"Frankly, I did not know that this is a yotsubato wall until i click on the tumbnail to have a look at the wall...and now all I can say is ...the idea is cool.
A very creative idea to make a wall with a combination of vector and text as the bg.
One thing which made me like this wall is...it looks simple...even though with the use of vector and text as the bg, it still look nice and not very complex as if everything is cramping together.

anyway, what i like about it is the character and bg combination.
it is a unique wall featuring the backstage of a concert hall.
the combination of colours to show the tones of backstage and the concert arena's lighting are nice.
u can really feel the concert atmosphere by just looking at it.

about the bg:
you can try use stock photos, with modification...
and for me, i'll make the bg more 'unrealistic' by layering it with textures.
try google online to find some and play with the layering.
you can copy the texture to your file, resize it and play with the layer opacity for the effects.
plus, you can also use the filters found in photoshop to fix the bg.
u can use filter on both stock photos and textures, play with their layer opacity later after u've tried the different filter to c the effect.
btw, you can also use brushes to add more of the desire effect on the bg.
ok..now for the characters, you can play with the colour by filling it or brushing it in different layer, to make the layer and bg as a whole.
and about the effect of the 'power' thingy..u can try google for tutorials.
and maybe change the colour a bit because it just looks too dark.
anyway, just ask any wallers again if you need any help.
learning how to make a wall really takes time.

try see how the other wallers manipulate this type of design ( i can't say much because i'm not good in making this type of wall)
the colour matches with the character...and i think that this wall is ok.
u still need to learn more and experiment with different style.
try to use other brushes next time and see what you can get.
