This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
"Glad to see your wall up! And by the looks of it, lots of people like it =P. You know my opinion of the wall from the SZ thread. I'll have to give you more work next time, ha ha ha." View

"Very clean, very simple, very nice. The character goes very well with the background and blends smoothly. Well done." View

"You have done a great job with this wallpaper. The amount of work you put into this piece really shines through. While it might not adorn my desktop, ecchi doesn't mix well with a home/work computer =(, it surely deserves a favorite check. Well done!" View

"Excellant job. I enjoy the painted feel very much. Now to do a bit of Photoshoping to get it to fit my widescreen monitor. =)" View

"Good job on the vector. The thumbnail (and zoom) don't show the crisp and clarity of the acutal wall. I share your opinion on the simpleness. If I had to change one thing I would make the fill the character with a solid color or a different gradiant than the background. Great job." View

"You've done an excellant job with this wall. Great texture usage. The color scheme is perfect. It's very easy on the eyes. And she's far enough away from the right edge that the Vista sidebar doesn't overlap her, ha ha. Thanks for this great widescreen." View

"I would agree with the others, that the raster lines don't add to the image. I also would have added harsher lighting to Simca because of the presence of the moon. I'm not a fan of the mountain but that's my personal feeling. It's a great image of Simca and I like your color choice." View
