usually, when you use a screenshot, it lacks details so one must add details. In this case, the image needs more shadow. It looks too flat and boring. Shadows!
Also, the background also too simple. Maybe you could have it like a blackboard, since she's a teacher. And it could have like writings.
You should try couple more things with the wall, because it has lots of rooms for improvement.

1. the style of the 2 scans are really different. It really doesn't match. I think you'll have to change one of them, preferably Byakuya, cause Rukia's coloring is nicer.
2. The design you chose for the background is really low quality. You'll have to change that.

But I think you should blur the part where the ocean meets the sky. The ocean looks a little too solid, and since its in the distance, it should be less focused. I think.
And the lens flare/sun thing can be a little less brighter. Just a little.
This is just my personal taste, but I think the characters on the left side of the wall doesn't look so blended in as the right because of the green. If its possible,maybe its a good idea to change the green to a tad more blue-ish green. I dunno.

Umm, here's what I think
I think the yellow is a bit too bright, and it's kinda sticking out from rest of the wall. Also, some parts of the line are rough, like his eyes and stuff. The shadows of the clothes needs work, though you did a great job on the hair and the face. I dunno, maybe more colors for the shadows for the clothes? Less fog on Fye, cause the fog covers more than half his body, and though the image is visible, it's somewhat weird. Finally, I think the 1600x1200 resolution simply doesn't work with this image, because Fye looks squished, and really uncomfortable. I suggest you make this a widescreen, so that there's more space around him.

Couple of things to say though:
First, Ichigo looks too dark and flat. Add more shadows and lights to him to make him look like he actually belongs there, and also work on the casted shadow.
Secondly, I'm confused about the dark thing surround the cloth and Ichigo. What is it?
Thirdly, either remove the text in the background, or make it smaller, change the font, and place it somewhere else.
Fourthly, find a higher quality starry sky picture. The current one is blurry and a little grainy.
Finally, the cloth reflection. Is the cloth on a lake or something? It's confusing, so unless there's a reason why it's reflected, remove it.

Just like arlecchino suggests, changing the color of the leaves would improve the wall a lot. The dark orange and red colors are crashing with the light blue sky, but if you make it a bit lighter or pastel-color-ish, then it'll probably look nice. (Like pink or light orange, etc)
More grass would be good too, because right now, the grass is really thin. And try to keep away from photoshop's default brushes, though some people use it superbly. Finally, the left portion of the wall is empty looking compared to the right, so maybe add like birds flying in the distance or something. Good luck!" View

1. Is it possible for you to vector everything? The lines and the edges of the orange colors are a little rough.
2. Try removing the shadow effect. I'm just curious to know how it would look without it, because the image is a little awkward right now.
3. Play around with the other colors, such as the blues and the greens. They look a little out of place in the wallpaper.
4. This is just me coming up with weird ideas, but I thought it would be interesting if you created your own aquatic plants and place it in the bowl, and continue it out of the bowl with a different color. If you don't understand this (cause I suck at explaining...) feel free to message me.

Since the brushes on the left is so different both color and shape-wise compared to the brushes on the right, it if unblended, and it almost makes it look like the wall is separated into two parts. In order to fix that, I suggest you remove the blue brushes, put the red star brushes on both sides of the wall, and then get another brush, probably blue, and add it into the wallpaper. The brush you choose is going to be very important, because that will decide whether your wall is going to a plain, boring one, a busy, distracting one, or a nice, eye-soothing one. Or you can come up with a whole new background, but coming up with a new background is really hard in my opinion, I suggest you try out what you have so far, and if it doesn't work, ask for help again! You should look for a higher quality scan of this to use for your wall.
That way, you won't have jagged lines and grainy shadows.
Second, find a higher quality background. The one you have know is a little blurry and stuff.
