This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
You need papers to download scans, yes. However, you don't have to BUY them necessarily. Check the faq for more details... basically, just be active on the website and you'll be fine.
"I don't know what it lacks really. I find it cute already. Though it's simple, but I think simplicity is beauty." View

"Lovely effects.. cool indeed. How about using a different background rather than the Windows Wallpaper and try zooming in on the focus. ^_^" View

"Your background is just plain.. sometimes simplicity is beauty but there are times when it isn't. Try adding something that would match well with the scan." View

"Nicely done. But the characters looks like they were taken from different images. Try to clean the edges so that it won't be obvious. " View

"You could extract the render and put a background instead of just dividing the wall into two. Try to use filters and brushes." View

"You should clean the scan more. Or try vectoring it. As for the background, you could add something else so it would look cooler (change the hue/ saturation, put more effects). And lessen the clouds a little. Try playing with your brushes a bit more and you might get a good outcome." View

"It's done pretty well. One thing that's wrong is the text. The words itself doesn't fit the wall and it contradicts the girls situation. The brushes needs work too. " View

"The background and texts are plain. The white texts are getting all the focus instead of the image. And are those the same persons?" View

"You should find a high quality scan for a wall or you could clean the edges and vector it but I'd go with the first. The texts doesn't make any sense to me (and the glasses too). As for the background, I think you need to work on it. There are parts w/c looked like it was erased (I mean the checkered gray and white that you see when you make a new transparent layer) Or maybe that's part of the style. Umm.. how should I say this, practice and practice. ^_^" View

"It's joe? The characters blend with the background well. I like the foggy effect. What I think is a little bit shabby are the texts. I think it doesnt blend nicely with the wall. It stands out a little. But even though, I still like this wall. Em a major fan of bakuretsu tenshi myself. ^_^" View

"How do you do that? Now I like to learn from you. It's the first time that I saw this kind of style. Now what I like about this wall is how you covered up the missing parts of her body. Normally I myself won't think that way you see.
This wall is so attractive yet mysterious.. ^_^ Great work of art indeed." View

"Even though it's dark, I like it. ^_^ When I first saw this, I thought the symbols were like the ones in charmed. The way you blend the styles is unique. I just love this wall. I also like the arrangement of the fonts there. Thumbs up." View

"The character isn't that bad at all.. though the colors don't blend that much, I still love it. It's pleasing to the eyes. I love the way you use the pen tool to create the trapar wings.. Neat." View
