"In my opinion, the extraction of the character is not bad.
Than about the colour of the bg...i don't quite like the colour. Maybe you can try experimenting on more colour to make it suits the character.

the colour of the flame is nice..with different tone..and it mixes well with the black bg, which creates a good contrast.
the design of the font is ok..but i would prefer that you can chenge the colour of the alchemy logo to a brighte red colour...it's just my opinion, you can modify it with a brighter red colour so it looks more obvious...anyway, it's up to you.

i don't have the time to watch FLCL yet...now, back to the wall...what catches my attention is the vector and the use of the colour and halftones.
by the way, i also like the funcky bg. it really mix well with the whole concept of the wall.
in fact, the vectored Vespa is very impressive.
the font? it is fine...but i just feel that the colour makes it sinks into the bg and it is unnoticeable...maybe other colour will work better...well, it's up to your design...XD
anyway, a good wall.just love the bg too much!

the extraction is fine. you can also try to use yellow glow for the stars to see if it looks better...just experiment it and see.

"Ok...the grudge bg is fine for me but about the characters...you should change the colour...i dunno which colour will suits best and you should try to experiment with it :)
anyway, different shades of colour can be used for the character...what i mean is you can use the same colour with different tone ( if you use grey...make it lighter gray or darker grey to show different levels ).
if you wanna stick to the black colour for the characters...you can also try to fix the colour of the bg so that it won't look so dark...make the contrast clearer for the bg and characters...that's what i'm gonna say :)
about the font, i think it is too dull...you should try changing it for it to look better...the placing of the words are fine for me.
hope the others will help ya more since i'm blur about walling after stop doing it for months! good luck on your experimentation :D"
