After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "Overall, good vector! The room looks quite royal. Oh, haha, I noticed that there is moonlight on the floor. The room is too bright for the light of the moon to be shining through!
Their hair look really good with the minimal outlines, but I think the characters would look a lot more solid and less flat if their skin and his jacket had more long outlines, or more so if those areas were completely outlined. And I think if the characters have thin + minimal outlines, the background should be the same. In this case, I'm just talking about the curtains. They look a bit thick compared to the characters. The shininess of the curtains is kind of taking attention away from the characters too, hehe.
Now this is entirely my opinion, but I think the scene is boring. Despite the detail, the two are just standing there staring at us. In the original scan, they fill the space nicely and since they are big relative to the empty background, I focus on the emotion of the characters, but now that they're in a room and there is a lot of space, the characters lose their effect on me. When I'm viewing the full size, all I can see in my browser is their head to their bust and the window with a little bit of curtain. I think that looks a lot more interesting because the characters are big and their faces are speaking to me again. I think I sound creepy X)" View

I think she would blend into the background better if there was no gaussian blur effect on her, because the background is nice and clear. I see that there is a thick pink outline on the petals. Thin and darker outlines would make them look more elegant, like the way the girl is vectored. The thickness also makes the petals look blocky and that also contrasts with how the girl is vectored. And lastly, I think the flow of the petals need to be more randomized 8)" View

He is Tetsu!! Comparing how he looks to the other pictures of him when he's older, this has got to be Tetsuuu! Lol, anyway, I totally love the colors and the design. The vector is also awesome! However, there's something about the butterfly that I don't like. Perhaps it's too big or maybe not solid enough? Or too thick @~1@? I also feel that the area by his collarbone is too busy and would have preferred just to see his skin X)

For critique, I think the left side looks a bit empty. To better balance the two sides, I think the text should be moved to the left some more, and that the floral brushes should extend to the left side (and basically line the bottom of the wallpaper).

"It's sure windy in the library XD Anyway, good job on such a detailed vectored! It's just a bit sharp/jagged in some areas at the largest resolution. And there is a problem with the way Patchy is colored. She is in a fairly warm colored room and it looks like the sun might be low (or there's candlelight), but she is colored entirely with purple tones, so it looks like the warm light is not hitting her at all. Instead, she looks like she should be in some kind of darkish or misty place. I think she would look more like she's actually sitting in the library if the shadows on her were warm, especially her skin!" View

"Looking at this makes me feel nostalgic! I think it's because it's been a while since I've seen a magical girl (in this kind of art style) wall that I liked. I really like the placement of the girl and the way she stands out of the background while still blending in. The effects add nice motion to the wall! And the colors are lovely~ I just think the tears shouldn't be so perfectly circular and white. Maybe sparkles would match more XD

I also like the vectored hair and the way it is colored, though the painted ear sticking out of it looks somewhat awkward to me because it's fully painted. The face has vector-ish eyes and the painting on the skin seems to be smoother, so it matches the way the hair was done more than the ear.
And while I see that the character you are portraying is supposed to have white skin, I don't think his skin should be tinted blue. Actually, I just think that it should be a different color from his clothes. The way he is colored right now (mostly blue) makes him look like a statue, especially since the columns are tan and the sky and ocean are different types of blue. I know this would take away from your concept, but I feel gray columns would be better, because the warm color looks out of place. I think it's an art rule that we can't have one part of a painting that is completely warm and the others be completely cool. We also have to put colors that we have in one area to other areas as well, so that everything seems whole. If the character is to stay colored the way he is, then more of the color that is used on him should be used in the background. If not, there should be more variation in colors on him (more warm), but the background and him should share the same hue (I actually don't know what I'm talking about). There should be other ways to make him look cold without having to use only cool colors, hehe. Oh, and about the columns, I don't think a Japanese looking man matches the western architecture XD But anyway, it's great that you're trying something new and doing a more scenic wall!
