wall (and its windows!) This is not the perfect composition for a scenic wallpaper ;___;
that one *pointing at the ornaments near the floor* needs more works too. I dunno if its extraction that is not really great, or it doesnt blend nicely with the wall... you'll know the problem itself, i hope :'D
the text is kinda doesnt really match the feeling, change its font! :3 and remove the stroke... if you use photoshop, of course :3
the idea is already neat, you just need to pay attentions on details! Good luck! :3"

and then... the grass are too brush-ish.. add more shadows on it, and change its color too i think :3 it'll make it looks better (i think xD;;) plus, it looks kinda blurry too... o: i dunno what should you do to change the blurry thingy except to find a bigger brush :'D
the scan's extraction needs more works too :3 (or maybe give it some blur feeling) because i saw some of the part doesnt blend nicely with the grass...
and maybe add flowers or animals? :3 your wallpaper looks kinda empty tho... ;___; and maybe rocks? xD

And that one *pointing at the left side of the wallpaper* what is that lines for? remove it because it makes the wallpaper looks bad.
Change sora's color to a blue-ish color... if you used photoshop, duplicate the background's color, and then put another layer on top of sora's layer :3 and change the style to color burn/soft light maybe? :3 just find a style that fits the wallpaper ;D
