This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"Sure the vector is a little raw, but that adds to it's charm. You've chosen good complimentary colours, kept it simplistic, and let all the sparkling effects do all the talking for you... It's charming. Thank you for making this & sharing it with us." View

"I love the general simplicity of this. The way that the sky crudely tatters it's way across the sky, and the basic yet fluffy look to the little... fluff... things... I have no idea what this is from, but it's cute :3
"Oh My God! Don't apologise for the flowers! Never apologise for flowers! Promise me you wont apologise any more for beautiful flowers!!
Nice vector! I can't imagine how difficult it must be to vector Green Glass stuff, but you made it look easy & beautiful. It's incredible to think that you didn't use any textures, and what a clever technique to use the scan too.
It is beautiful! Lovely warm colours, and a genuine sense of autum. Absolutely beautiful. I'm downloading (a shamefully low resolution) to brighten up my fugly desktop at work. Thank you!" View

I am falling...

"This is a wonderful adaptation. The vector is strong but retains a soft tone, and melts seemlessly into the background. Yet it is sad, that this is how you've been feeling... drifting & falling like some lonesome ghostly lady entangled in vines. Romantic, yet with a heavy dose of tragedy.
I hope you feel better soon, and have a good break over Christmas/New Year." View

And more than anything else, I hope your dog is a lot better now." View

"Eeee... there's something very strange about seeing my name in giant red letters! :o
Anyway, I did comment oer on MT, but I'll comment here too... because I can :) You musthave the patience of a SAINT! I drives me nuts to sit and clean the scans. Many of them have images from the other side of the sheet visible, so it takes me ages with the clone tool to clean it all out... but to extract it all?! My God, even I don't have that kind of patience! XD
It's a beautiful background that lets the girl & her roses shine out. No over-whelming details, just nice calm soothing blue lights effects. Personally I think I'd have left out the title, but again kudos for the patience to extract it :)" View

This wallpaper has made me so happy, ot just because it's my scan, but because it's stunningly beautiful! The sheer amount of work that you've put into it is breath-taking! It's wonderfully created, and such stunning detail too, you can almost feel a warm summer's breeze blow through the garden.
"Wow! You've perfectly captured the moment Howl caught Calcifer as a falling star! It's a beautiful piece of work, and the thumbnail does it absolutely no justice at all. The suble textures in the colouring are magical and add to the feel of the moment... Really stunning!" View

"It's so sweet. Not just because of the "OMG! Cloud! *squee!*" factor ;) but because you've treated the artwork with respect. The Yubinbasya art would be drowned out if you threw down loads of brushes & textures.

"This is amazing. I would never have realised it was Fruits Basket if it weren't for the text. It's full of rich dark, autumnal colours and gritty textures that makes it so far apart from how the series looks.
And yes, the pattern of leaves adds a very Brothers Grimm story-book feel to it. Such imagination & beauty in a world that's full of dark shadows, where two people can be lost in each other ^.^" View

"Please forgive my 'late' comment; this came up on the front page and I was just amazed by it. The rich colours are what first caught my eye, but the luscious textures, an the post-violent remnants really drew me in to have a closer look.
The idea that it's a poker game with a bloody ending is extremely vivid, but the detail & colour make this a real work of art. The 'cards' are a clever way to work in the Kino's characters without having them actually play. Just everything about this wall has really blown me away... Fantastic!" View

"Chobits isn't my favourite series, but I do enjoy it. When I first saw this image I thought how much of a stark contrast it is to the original CLAMP art. And I can fully understand why you would choose it.
Personally I'm glad you've not opted to bombard the image with lots of textures or brushes. The cimplicity of the wall *adds* to the very beauty of the original artwork. The slightly darkened tones make for a more unsettled atmosphere, and the strange text-texture creates a scientific feel.
"OMG! This is wonderful! From the perfectly smooth thick black lines that draw you in, and the luscious detail in her fan & kimono. It's peaceful & graceful with a quirky touch to it... No wonder she drives Watanuki-Kun crazy ;)" View
