After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"This looks really sweet but if I can pick on it, I would like to see some backlight on the silhouette so the guy standing (is it ryu?) looks scarier/tougher/meaner, in short more dramatic effect. Wouldn't mind some detailing on him as well, so I can tell who it is easier.
And for the red eyes, perhaps could be better toned using soft-edged brushes to give glowing effect, because solid fill makes them look flat.
Last thing, 1024 is very small, larger res would be good if you can help it.
I'm loving the aura though, very masculine as street fighter is and makes me want to shout 'bring it on!'! Good job!" View

Totally adores the level of details and all those crazy strands of glowing lines, though I find the purple glows a bit strong and also something about the grey+purple combo that doesn't sit right with me. Just a personal taste thing I don't know how to relate to purple, compared to relating brown with warmth. Mysterious mood maybe?

"Great concept but I feel the result suffers from too much filtering. You also shouldn't have bothered with all the different types of fx makes it look messy. Best to stick with one idea - realistic, painted or sketch look, then you just aim for that, don't mix all three. Plus, you should always try to produce your own fx, never rely on the default photoshop filters - they really stick out like a sore thumb and generally are bad news.
Keep it up and keep practising. Given the way you choose your scan, come up with an original concept and being able to stage and plan your concept ahead, you're not far off.

The title idea and placement roxors too. The vector and the subtle paint job for the shadows are also nicely done. I noticed the outlines for the feet are a *tiny* bit thinner than the rest. Whatever, I still love it.

Don't worry, the result definitely paid off. It looks absolutely magnificent and as graceful as the original pose/expression in that killer scan, though I find the hand and the abstract bg stuff rather distracting and I think personally I would settle with just him and all that stuff set on a very very soft transparency on the background. That way leaves more space on my short attention span adoring the badass uber-bishie supercoolness vector.

"To me what makes this wall a winner is your willingness to step out of your comfort zone of your typical vectoring technique which gave you massive successes in the past, and to experiment, discover and learn about new techniques - whether that's turning 2D into 3D or painting skills. That is quite inspiring to me, because as an artist you can never and should never settle down and be comfortable, it's always about challenging yourself to a new level. And I admire that, regardless whether the outcome is successful or not.
Nevertheless, looking at the result I'm just awed at the amount of effort and patience that you had to finish this. The complexity and level of details are just amazing as usual, although I agree that the overall look isn't as striking as your previous works.

The rendering on the dude is also pretty good, although I have minor complaints about the arms being slightly too long and too many mountain peaks.
