Black and white at it's best with a dash of red to keep things interesting.

"Love it, but the fact that it's flipped has been a perpetual source of annoyance to me since I randomly noticed it one day. Excellent clean-up work and compositioning. "

"A wallpaper that made an excellent transition from scan to wallpaper. As many previous commentators have noticed, this paper wonderfully captures a certain autumnal ambiance through its use of color."

"One of my favorite examples of a grunge wallpaper. Excellent composition and selection of typeface makes for what is certainly one of the best Shana desktops available.

A well-deserved (and long-belated) favorite goes to this one."

Murata: Misfiled

"An old favorite; if I had to find a fault with it, it would be in the perspective; some of the cabinets farther down appear mis-sized. Otherwise, easily one of my favorite Murata wallpapers by one of my favorite wallpaper artists."

"Lovely composition and manipulation of the original scan.

I've had this one in my rotation for quite a while, so I thought that I might as well add it to my favorites."

So Long Mr. Despair

"I really like the texture work in your wallpaper; it not only serves to give the work a more aged feel (which works given the more traditional garb donned here by both Nozomu and Kafuka) but because of how the art style is done in the series in general. I don't think the original non-windowed wallpaper is as bad as you make it out to be, but I think that if you had just tweaked the color on Kafuka (made her paler, as in your windowed version, and altered the contrast on her kimono, for example) it would have made her stand out just enough to make it work.

Bottom line: the world needs more Zetsubou-Sensei wallpapers, and this is an excellent one indeed. "

"An amusing concept, but in the end the execution and composition seem to fall a bit short."

Soundscapes Album Cover: Nitro+Mascot Soniko

"Although the elements in the center are interesting (and your choice of color palette there works well), there's just a bit too much going on, and as a whole there is no real coherence in the composition. But in my opinion, the critical shortcoming of this wallpaper is its misuse of space. There really is no balance in the piece whatsoever, and that pretty much eliminates it from consideration as a desktop wallpaper in my book. I understand that it's a "design and concept" wall, but to me that doesn't excuse its weaknesses."

NERV Pyscho Drama

"Like some others who have commented before me, I must say that I absolutely love the idea behind this wallpaper, but I found the execution lacking. The background clearly does not mesh up; halfway across the page the building fails to mesh up, the grass level changes by Ikari Gendou's feet, etc. If it weren't for the glaring visual discord created by these details this would be an absolutely brilliant wallpaper.

Excellent touch with the lawn ornaments, by the way."

Akatsuki Vector Circles

"The very moment I saw all of the circles in the thumbnail, I said to myself, "must be Omnidevil." Overall it's not a bad work, but I can't say that I like the layout much, as there is poor balance in the composition largely because of your trademark circles."

"Oh dear. To be honest, I think you have quite a bit to go. For one, the quality of the background is terrible, and the text -- choice of font, placement, etc. -- is extremely tacky.

"Not bad, but I think that your use and placement of text could still use work. The labels for the various Host Club members, for example, seem as if they were added as an afterthought and -- in my opinion -- detract from the overall presentation."

Panda's of Rock!

1 year 6 months ago

"Angel-on-Dragon made this point a few comments back, but given that nobody else has noted it, I feel that it deserves mention again: use of the apostrophe and the letter 's' indicates a suffix and not a plural for the noun being modified. In this case, your title literally means "the of rock of panda" which, I believe we can all agree, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever."

"Like the previous commentator, I have to say that I absolutely love the concept, though I find the difference in perspective between the foreground scan of Tatiana and the background image jarring. If it weren't for that, I would certainly considering putting into my current wallpaper shuffle."

Femmes Fatale : Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned

2 years 1 week ago

"I can't say that I like Witchblade at all, but that doesn't prevent this from being a well-executed wallpaper. Nice selection and placement of subjects, excellent vector work, good overall composition. The shadows on the wall are a nice touch.

If I had to be nitpicky and find fault with your wallpaper, it would definitely be with the title, on two counts. First, the plural of femme fatale is femmes fatale (and not femme fatales as you used). Second, if you're using a literary quote for your subtitle, the actual phrase is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", which has a subtle but significant difference in meaning from what you've used. Again, just being nitpicky. Good work overall!"

the Vectored Spread

"The original scan that you made the vectors from is one of my favorite Fullmetal Alchemist scans of all time, and I'm glad that there's a wallpaper that really does it justice. Great job on the vector (of course), and the compositioning; also, I thought the obelisk was a very nice touch. An excellent wallpaper overall, and definitely something that will go into my wallpaper shuffle."

Winter Prelude Version II

2 years 5 months ago

"Like you, I also really love the armor (and in fact all of the costumes) in the original scan, and thought that they would be great in a wallpaper. Your concept is a very nice one, and your work with retouching the scan was very well done. However, like many wallpapers that use stock photos, the contrast in colors and styles between the foreground art and the background photo is a bit jarring to the eye.

In my opinion, a little more work on the background (anything from adjusting the colors to better complement the foreground to a something extreme like a complete reworking or even vectoring) would bump this from a good wallpaper to a superb one."

"A wallpaper of my favorite series using my favorite scan from that series. What's there not to like? Excellent compositioning and use of color, but above all, I really love that light airy effect that you use in this piece; it gives the wallpaper a certain heavenly feel to it.

The tiny figures of Claus and Alvis are an excellent touch as well. Awesome work! This will certainly go on my wallpaper shuffle."
