This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

"Very nice scenic work~ ^_^ Beautiful color choice. However, the castle in the background has some rough edges which maybe you could smooth out. And on the girl, on the ribbons around hers hands and head --- there are a few spots you forgot ot extract (or at least, it looks that way).

"Like I said, I love the lighting. I'm a sucker for good shadowing and simplicity sooo... this is downright awesome. However, the shadowing near the bottom, above the light source, should be closer to the girls than the shadow near the top --- which you did perfectly. But it should also be clearer and more defined. As the shadow splays out wider across the top of the wall it will be blurrier and have less of a shape than the bottom. Right now, they're about the same amount of blur.
Other than that, cool stuff. ^^
By the way, what's with you and ecchi anymore, Brom Brom? =_=;; Seriously... too much for your eyes, youngin'. *hands a cookie* Go watch some Sesame Street. " View

"Mmm, wow, this is just really... PRETTY, Yumi! XD You matched the texture from the scan to the bg perfectly. I like the spread out swirls too --- usually they're just centered around the character. Feathers were a really nice touch, as well. ^^

Your painting is fantastic, as always --- has a 3Dish look to it almost. And Kyendo did an amazing job with the background. The pillars really blew me away... their texture, perspective, and the perfect amount of shading on each to give that 'fading' look.

Remembering the original image you were working on, this is seriously great texture/grunge work --- especially considering this is your second wallpaper. The whole scene is very ... Armageddon-esque. And it may just be a personal opinion, but I think it would have looked better as a while if you just went with grunge on the objects instead of abstract as the abstract looks a bit off on the buildings/ground.
