I colored it, so it is deliberately grainy, and all the scratches and miscolored parts are also completely deliberate. i know most people like clear and crisp images; i do too, but not when i make wallpapers. ^_^ And yes, i understand it's noisy, but i like noisy wallpaper.
just for my own desktop, i'm pretty much happy personally how it turned out already, but i do want to share this wallpaper, so i think it would be worth it to change a few things so that it could be accepted in the gallery. i mean, it's a bit of a waste to make 50+ layers of effects and color and tone and just keep it for yourself. so, let's put it this way for anyone else who wants to help - say i take out the background. i can make a separate wallpaper out of that. what background would you suggest? the detail is amazing, with fur and the snowflakes and even the whiskers. i like how you can see just a bit of teeth, it gives the feel a bit of an edge. the original picture on minitokyo struck me as kind of sad, but your version has a certain fierceness to it; down but not out, kiba's expression seems to say.

i think it looks great. my only complaint is that mirelle's expression somehow doesn't seem to match the over-all mood of the background. she looks almost like she's smiling, and i personally find it a bit off. the only other i don't like about it is that it's a noir wallpaper. i find noir kind of boring, but at least i liked the art of it.

"Personally, i love texture in my wallpaper, and i think you were right to leave some of the grain in. it gives the wallpaper a wonderful feel, almost dreamlike. it kinda reminds me of the illustrations i have in some of my old storybooks from when i was a child ^_^. also, i like how you arranged the text, it adds to the dreamy feel. the glass orbs help with that too, but i think it would have been better if they were clear, i mean transparent. still, they're very lovely. one thing, though; the man standing behind the woman looks a little awkwardly placed to me. maybe it's because their clothes are both black, but it almost looks like they're overlapping. still, if we're going by the logic of a dream, i suppose that can work ^_^ anyway, it's not that big a deal. great job. i'm adding this to my favorites. it's hard to make out kosmos in the picture before you download it, but the whole thing looks great fullsized. i like the shades of color in it. i suppose a lot of people would find it busy, but for me, busy is good. i don't like empty wallpapers much. the swirls are maybe a bit overdone, and like i said, kosmos is not as prominent as one might expect but other than that, i have no real complaints.

i really like the font (it kinda makes me think of rainbow brite) and the sushi, too. heck, i don't even care that i don't even like yami no matsuei. i didn't even realize that the scan was from that series; it's a lot more cheerful than the kind of gloom and doom (and angsty bishy slashiness) that i tend to associate with the series. hahaha, i might be able to sneak it on my brother's pc, even if he loathes yaoi. he'll probably never know, from the way the wallpaper looks. and he'll appreciate the sushi too. ^_^ " View

but i think i understand what you mean. like puppychow 16 said, i orginally did it for 800x600 resolution. now that i look at it, it's kind of messier-looking now that i made it bigger. but i think that if that is the problem, i'd have to remake the wallpaper from scratch . . . T__T
