"This is such a lovely wall, great outcome!
Somehow gives me a melancholic vintage kinda feel, maybe because of the 'dirty dabbing' and the duller cream and green colours. Love the small vector things, makes it more interesting and adds depth. The text is slightly too close to the edge but that's a minor issue given such a lovely wall - well done!"

"Love the way you captured the humour in this. I like the off-balance composition, thought that's what made this wall unique. Vector job is good but kinda expecting more from a senior member like yourself. Love the yellow-on-yellow choice, subtle but works well. Also like the increasing size text thing, somehow supported the motion of the car.

"Excellent vectoring of the character, looks very cool with the black skintone and white hair.
Thought the background could have more elements to enhance the pose and the character's vector style. The bubbles look fine but perhaps it could add more depth if there were other elements as well. But I like the overall dark/light balance and the title design is very nice too.

Thought it was a girl - couldn't tell it's FMA lolz!

"Uwaaah the idea is soo absolutely sweet but I agree with Beckor that I was somewhat disappointed with the full size quality given the thumbnail looks so awesome.

Spike's vector looks like auto-traced looking at the amount of details lost. Same goes with the tree leaves, looks almost lazy. Embossed text doesn't work, flat would've worked better imo. The abstract clouds and stuff at the bottom is good though could use tidying up at some parts.

I loved how you came up with the concept - design and story nicely connected. Definitely enjoyed reading your description about it - just really really wished the execution and quality were better."

"Isn't this a great scan?! Love it from when I first saw it on puppychow's wall.
A rather simple wall but I like it - didn't try to do too much with the background hence focusing more on the character.
Not quite fond of the font choice though I must say, fancy a more gothic font type maybe?

Also thought that perhaps this wall is better if it was narrower i.e. 5:4 or 4:3 aspect ratio rather than widescreen. Just that the character is all the way to the left, leaving the rest of the wall rather empty/spacey, so perhaps if the text was a lot closer to the character then it might help make it a bit more balanced.
Do you know about the rules-of-third? Worth checking if you don't already know it.

Oh first wall? Well then, this is an excellent start - congrats and keep it up!"

Nicely vectored, but I just wish there was more on the background that would enhance the mood i.e. stage lighting, spotlights, silhouttes of the other band members etc. Something subtle or even a super simple abstract background could work - anything to break the solid black fill and to make it a bit more interesting.

I like how it follows her figure though, somehow makes it more feminine ..

"No worries matey, you had the ideas to begin with and all I did was give comments.
Was a pleasure to see the progressive steps of this wall and I'm sure you learnt a bunch of new things which is the most important part esp if you're only just started out.

And the result? Looks great, much much better than the first time I saw it!
There's still stuff that I would have done differently but in the end it's your wall and as long as you're happy with it then that's the way it goes. Being able to filter through comments and combining them with your own design sense is also a skill you know :)

Great posters idea and appropriate use of blur to give them a sense of distance/depth.
Nicely vectored too.
My only complaint would be that the colour of the wall is a bit too similar to his skin colour, perhaps it could do with lighter colours e.g. pastel light yellow or washed peach maybe? Not sure ..
His skin colour is also a touch too saturated for me. Maybe I just need a new pair of glasses ..
